Ryan had finally tamed Zubat. Now Zubat sees him as an Alpha, an Leader, a Trainer who will make him the strongest. Ryan decided to buy the TM Protest again because the previous one got destroyed. He also bought Energy powder and Blood Packets to feed Zubat. Energy powder helps to erase the fatigue of the pokemon he trains. Since Zubat is the lowest he has to train him mainly.

Pikachu who is Lv.30 had been told to take it easy for now. Dreepy continued his routine to reach Pikachu's level. Ryan took Zubat's training in his hands because he has to know which training for him. The move mastery which is divided into 4 parts is also important. The move mastery helps the pokemon very much.

Beginner: The pokemon attacks normally

Intermediate: The pokemon starts to prepare the move faster, and can use it when moving. Shadow ball while moving

Excellent: The pokemons attack is stronger and faster it can not only move while attacking it can also use another attack with it. Its aim also improves. Eg. Agility and Swift

Outstanding: The aim becomes precise. The pokemons attack power and preparing speed is very high it can now combine its move with others to use a combo move like Flamethrower and aircutter. The Aircutter enhances Flamethrower and the Flamethrower will also gain some more momentum and projectiles in it.

[+]: It breaks the limit and enhances all the aspects like damage, aim, status condition, critical attack, knock back etc.

"Zubat you are a poison type so naturally poison type is easiest to train but we are not going to train poison type moves but train a ghost type move to counter Psychic moves. You are going to create a Shadow ball." said Ryan. "But how" Zubat asked.

"You are going to gather your ghost type energy in one place and expand it to a size of a ball. You already have ghost type move Curse feel that energy and draw it out for shadow ball". Zubat was able to draw out its Ghost type energy but shaping it was difficult for him. After an hour he fell exhausted. Soon Ryan asked him to try and draw different type of energy.

Soon Zubat after a week was freely able to draw the energies connected to him. These were Flying, Poison, Ghost, Psychic, Steel, Fire, Ice, Electric, Normal. The next day he easily created a shadow ball. Ryan then asked him to use Shadow Ball 30 times a day.

Now that Zubats training is going well, there are some questions. How to improve a pokemon's combat prowess. These were not needed for Pikachu because not only did he have a Unique talent, He was also Zekrom's Legacy. As for Dreepy he is a pseudo legendary and has Legend talent. Zubat only has Unique talent. So techniques which need to enhance combat prowess is very much needed.

So either Zubat needs to fight other pokemon which is effective but risky because something like Beedrill incident may happen again or we can train Zubats on move mastery and physical fitness which is safer but less effective than actual combat. Ryan decided that he'll do actuall fight as Lv.30 Pikachu and Lv.25 Dreepy on his side. He dicided to use analysis one last time before going.

Ryan was satisfied and went towards the Viridian forest with Zubat for training. As Ryan was going towards the forest, the person he wants to sees the least appears before him. "Oi Ryan!" said the voice of Lucien. "It has been a long time!" Lucien said. "You want a battle" deadpanned Ryan. "You know me so well." Lucien said. Ryan knew he has to agree or else Lucien would be annoying to no end.

"Go, Scyther!"

"Terrorize your enemies Dreepy" said Ryan.

"Wait you got a Dreepy?!" asked Lucien. "Yes" Ryan replied crisply. "I have been looking for one since ages! and I couldn't get one" he exclaimed.

"I hatched it from a random Egg. The Dragapult line are Pseudo Legendries, also they are native to Galar." Ryan said. Ryan lied about the hatching part because morons like Lucien will while away their time trying to find an Egg and hatch it hoping for the pokemon they want.

"Anyway let's get started, I have to train my pokemons" Ryan said. "Okay then, lets get started with this." Said Lucien.

"Scyther use Night Slash" said Lucien. "Dodge and disable" said Ryan. Scyther rushed at Dreepy preparing his move, due his move mastery. Dreepy dodged the attack and disables Scyther's night slash using his move.

"Shit, Scyther only has Night slash as his Dark type move which is super effective against dreepy" mumbled Lucien. "Dreepy use Shadow Ball" commanded Ryan as he sent a gesture through his eye. Dreepy who saw this immediately knew what to do. "Scyther nullify it with X- Scissor" shouted Lucien.

Unfortunately for them Dreepy already started to prepare another move. The gesture that Ryan gave, meant using a super effective move after he used the move Ryan commanded. Shadow ball was nullified but the force behind it made Scyther stumble. Soon Dreepy used Ancient Power against the dazed Scyther.

"Scyther Dodge it" shouted Lucien. Scyther who didn't know what his trainer was talking about got hit with Ancient Power. "Scyther are you okay?" Lucien asked worried. Ryan was staring impassively but inside he was worried for Scyther, he only trusted pokemon after all.

Scyther was covered with gashes and cuts. Its wings were also hurt. "I withdraw" said Lucien seeing that anymore battling may cripple Scyther. Ryan gave Lucien an Hyper potion to heal his Scyther. He didn't want Scyther to be wounded by his actions. "It was a good battle, I never knew you used strategies like that." Lucien said.

Ryan just nodded. Lucien said "Next time I'll win". Ryan just shrugged his shoulders as Lucien returned Scyther. "See you later Ryan" Lucien said as he left to PokeCenter to have his Scyther checked.

Ryan returned Dreepy and called out Zubat. "Zubat its time for real life training, are you ready?" asked Ryan as they reached the Outskirts of Viridian forest. Zubat gave a gesture that said 'Yes sir'.
