Jhoto - Mt Silver

Ash stared at the line up, 'Pretty sure I battled Gary next, not Korrina. I didn't even know she was taking part in Jhoto.'

Lucario, -Meema, she's heading this way.-

Korrina stopped in front of Ash, "Hi there, I am Korrina from Kalos."

Ash shook her hand, "Ash Ketchum from Kanto. We are up next. Your Lucario is very handsome."

Korrina puffed up, "Thank you, your Lucario is really good looking too. I am very excited to battle another Lucario trainer."

Ash smirked, "Expect a tough battle."

Korrina returned the grin, "You are on."

Lucario nodded at his fellow Pokemon who nodded back with respect and the two turned to their trainers who were now talking about different ways to keep their Lucario's fur clean and healthy. The two Aura using Pokemon had to remind them about their upcoming battle getting sheepish looks from both humans as they headed to their sides on the battlefield. Their interactions had been seen on the screen and the audience found it sweet especially how passionate they were about their Pokemon. The referee explained the rules as normal and then called for the first Pokemon to be picked.

Korrina, "Let's go Frillish."

Ash, "You are up first Noctowl."

Referee, "Begin!"

Ash, "Air slash!"

Korrina, "Shadow ball."

Noctowl threw air slash at Frillish who attacked using shadow ball which was slashed by the air slash. Of course both Pokemon did not stop there and moved around the field attacking the other while using the environment to take cover. They were in a grass and water field and while Frillish used the water Noctowl used the trees to take refuge from the attacks.

Ash, "Moon blast."

Korrina, "Use whirl pool Frillish."

The attacks became more intense with the flying type and the ghost water type trying to out do each other in precision, strength and stamina. Misty was honestly impressed by the water ghost and made a mental note to try and get one in the future, at the moment she had her hands full. Noctowl changed her attacks between air slash and moon blast while Frillish changed between shadow ball and whirl pool. Ash watched as another whirl pool was created and sent Noctowl's way and he got an idea.

Ash, "Aerial ace."

Korrina, "Be careful Frillish."

Noctowl used aerial ace to avoid the whirl pool and used aura slash on Frillish, "Oooo."

Korrina, "Frillish, are you alright?"

Frillish nodded, "Ish."

Korrina, "Let's end this now. Hydro pump."

Ash, "Noctowl hurricane."

Noctowl screeched as she flipped her wings hard creating a powerful hurricane to counter the hydro pump. Frillish shot a strong hydro pump at Noctowl but the clever bird's eyes were glowing with psychic powers as she manipulated both the wind and water. Noctowl returned the attack at Frillish catching her in a strong tornado and throwing the water type hard towards the battlefield. Frillish did not get up from where she landed and the referee started a count down for the water type.

Korrina, "Frillish! Wake up! Come on baby girl."

Referee, "Frillish is unable to battle. The first round goes to red box. Choose your next Pokemon."

Ash, "Great job Noctowl."

Noctowl flew to sit next to Ash and started to clean his hair, "Oooo."

Ash chuckled, "Thanks sweetheart. Never change."

Korrina, "Thank you for the great battle Frillish. I really appreciate the hard work. Get some rest. Now, let's go Torkoal."

Ash, "Rest for now, I choose Gengar."

Referee, "Begin!"

Ash, "Shadow punch."

Korrina, "Iron defense, quick."

Torkoal used iron defense just in time as Gengar used shadow punch on him that was reflected back by the iron defense. Well, it was mostly defected Torkoal still winced and stepped back from the ghost type attack before shaking his head and standing proudly.

Korrina, "Use Inferno."

Ash, "Rain dance."

Torkoal powered up and used inferno while Gengar used rain dance to dodge the fire type attack. Gengar laughed as he danced and dodged the multiple inferno attacks that was thrown at him. Torkoal huffed at the happy go lucky ghost who grinned at him then started to throw shadow punches at him that Torkoal deflected using iron defense. Korrina cheered Torkoal on and the fire type became more excited despite the rain falling on him and turning into vapour thanks to the intended heat of the inferno.

Serena waved her hand, "Why is it that everytime a fire Pokemon appears the heat goes up quiet literally?"

Max was drinking an iced drink, "No clue but I can't wait for both my Houndour and Charmendar to grow up. We are going to have heated battles too."

Houndour barked, "Ooour!"

Charlene clapped, "Char charmendar."

Misty, "No kidding!"

Melody, "Still it is crazy how the heat goes up."

Chloe, "Right? I wonder if my Flareon will be able to change the temperature too."

Max, "How is Flareon doing? You mentioned she is a rescue."

Chloe, "She is doing alright I guess I can say with confidence. She still flinches at loud noises but she is not so scared anymore. I think being with Eevee helps her out."

Ash, "Gengar curse."

Gengar laughed, "Gengar geng geng gar gengar. Geng geng gengar."

Torkoal gaped, "Torkoal!!!!"

Lucario face palmed, -Gengar, curse, attack move curse. Not curse him out.-

Ash deadpanned, "Seriously?"

Gengar eye smiled, "Geng geng geng."

Korrina, "Did Gengar use curse words?"

Lucario, -Yes, he did, no you will never learn them.-

Korrina's Lucario nodded, "Rio."

Korrina, "Awww! I want to know."

Gou was laughing till he wheezed, "I am not surprised at all."

Lance chuckled behind his hand as he watched the battle resume, "I am guessing Gengar is older than everyone in the group."

