Last Resort, Shadow Punch
Pichu landed on the ground with a sickening crunch... The nurses sprung into action and carried the Pokemon away for treatment.
Red gritted his teeth and his crimson eyes glowed, his aura responding with his feelings as he unhooked another Pokeball from his Pokebelt and threw it up into the air, It clicked and revealed Red's next Pokemon... A Gastly.
Richard winced but nevertheless he would relentlessly attack with Pinsir.
"Alright, Horn Attack!" Richard ordered.
Pinsir raced forward, it's movements laced with exhaustion but nevertheless it's will carried it forward and it smashed into Gastly with it's horns... only for the attack to go through the Ghost Pokemon.
Gastly let out a menancing laughter as it's eyes glowed, shimmering in ghostly aura and two beams of ghostly energy smashed against Pinsir, sending the Pokemon flying backward at the intensity of the attack.
'Gastly had managed to reach LV. 18,' Red thought as he saw Pinsir on the ground, limp.
"Gastly and Red win the second round!" The trainer exclaimed, instilling suspense in the hearts of the crowd. The suspense was short-lived as Pinsir was carried away by the Nurses.
Richard threw a Pokeball into the air and revealed his next Pokemon... A Pidgeotto.
'LV. 19...' Red thought, 'Gastly's regular ghost attacks won't be able to hit... So we resort to the Ice attacks,'
"Pidgeotto, Whirl up a storm with Gust!" Richard ordered, pointing at Gastly.
Pidgeotto responded to it's trainers orders and flapped it's wings, letting out gusts of concentrated flying energy sending Red's hair flying backward.
"Shadow Sneak to evade!" Red called out.
Gastly sunk into the shadows that covered the field, evading the Gust.
Richard clicked his tongue.
"Gather your energy and Aerial Ace when it comes out!" Richard ordered.
Pidgeotto glowed in a thin blue aura, honing it's energy for the next attack it was going to dish out.
Gastly emerged from the shadows and it's eyes gained a brilliant blue glow. Shards of ice protruded from the Pokemon, heading to Pidgeotto at amazing speed.
"Now!" Richard ordered.
Pidgeotto tore through the air, turning to a blur that even Red couldn't see as the shards of ice were instantly cut up much to Red's surprise.
"Sha-"
Red couldn't finish his order and Pidgeotto attacked Gastly, sending the Pokemon flying and crashing against the ground, kicking up some dust in the process.
When the dust cleared, Gastly was nowhere to be found and instead a ghostly presence loomed over the head of Pidgeotto. Gastly's eyes glowed and then a chilling wind was unleashed, blowing against Pidgeotto.
Pidgeotto instantly froze up, it's figure fell from the air and collided with the ground... Pidgeotto's entire figure had stopped moving.
"Now attack, Don't give it time for recuperation!" Red voiced out, pointing his fist into the sky, "Let loose a powerful Ice shard attack!"
The glow in Gastly's eyes intensified as larger shards shot to Pidgeotto who lay motionless. They collided sending waves of frigid aura and dust all over the arena... The arena fell silent as everyone cursed the fact that there was intense dust.
"Pree!" Pidgeotto let out, a thick blue aura covering it's entire figure as Richard smiled, flicking his fingers.
"Brave Bird!" Richard ordered much to Red's surprise.
'Five good shards... had collided with Pidgeotto! It's supposed to be knocked out,' Red thought.
The blue aura shot forward, sending ripples through the air as Pidgeotto forcefully collided with Gastly... A strong wind vibrated through the entire arena pushing the earlier dust away.
Both Pokemon fell to the ground... But stood up shortly after, each of them unwilling to give up... For the sake of their trainers!
Gastly was the most battered of the two of them, and it's eyes closed suddenly... Red instinctively raised up the Pokeball to return Gastly but then...
Gastly remembered when it had been picked by Red... alone in the tower, The trainer had been drenched in snow, wearing a large black trench coat and sat by his Pokemon's side. They were laughing.
Ever since he joined Red's team... No, Family. He had never been left out, Red always focused on everyone equally... Trained everyone equally and even did training himself... No one wanted to be left behind... It was a contest of strength to become Red's ace and he didn't want to be the least powerful.
Ghostly energy wrapped around Gastly, sending a chill down Pidgeotto's spine.
He wanted to be... Red's ace!
Gastly's eyes opened and a menancing laughter left it's lips, Gastly shot forward instantly vanishing much to Pidgeotto's surprise.
"Pidgeotto, Before Gastly attacks, Strike with another Brave Bird!" Richard ordered.
Pidgeotto was alert but it's level of alertness was not enough... Gastly phased through it's defenses and appeared right in front of it, It's entire being exhibiting a ghostly energy and it's eyes... well they were glowing Crimson resonating with Red's eyes.
Red didn't know why but he knew the attack he called out... Gastly had not known it before.
"Shadow Punch!" Red ordered.
"Hurry Up and Gust!" Richard ordered.
The words of the trainers echoed in the air and then... Pidgeotto flapped it's wings and brought about powerful Gusts of wind with the aim of sending Gastly flying but the Ghost Pokemon... wasn't there.
Red energy trailed out of Gastly's eyes as it appeared behind of Pidgeotto, A powerful fist made of ghostly energy struck Pidgeotto in the face and into the ground...
There was a stillness in the air as Red and Richard waited... but the nurses rushed in and took hold of Pidgeotto, it's eyes swirling.
"A ghost type attack... knocked Pidgeotto out?" Richard mumbled although there was no question... It had happened.
"Gastly and Red win the second round!" The trainer called out, throwing both trainers out of their stupor.

Reincarnator Red is of course not going to lose his love for Pokemon as well as the former ideals of this Red when he comes because the memories of Red will combine with his soul...
