"Is it..." The adults in the room looked at each other in shock. They seem to know what had caused Caleb's sudden fainting by the looks on their faces.
"Hey guys tell me! You guys knew something don't you? Your expression shows it all." Caleb asked as he noticed their behavior.
"Brother Clint, I think your information regarding 'that' is more detailed than mine." Holland who wanted to speak turned towards Clint.
Clint nodded having held an expression of doubt, but he still said. "From what we knew, your situation is only something when a pokemon and a trainer formed a 'Mental Bridge'." he paused his words, then continued. "We only heared rumors about this phenomenon, and I personally was told of this with your uncles and aunts by your grandfather. Your grandfather said that this is called a 'Mental Bridge', it isn't something anyone within the ranks of the 'Four Great Wall' Trainer ranks could achieve! I was curious about it and had done some research. What I could confidently say is that this is impossible to happen at your age! Because, a mental bridge could only occur to a pokemon trainer and it's pokemon when they had formed a deep bond with each other, this bond and connection metamorphically creates a bridge between the spiritual landscape of the pokemon and a trainer. This would cause extreme pain on the brain of both since the spiritual landscape of the person are literally being teared open to welcome the spiritual sense of the pokemon, likewise the spiritual senses of the person would also enter the spiritual landscape of the pokemon."
"This is impossible to happen to you since it brings a great toll to your mind. Not to mention you who is just eight year old, your grandfather had only achieved that state with his pokemons only by having done countless training, going through life and death situations together for decades and it was one of the fortious encounter that leaded him to be a outstanding trainer. Morever, the most important aspect one had to have is a huge capacity of mentality which I highly doubt a eight years old could possess. Father once mentioned that by forming a mental bridge, one is a step closer to becoming an Integration phase trainer!"
"S-so is it a good thing or a bad thing?" No matter how much Caleb thought as he heared the words from his father, he felt flustered. "What does a mental bridge benefit me?"
*Creak*
"Pokemon battling." At that moment, Cesar and his wife, Cecilia entered the room. Behind them was a tall fashionable pokemon, a Gothitelle.
"I heared about your situation, and I formed a general idea about it." Cesar sat down near Caleb's bed as he looked at him with a strange gaze that made Caleb uncomfortable.
*Twak*
"You! Old Couger stop staring at my precious grandson like a criminal, don't you see he is scared by you staring at him like that."
The old woman smacked Cesar on the back of his head with her crane furiously. She was Cecilia, Caleb's grandmother. She slowly leaned close towards Caleb as she smiled fondly at him. "Do you want candy my child? This old ugly mug of grandfather of yours didn't scared you right? How do you feel, hmm?"
"I-I'm good grandma." Caleb smiled and looked at the fully evolved psychic that had came together with his grandparents.
Gothitelle, the pokemon of his grandmother. He remembered this Pokemon's voice when he was carried by the heavy duty stretcher.
"Thank you." He bowed his body as low as he could with his current position, fully knowing that this was one of the Pokemons that had helped him.
"Goth, Telle~" Gothitelle replied with a smile as it tenderly patted Caleb's head.
"Both of you are already getting along very well, Lady. Huhu, I'm jealous." Cecilia commented as she saw their interaction.
"-Ehem." Cesar interupted them. Not minding what happened earlier since starting an argument with his wife never ends well at his end. He came here for a different reason after all.
"Your father told us on the phone about your situation. Boy, you put yourself in a very bad predicament if what formed in your landscape is really a mental bridge with your Magby." Cesar glanced at Holland, Diantha's father.
He quickly understood what he conveyed by the look. The Carnotion Family quietly left the room despite Diantha's struggle on wanting to stay. They don't have any position to listen since it really looked to be a very serious situation.
Caleb eyed his grandfather seriously. The old man was doing so too.
His parents were listening to what the old man has to say since he had the most experience regarding the subject and had also achieved it.
"Mental bridges like your father had said, are very difficult to achieve. Just looking at all the trainers in this whole world, you would find how shocking it is to how low of a percent trainers that has achieved mental integration bond, in short MIB, are in numbers... It is lower than 7% and coupled with your young age, I never encountered or even heared rumors of such. Because of how absurb it would sound."
Cesar sighed. "I won't nag on further on how shocking it is hearing you formed MIB already. The benefit of using a MIB are mainly showed through pokemon battling, only in some cases in a few pokemon could MIB be used in a wide variety. The abilities give the trainer and the pokemon absolute synchronicity that greatly benefits both individuals. A trainer also gained the hidden ability of the pokemon, although it is needed to be unlocked like how a pokemon could uncover and use theirs at any moment and any time."
"Since you had formed an MIB with your Magby, naturally you'll get his 'blaze' ability."
Hearing those Caleb could see the huge advantage this could bring him, he was estatic while the other people who are ignorant of a more in-depth details regarding it gasped.
"What I am very curious is how you had achieved this at such a young age." Cesar scanned Caleb from head to toe trying to pry something from his grandson. Wanting to know if he had hidden something from them.
He sighed. "According to data and the researchers that dedicated themselves to this particularly, they had concluded that at LEAST the mentality of the person has to be above the age of twenty-five for one to withstand the backlash of breaking through this feat. Although I am happy for the fact that my grandson at such a young age has achieved this, the dangers that your shoulders are lifting are far beyond others if people with meticulous intentions came to know of your situation, especially crime syndicates, they would go as far as opening your skull."