Gou nodded, "We suspect it yes. Gengar is surprisingly very insightful and I noticed how he helps Ash around too."

Lance, "I see, I did a little background check on his ex trainer."

Gou, "What did you learn?"

Lance, "I feel like Ash already knows about this considering how close he tends to get to every Pokemon."

Gou, "It is one rule he follows I think it is instinct at this point."

Lance, "Ah! Gary is starting his own match soon."

Gou, "You have been interested in Gary too."

Lance, "He is one of the few kids very close to Ash. Not to forget his development and growth has been one of the biggest source of promise. He already submitted his paper on Haxorus, Dragonite and Kingdra lines and has achieved the title of Dragon Master, the youngest from Kanto."

Gou choked, "What? Are you serious?"

Lance, "Yes, don't tell anyone though. To be a Master at a young age means you become a possible target."

Gou, "I understand though Gary might have already told Ash about it. I saw them talking last night. They looked very serious."

Lance, "Hmm... I think you may be right."

Gou, "You were saying something about Gengar's ex?"

Lance, "From the records we found, that fool got Gengar from another trainer who passed away."

Gou, "What? You can't be serious! That does explain the calm disposition and power Gengar has. Just look at him, especially how he moves."

Lance eyes the battle, "Indeed, he dodges the attacks with a confidence of a veteran, doesn't he? Ash has a free style type of battle that allow his Pokemon to make their own moves. Gengar has proven himself under his command."

Gou, "Gengar's ex - trainer was an idiot. I am happy he no longer has a training liscence, he would just hold the Pokemon back."

Lance, "Indeed!"

Ash, "Hypnosis!"

Gengar, "Gar!"

Korrina, "Torkoal snap out of it."

Torkoal shook his head, "Koal!"

Korrina, "Time to take him down, fire blast."

Ash, "Okay Gengar full power phantom force."

Torkoal and Gengar both smirked and focused on sending all of their power into the final attack and released it. The phantom force and fire blast were pretty large as the two attacks collided creating a large explosion. Lance was on the intercom giving orders to the psychic and security team to strengthen the shields around the battle ground especially by the audience. Both Lucarios stood in front of their trainers creating shields to protect them from the incoming explosion. When the dust settles both Pokemon were out cold on the ground and not getting up despite the countdown.

Referee, "Both Pokemon are unable to battle. The blue box is leading with one victory. Choose your next Pokemon."

Korrina, "Return Torkoal, thank you for the cool battle. You were awesome."

Ash, "Thank you for the battle Gengar. You were really awesome today. The phantom force was really powerful."

Lucario, -His ex - trainer was such a fool.-

Ash, "Indeed. Ah well! One man's loss is another man's treasure."

Ash, "Okay then time for the third battle."

Korrina, "I choose Scizor."

Ash, "Let's go Heracross."

Referee, "Begin!"

Korrina, "Air slash."

Ash, "Fury attack."

The two bug Pokemon moved as their attacks looked like a dance between two bug type Pokemon. Scizor used air slash to attack and dodge the attack coming from his opponent who was dodging his attacks. It was a battle of flying, strength against speed which was fett everyone on the edge after the previous battle. Ash then called for swird dance while Korrina called for metal claw which was followed by loud clangs. The two Pokemon were not giving up and living up to their stubborn nature as they fought each other.

Ash, "Aerial ace."

Korrina, "X - scissor."

Misty shivered, "They are really going at it."

Chloe, "You good there Misty?"

Misty, "I am fine, don't worry about me, besides my Araquanid would not let me be scared of bug Pokemon. She would be worried about me and it should be the other way around."

Melody, "I agree! As trainers we should worry about the Pokemon instead of the other way around."

Misty, "That is an understatement."

Serena chuckled, "Still can't get over the scolding Araquanid gave you?"

Misty laughed nervously, "Well, I.. You know?"

Melody pat her head, "You know she means well right? You are basically her Meema after all."

Misty "I know."

Chloe, "Honestly you did scare all of us when you went after the poachers back then."

Korrina, "Now, fury cutter."

Ash, "Horn attack."

The two Pokemon attacked a final time and this time the two stood waiting after the attacks clashed. After a few seconds Heracross fell and the referee announced Scizor as the winner and then, Scizor fell asleep well. The referee had to announce both Pokemon unable to battle and then announced the change of battlefield to a different theme. Ash and Korrina returned their Pokemon thanking them for the battle and the referee announced the blue box as the leading side. Korrina was fired up however and willing to do everything to win and do her best, she had not felt this heated for a battle in a while.

Lucario, -Meema, while the field is changing we should go grab a drink.-

Ash, "Now that you mention it, I could use a drink. I feel quiet thirsty."

Lucario nodded grabbing the bag, -Good, Brock made sure to pack a few snacks and drinks for us. It will help us tide over the few minutes of waiting as the field changes.-

Ash, "Of course! You planned for it all didn't you?"

Lucario smirked at him, -I did learn from the best that there is no such thing as over preparation.-

Korrina watched their interactions and turned to her Lucario with starry eyes, "Luc, why aren't we like that?"

Lucario sent a message using aura, -Ash is his Meema. Of course he will treat him differently. You are my trainer, there is a big difference between us.-

Korrina pouted then smiled, "You are right Luc, we are different from them, we had our own adventures and challenges just like they had their own challenges."

Lucario nodded, "Rio, lucario."

Korrina, "Don't worry Luc, we will get aura speech down as soon as possible. I believe in you."

Lucario simply smiled, 'And I believe in you partner.'
