Chapter 92

Dark Port, which was considered part of both the Dark Town and the Fuchsia City, was the sea transport and trade hub in this part of the Kanto Region.

After nearly a day's long journey from Camomile Island, their Ferry arrived at this port right before the sun sank into the sea. They stretched their limbs, took their time getting used to the feel of standing on the ground, and then Aizen and the girls headed straight to a restaurant at the port since they had not had lunch yet.

It was a shabby-looking Tavern, but luckily the food served here was delicious. All of them ate to their full and then they headed towards a Renting Station to rent a few bikes.

Fuchsia City was 20 Kilometres away from the port, and since the sun had already set down and there were no decent lodgings here, the group decided to rent bikes to reach Fuchsia City before 9 pm.

Of course, they could have used their Pokémon, but the road that led to Fuchsia City cut through a forest of dark woods, and it was a famous route for bikers, who enjoyed taking this road in the evening and at night.

They had to pay extra for the most premium bikes since everything else was already rented. But it was also good since these bikes were better and more comfortable.

"The loser pays for tonight's dinner!" Misty immediately shot off after saying those words, but she had to stop after gaining some distance when she found out that no one had followed her. "Come on!" She shouted and waved her hand, but Anira and Leaf just giggled and took their time as they helped their little Pokémon sit in the baskets.

Both Togepi and Pichu seemed very excited, and then Aizen helped Leaf buckle up the Incubator after she took her seat on the bike.

Aizen too called out his little Elekid and helped her sit in his bike's basket to enjoy the ride, which it appreciated a lot.

And only when everyone was ready did they ride off, and Misty immediately paddled up to gain some distance.

"The race is on" She yelled once again as she shot off. But this time, both the young girls chased after her.

"Pichu!!"

"Togepree!!"

The young Pokémon were thrilled by the sudden acceleration, and they happily cheered as they chased after Misty.

"Gengar," Aizen called out to the Pokémon that was hiding in his shadow. "Keep an eye on everyone."

"Gengaaar!!"

The Ghost-Type Pokémon replied and then emerged out of his Shadow before chasing after the girls.

It only took a few seconds to catch up with the girls and then it silently merged with Anira's shadow to protect them against any accidents.

"Do you not want to win the race?" Sabrina curiously asked as she rode her bike by his side.

"Let them have their fun." He chuckled. "It would not really be fair if I complete. I am physically much superior to them." He told her and then looked at her beautiful side profile. "What about you?"

"If you are not competing, then I am not interested." She said as she looked around the woods and the beautiful road ahead that was illuminated by yellow streetlights.

"Ele..."

The yellow Pokémon, who was sitting in the basket of Aizen's bike suddenly urged him to go faster.

"Okay." He chuckled and then upped the speed. "Happy?"

"Ele...Ele..."

"Yes, my Lady!" He lightly laughed and then turned to look at Sabrina. "Let's catch up to them."

The pink-eyed girl only nodded her head and kept up with him as they rode faster to catch up with the girls.

"Wow... They are really pushing it." He was surprised when even after a few minutes they did not manage to catch up with the girls. And they had to up their speed once again.

Elekid was really enjoying herself now and kept asking him to keep going faster and faster.

Even the other riders on the road were surprised by how fast both Aizen and Sabrina were pushing their bikes, and some even fearfully looked back to check if there was anything dangerous following them.

The two finally managed to catch up with the girls, or a crowd of people to be exact, who were gathered by the side of the road with more than a dozen bikes parked next to them.

By the looks of it, it did not seem like there was any trouble, and when they approached the group, they finally understood the reason behind the gathering of people.

Leaf was sitting on her knees as the Egg in her arm kept blinking. And both Anira and Misty were sitting on her sides, a little behind her.

"Aizen!" The hazel-eyed girl happily smiled when she caught him standing there with Sabrina, and he happily nodded to her.

Everyone present there was a Trainer, and they were really happy at getting a chance to watch an Egg hatch. Some were even recording the process. And there were a few older Trainers who were advising the younger ones to not make a noise when the little newborn Pokémon comes out of the egg.

Leaf was really grateful for those words, and her smile bloomed brightly when the Egg stopped blinking and brilliantly shined.

