Chapter 96 Karen's New Mission

While there was chaos in the Ranger HQ but Karen life seem to be fill with newspaper, milk and cows. And a good little handyman's name was famous in Veintown and nearby villages.

Ranger base

The door opened and a tired Karen walking in with Starly laying a nest on his head with his hair.

An alarm sounded, the operator on charge was shocked when he read the message screamed, "Barlow was captured!"

Karen heard this and asked in shock , "How, didn't Captain went to boyleland to check the volcanic erutowaĺn."

Before he could get an answer another alarm sounded the operator sat down with hand on his head.

He spoke weakly, "Puel town was attacked by Pokémon even the kind Starly were attacking."

Crawford who was in the base roared, "Karen go to Puel town I will go to find leader."

Karen nodded and rushed out.

Veintown

Karen ran all the way till the entrance of Vein forest.

He was about to slow down then remembered the common people in danger and again started to rush towards Puel town.

He didn't noticed that his physical fitness was increasing slowing as he rushed through the forest. Through the bushes, over the lakes avoiding wild Pokémon and falling many time Karen reached near Puel town.

The town was filled with cries and roars with flames, smoke, scratched place, huge rock and holes everywhere.

Many battle sounds were coming form the town hall.

Karen ordered Starly to keep flying Pokémon busy while he rushed in with his contract Pokémon into the town and started to subdue them one by.

In dilapidated house a little girl about four or five years old was hugged by an woman with a big injury on her back.

The girl spoke softly, " Mother will Trainers save us?"

The woman had a pale face sighed in her mind where can they be free they themselves are in danger. But she still spoke with a smile "Yes they are very strong and will soon take care of those wild pokemon."

Karen , "Staraptor keep him entangled." Then Karen started to focus and sling the top towards Growlite who was spewing flames everywhere the top emitted white light started to make circles around him under Karen's control.

Growlithe was annoyed by the little fly moving around and was about to swat it but a wind blade interrupted him. The top completed a circle and a message was passed into Growlithe's mind which made him stagnate and his eyes gained a little clarity.

Soon the top completed two more round s and the Pokémon clam down but when he looked around he seemed to have received some bad memories and ran away.

Karen counted "this twentieth one and there are many more I cannot complete this mission alone l" as he said this he sent the message to the Ranger Alliance.

On an unnamed island two people were treating a Seriously Injured person and two teenagers were standing little faraway chatting.

They were Ash and Serena who had rescued Sven form drowning.

Suddenly both of their watches rang.

"Emergency! Puel town was attacked by Pokémon and the local Ranger Base cannot support it alone All Rangers nearby Are requested to rush over as quickly as possible."

"Emergency!....."

"Emergency!....."

The message repeated three times.

Ash without any delay released Charizard and pulled Serena and rushed towards Puel town. Serena had already accompanied to his behavior and spoke to the watch "Ranger 346 and Operator 345 accepted the Task."

Puel town

A Houndour suddenly smelled the smell of blood and his eyes turned red and rushed towards the smell.

As he came near a broken house he howled

"Oouwwwwww"

The little girl in the room screamed in fear but her mother grabbed her mouth but it was late and the Pokémon targeting them had a keen sense of smell.

Karen who was nearby heard the scream and rushed towards the direction of sound.

The remaining door of the room was blasted out and a ferocious face came in the woman who saw closed her eyes in despair and spoke , "Caroline I will stop him you should run."

The said girl looked at her mother in tears and just as she was about to say something a flame enlarged in her eyes and she had something in it such as relief of making such decision and spoke, "No need."

Before the flamethrower reached them a voice came, "Buizel water gun."

A yellow Pokémon stood in front of them and released a water pillar from his mouth. Both attacks annihilated each other. Before Houndour made another move a top encircled him and made him stagnate untill he gain clarity and ran away.

Karen walked towards both of them and smiled, "It's okay he ran away."

The older woman opened her eyes and looked at the boy who had just turned 11 and smiled, "Thank you."

Before Karen could reply he heard a sweet voice, "Uncle, my mother is injured can you treat her?"

He saw a four year girl looking at him with big pleading eyes. But Karen had a black line on his forehead, "There are trainers in the Pokemon centre and Nurse Joy is also there but don't call me uncle."

Caroline blinked her eyes, "okay uncle."

Before he could complain he heard a loud roar that shook him to the ground and then a pressure came that made his injuries worse and he fell down.

Form the cornor of his eye he saw a huge Pokémon like a small hill the Quasi – Legendary Tyranitar.

His watch beep "Warning A tier Pokemon detected mission rating has changed. You have been requested to help citizens empty the city."

"...."

Karen first closed his eyes and spoke to himself is this my end. But after few seconds he stood up with determination and spoke to the two of them " go out of the city."

Then he spoke to his contracted B Tier Staraptor " Friend one last help"

Staraptor looked at the angry Tyranitar and then at Karen, she then screamed at him rushed towards Tyranitar and started to kite him with wing attack but they didn't even broke Tyranitar's defence but it annoyed him started to focus towards it.
