Chapter 19

As it turned out, things are going much better for Diantha, Eclairisse and Eusine than Caleb.

They visited them often as he was recovering in the hospital room.

A few days later he had enough of staying here, besides he already felt healthy so there is no reason to stay any longer.

Morever, Caleb wanted to train and he felt the same drive coming from his Magby too.

The events that happened in this couple of months weighed heavily on Caleb's mind.

After he got out of the hospital, for the rest of the year Caleb has been grinding non-stop on his training. Not resting for even a day.

All this while Caleb had contemplated on visiting the young girl. The same one who had her eye gauged out and experienced a traumatic event.

He wanted to see for himself how she was fairing after that day. He was very concerned on her because of how young she was.

On the other hand, he hesitated to visit since he knew that the girl should still be currently mentally unstable. So he held himself back and refrain from going.

All this while since the beginning he reincarnated to this world, he'd always had the goal of living his life to the fullest and enjoy the wonders of this world. His dreams were big since he had the knowledge, now though he just felt powerless.

One time he gained the power that no other could achieve at his age, forming a Mental Bridge with his starter Pokemon. He thought he was special and this bossted his ego, but the experience he got from the terrorist attack left him humbled.

If he was unable to protect himself, how can he protect others who he cared and the civilian that he swore to bring justice for?

He was unable to defend himself well enough to travel unmolested. If he wasn't strong enough, then that just signified how ignorant he sounded on becoming a trainer that would travel the wonders of the world.

Realizing all this things made Caleb enlightened to challenge himself and try his hardest.

...

Weeks turned into months, and months turned into years. So much time had passed since that day.

It had been three years.

Within one of the training room of Wind Breeding Center. Two children could be seen battling with their respective Pokemons.

A girl with a beauty that couldn't be compared, have slightly musculared build and dark grey colored hair. Although she seemed to just be eleven-twelve years of age, his face and aura was the definition of cuteness of a goddess.

She stood at a height of 1.5 meters(4'11ft), impressive for a eleven year old gal compared to her.

She was Daintha Carnotion, a smirk plastered on her face. She was wearing a training suit that was a bit roughed up and had dirt, her image looked like the daughter of a goddess of war.

In front of her was her pokemon, Ralts, her starter had visibly grown bigger and taller. Judging from the pressure of her psychic power, the pokemon had obvious progress resulting from hard training.

Standing opposite to them by fifteen meters apart, was a certain familiar light-blue haired and the greenish hue eyed Caleb Laurent. He had grown his hair and had never cut it for the past years, it was now flowing freely behind his back, unlike Diantha who kept her hair in a neat comb.

Caleb's clothes was dirtied as well, but much worse, since they had started training much early than Diantha has.

And in front of him was his starter Pokemon, Magby. His Magby was now much more taller than before and not to mention bulkier which was the gains they had from their intense hellish training that was done every single day very strictly.

Three years had passed and the two partners had changed a lot. They had grown much taller, handsomer(To Magby's case, much more fiery?), their disposition slightly changed, they both had clearly become stronger.

Both Diantha and Caleb had, but moreso for Caleb since Diantha couldn't keep up with Caleb's training regime.

Both pokemons were fighting, Magby was trying to catch the nimble Ralts in his clutches but he couldn't keep up with her teleporting.

Caleb had him back up and Magby threw an impressive flamethrower at Ralts direction.

Ralts dodged the attack with another teleport, but Caleb and Magby had anticipated that.

With a swift burst of his legs, Magby sprung to where Ralts teleported and punched her petite body with a Fire Punch, which landed a pretty good spot but painful for the other party.

"Bang!"

With a slight tremor, Ralts was smacked down on to the hard rock ground. Creating a small pit that numerous cracks formed due to the fissure.

"Let's call that as my win for today, Diantha." With a much deeper voice than years ago, our beloved main character, Caleb proclaimed another win in his belt.

"Heh, don't act so smug, Caleb. We will defeat you another time. So for now, enjoy this cause I will brutally defeat you and rip that annoying face off your head." Diantha countered jokingly.

"Anyways, it's another win for me. It's 4 out of 69. With 69 wins for me." Caleb chuckled which greatly annoyed Diantha, obvious by the massive thick mark on her forehead.

He reached his one hand to Diantha's shoulders and said. "Ah don't worry too much though Diantha, you're very powerful. When compare to our other classmates from Class-A excluding Eunise and Eclairisse, the others couldn't compare to you. You even fought and beat some fifth years in the Academia last week."

"I've trained with you and sparred with you after all. So achieving those things after having the fortune of training with this great'ol me is one of the biggest blessings that was given to you by Arceus."

Diantha was feeling good about the first half of what he was saying. But after the last half, Diantha got angry and threw a kick annoyingly at Caleb.

"Damn you! Can't you say something good to me for once without bragging about yourself?"

Anticipating it, Caleb dodged, while rubbing his rose cockily. He giggled while running away. "Maybe after you beat me and Magby, which I doubt greatly. It would at least take you a hundred years to do that."

"Come back here, Caleb!!"

"Don't wanna, bleehhh!!"

"Grrrrrrrr!!! Don't make me catch youuuu or else I..."
