Chapter 133

Cynthia laughed when she saw the Clefairy in Aizen's arm asking him to send her inside his Pokéball, and the Orayen Prince secretly sent her inside the Promise Ball instead before he got off his Mega Salamance.

"Prince..."

"Graaaarrr!"

The sudden roar from his Dragon scared the Queen, who stumbled back a little, and Aizen gently stroked its neck before smiling at it.

"Behave, Sky, and yes, you may play around with Rexi."

As soon as his words fell and the Draegor Blood nodded to her Dragon as well, both the Pokémon shot up into the sky to have their races.

Only after they disappeared, did Aizen look at the Queen of Rota Kingdom.

"Your Grace." He greeted her and lightly bowed, an etiquette which meant that they were equal, even though he was not a King yet.

A wry smile appeared on Ilene's face, but she did not mind his behaviour. It was already more than enough that he was showing her respect.

Cynthia, Riley, and Glacia greeted her next, but when it was Moonheart's turn, she was met with indifference.

"Queen."

Her bland and indifferent greeting, which lacked any form of respect, made Bill and Riley feel a little awkward, and even Ilene narrowed her eyes at her.

Aizen was an Orayen Prince, and his lack of respect towards her could be tolerated, but who was this girl?

"Sabrina Moonheart, Your Grace." Bill could see the displeasure on her face and immediately informed her who this raven-haired and pink-eyed girl was.

"Moonheart?" The blonde queen surprisedly looked at her but then winced as she recalled the history between their families.

Indeed, her blood did not deserve any respect from the Oak and Moonheart Clans.

It was her family who had betrayed their trust.

"I am sorry about the actions of my Ancestors, Lady Moonheart. If I could make things, right, I would. However, I am helpless and all I can ask for is not to hold a grudge against me for the sins of my ancestors, which make me feel ashamed every day of my life." Ilene very passionately voiced her words but only saw the girl nod in reply.

"I don't hold any grudge against you." She indifferently said, putting the Queen in an awkward position once again.

"It's just how she is. My Fiancee isn't a girl of too many words." Aizen chuckled and stepped in, and his words made something very clear to the Cameran Queen.

The Moonheart was not just a Moonheart. She was his future wife.

"I understand," The Queen smiled. "Please, come inside. We have prepared a feast for you."

All of them nodded to her and followed her inside the Palace, and as she had said, it was indeed a feast.

Neither Aizen nor Riley were reserved as they started eating, picking up things that they liked or wanted to taste.

"Miss Jenny," Azaerys called out to Ilene's maid, who was standing behind her, and the old woman immediately walked over to him.

"Yes, Your Highness?"

"Have you eaten?" He asked, smiling at her, and the woman nodded her head.

"We eat an hour before Queen," she informed him.

"Can you find someone for me? His name is Gary Oak, and he has come here to participate in the Annual Festival. Also, check if a boy named Ash Ketchum has arrived or not."

"Do I need to call the second boy?" She asked, and when he shook his head, she bowed and left to do the job.

"Oak?" The Queen curiously looked at him.

"Grandson of Samuel Oak."

"Oh..."

Aizen glanced at the Cameran Queen, and as the meal neared its end, he could tell that she was very nervous about something.

"I wish to speak with His Highness alone," said Ilene when Cynthia and Sabrina got up to follow them to the Royal study.

Sabrina did not think much of it. She was as indifferent as ever, but the Draegor Blood narrowed her eyes.

"Of course," smiled Cynthia before sharing a meaningful glance with her Fiance.

When the Orayen Prince entered the study, he frowned at the Queen, who locked the door after instructing the guards outside that they must not be disturbed.

She then walked over to the table, nearly brisking to it, took out something from the drawer and sat into her seat.

"Grandmother told me that you had something very important to talk to me about," said Aizen as he took his seat as well.

Without saying anything, she pushed an envelope to him which had the seals of both the Orayens and the Camerans.

The Prince curiously opened it and took out the contract that was inside it.

"I am aware of it. If things had turned out differently, you would have wed my uncle and been my aunt," he said to her but stopped when he turned the page and saw another paper, which detailed the relationship between the two families, and the favour that the Orayens owed to the Canerans.

In an instant, he understood her intentions and why his Grandmother had strictly asked him to not bring Anira here.

"I spoke to Queen Grisha, and she told me that the decision is entirely yours..." She nervously said. "I will turn thirty this year, Your Highness, and I am the last of my Blood, or what remains of it," She ruefully said. "I am sorry, but I am a Queen, and I must put the interests of my name before anything else."

"You loved my Uncle, Your Grace," he reminded her, frowning as he looked at the contract and the signs of the people from the Arcane Creed.

"Yes, I did. I still do, but Riven is dead and he will not come back to me." Her voice broke, and he saw how hard this was on her.

"Mime..." A small Mime Jr jumped up on her shoulder from under the table, and she picked it up and hugged it, planting a kiss on its head.

Aizen audibly sighed and then went through the letters and contracts again.

"I do not wish to force you, Your Highness, but I will if you are searching for a way out of this," said the Queen, not daring to meet his eyes, and he did not mind her words.

Aizen understood her circumstances. She also could not find anyone else. Doing it would waste all the efforts of her parents and grandparents, who had worked tirelessly to wash off the shame and to make sure that Cameran Blood would not disappear.

Aizen placed the contracts and letters back on the table and then looked at her. Even though he hated doing it, he took advantage of the fact that she was much weaker than him, and broke into her mind, reading her thoughts and intentions.

He quickly stopped doing it after he found his answers, and even though she glared at him for what he just did, he did not apologise.

"When do you want to hold the ceremony?" He asked, and her eyes softened.

"As soon as possible."

"Tonight then. It will be a private ceremony, and we already have witnesses from the Order here." He said to her, leaving her in shock, and then stood up to leave the room.

"Your Highness..."

"You can call me Aizen from now on, Ilene." He stopped at the door and said to her, and she lowered her head, not saying anything.

He waited for her to speak for a few seconds, but then unlocked the door and left the Royal Study.

Outside, he found Cynthia and Sabrina, leaning on the railing, and whilst the Moonheart was looking into the distance, the Draegor Blood was on a call.

He stopped his his tracks when he saw the glimpse of Anira on the holographic screen, and then sighed and came to stand behind the blonde.

Anira stared at him, not saying anything, and even though she was not there, he could sense that she was mad and already knew what was happening.

"Grandma called me earlier," she informed him.

"I see."

"You agreed?" She narrowed her eyes, and seeing him nod his head, even Cynthia frowned.

"When..." The blonde wanted to ask but was cut off.

"Let her Blood die. It does not concern us. It's the fault of her ancestors." The Princess irritatedly said, and he sighed because he knew she was just saying it in anger.

"A promise is a promise, Anira. I would have refused if there was someone..." he stopped as the images of his late family members flashed in his mind and lowered his head.

Everyone stayed silent, and a good minute passed like this.

Suddenly, they heard Leaf calling out to Anira from behind her, and the Princess' cold eyes turned soft.

"Don't be too cold to her."

It was all that his sister said before she ended the call, and a smile crossed his face.

He knew how kind she was, and he was relieved that she understood the situation.

"It's tonight." He told Cynthia, who was going to ask about the ceremony. "A private one."

"She couldn't wait?" She smirked.

"I set the date to not make things harder on her. It's better that I get this over with so that I can focus on why we came here."

His Fiancee sighed at his words and nodded her head.

"Well, Anira won. She got her wish. I am not the first one to marry you," She grinned, and he raised his head to meet her eyes.

"You are silly." He smiled before leaning in and planting a kiss on her forehead.