Everyone watched with bated breaths as they were really looking forward to seeing what Pokémon it was, and when the light subsided and a beautiful and small cloud bird replaced the Egg in Leaf's arms, a few could not help but gasp out in surprise. However, they immediately covered their mouths, fearing that they might scare the newborn Pokémon.

"Swaabluuu..." The little Pokémon curiously looked at the girl who was holding it in her arms.

"Hey.." She gently whispered with a smile and the little Pokémon nuzzled its face in her chest.

"Wabluuu!"

It sounded so excited and the hazel-eyed girl could not help but laugh merrily, warming everyone's heart.

When she finally captured her new Pokémon in a beautiful blue and white Luxury Ball after it closed its eyes and fell asleep, the people around them loudly cheered for her and excitedly chatted with each other.

"Congratulations!" Everyone congratulated her, and then the hazel-eyed girl announced something that excited the crowd even more.

"To anyone who's heading to Fuschia City, the dinner is on me!"

And with that, their group of five became a group of seventeen people, and everyone raced towards Fuchsia City.

Surprisingly, Misty won the race by a good distance, and no, she did not cheat.

"I won!" She proudly looked at Aizen when he and Sabrina arrived at the entrance of the city.

"Yup." He chuckled at her smugness. "No wonder you have such toned and beautiful long legs." He teased her, and her face warmed up in a beautiful blush.

After, Anira and Leaf picked up a restaurant, which was right next to the Renting Station where they had to return the bikes, and everyone had a fulfilling meal.

Leaf kept her word, and she paid a hefty bill from her savings. And the new acquaintances they made today, sincerely expressed their gratitude and wished her best of luck for the league before parting ways.

Unbeknownst to them, most of them were going to fondly remember this night years later, telling the story to their friends about the night they met the famous Leaf Green and witnessed the birth of her beloved Dragon-Fairy.

The two young girls happily skipped ahead as they walked towards the Pokémon Center, and Misty, who was quite bold today, hugged Aizen's arm as she walked by his side.

She seemed really happy tonight after winning the race, and it was as if she was declaring him as her property, and to his relief, Anira did not seem to mind it. The little Orayen Princess was just too happy today and was busy chatting with her hazel-eyed friend.

As soon as they entered the Fuschia City Pokémon Center, they came across a friend whom they had last seen two months ago.

"Leaf!" The auburn-haired boy happily called out.

"Ritchie!" And Leaf was surprised to find her classmate and friend there. "Are you here for the Gym Battle too?!" She excitedly asked.

"Yes!" The boy nodded his head. "And I am heading to the Safari Zone next."

"That's our plan too!"

"Great! Gary will be here tomorrow, and maybe we can all head to the Safari Zone together."

"Yes!"

After a round of greetings, Aizen and Sabrina excused themselves from the group and booked their Suite. He also registered himself and Leaf for tomorrow's Gym Battle and picked up the first hours in the morning for their battles.

Sabrina nodded to him and then headed towards their suite, and he walked back to the group, who were sitting at a table in the lounge.

"Thank you!" He politely said to the Chansey that served him a bowl of ice cream.

"Chansey chan!" The evolution of Happiny seemed pleased and asked him to enjoy his meal before walking away to serve other Trainers in the lounge.

"Wow! You have six badges too!" Ritchie was surprised when Leaf showed him the badges she had won so far.

"Gary has six too?" She guessed because Ritchie had already shown her his five badges, so he was not talking about himself.

"Yes!" He nodded his head. "He has not challenged the Vermilion City Gym yet, but he challenged the Celadon City Gym that I skipped."

"I see. Do you plan on heading to Cinnabar Island next?"

"Yes! Any pointers?"

"Yup. Go in with everything." She smirked and he smirked back at her.

The two of them shared stories from their adventures so far, and everyone joined in their conversation too.

Ritchie was really a happy-natured and amiable person, who was so easy to get along with. And Misty could not help but paint a contrasting picture of him and Ash in her mind. However, as soon as that thought crossed her mind, she felt chills up her spine, fearing that the dumb boy from Pallet Town might really show up there.
