"Excuse me" Ryan said thinking he misheard Prof. Oak. "You heard me, the Professors want to make you an official Professor." said Prof. Oak. Ryan was there speechless. Prof. Oak chuckled and said "Usually trainers under the age of 25 cannot become a professor but I can pull some strings for you."

Ryan knew there were a lot of perks being a Professor but it also means being under constant watch of the Council. The Council will also want results and they will monitor where Professor will be going. Ryan was already a member of TR it will hinder his works a lot.

Ryan decided and told the Professor "Thanks for the offer professor but I can't accept it.". I knew you would say that that's why you are going to be the assistant professor for me" He declared. "What" was the reply from Ryan.

"I know you value your freedom, so you can be my assistant collecting information about pokemon while traveling." explained Prof. Oak. "So I will be a field researcher?" Ryan asked. "Yes" said Prof. Oak.

"I accept professor" said Ryan. "Ryan be careful you have achieved what no one has in decades. Some people can get greedy and try to kidnap you" said Prof. Oak seriously.

Ryan nodded and left the laboratory. He started to walk towards Viridian city. He saw the path only to see there were no wild pokemon. There were no Spearows or Pidgeys. Soon as he was nearing the city he heard a deafening cry.

He looked behind to see a Fearow. He checked it stats and saw it was a B rank pokemon. 'This must be the reason weaker pokemon are not there they must have fleed' thought Ryan. He cursed himself for not bringing any pokemon. Fortunately for him he has aura. He reinforced himself and attacked the bird.

The Fearow getting angry that a midget like Ryan is attaking him used Brave bird to attack him. Ryan who saw this concentrated aura on his hands and used psychic energy to slow the Fearow down.

As the bird came rushing at him he took hold of its wings. Thanks to aura he can smother the momentum and nullify the attack, but it still caused a backlash. He threw the bird away and used psychic energy to put it to sleep.

Ryan started to cough blood. 'Damn, that attack before caused a severe backlash' thought Ryan. He picked up a pokeball which he had in his bag and caught the Fearow. Now he has another pokemon to sell.

Ryan reached his house in 10 minutes and went straight to bed. The pokemon saw how exhausted he was and left him to get some rest.

The next day he switched on his television as he drank some tea. What he saw made him spit his tea out. It seems like the professors had published the theories immediately with his name. Thank Arceus they didn't publish the Mega evolution theory.

The news of Ryan being the assistant of Prof. Oak also spread like a wildfire. They all tried to find who Ryan Mortimer was but couldn't find a single thing except the lineage died a few decades ago.

The Media who were hounds also couldn't find anything about Ryan, but soon enough they made connected the dots and found who Ryan Mortimer was. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't enter the house due to it being away from Viridian City, and they were afraid of wild pokemons.

Meanwhile in Team Rocket Headquarters, Giovanni's Room:

"Who is this Ryan Mortimer?" asked Giovanni to his assistant. When the assistant said he was an Team Rocket Captain he was shocked.

"He is in our organization? Good. Who was in charge of him" He asked.

"Lillian!, She got applied for promotion recently didn't she? It seems like she deserves it. She raised a good seed." Giovanni said. "But. . Why didn't she tell me?, Call Lillian" He said.

Lillian came immediately "Did you call me Sir" she asked. "Yes, You know about Ryan Mortimer right?" He asked scanning her reactions.

"Yes Sir, he is a good seed. Why are you asking?" she asked keeping her tone respectful.

"He is now an underage Professor. He also has been nicknamed 'Little Professor'. Why didn't you tell me about him" He asked.

"With all due respect Sir, he wanted to prove himself. I also wanted you to see what he was capable of with your own eyes Sir" Lillian said.

Giovanni stroked his Persian's head and told "You have done well, I'll send you your rewards later, also your promotion is solidified".

"Thank you Sir" she said. 'Ryan you really are my lucky star, you have got me a promotion!' thought Lillian as Inner Lillian started boxing the air yelling 'cha' like certain Haruno.

"You are dismissed" Giovanni said.

"Yes sir" Lillian said as she left the office.

'Ryan Mortimer, His last name means death. He certainly is an interesting one' thought Giovanni.
