"Quickly extinguish the fire!"
It's been 30 minutes since Tobi kidnapped the young Scyther.
The alliance was notified by the sudden spread of fire as they quickly sent some ambulances.
"Quick! Quick!" A muscular man with a fireman outfit waved his hand and commanded everyone what to do.
He took a Pokeball from his waist and releases a blue turtle Pokemon with two cannons in its back.
"Blastoise use Hydro Pump!" He ordered Blastoise who quickly perform his job.
You could see that this Blastoise and the Muscular man have high experience in this field, they didn't panic and were calmly helping others with a straight face.
The other fireman and all of those that have water-type Pokemon present today also release their pokemons.
Dozens or more water Pokemon were united as they tried to extinguish the fire but it wasn't simple.
The fire has already spread, swallowing 5% of the whole Viridian Forest.
Viridian forest was extremely vast and 5% of it being burned would be a disastrous tragedy, especially for the Pokemon living there.
"Call for more backup! we can't do it with just all of us!" The muscular man said to the man behind him.
"Yes, captain Johnny!" You could see the respect for the muscular man in his eyes.
He saluted and took out a communicator in his pocket and dial the fire station's number.
*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*
"Hello this is the Pewter City fire station, how may I help you?" A female voice said from the other line of the phone.
"Hello this is lieutenant Darwin speaking, I was instructed by Captain Johnny to ask for backup!"
You could hear in his voice the urgency he was feeling as he states in a single breath.
"..."
The female on the other line didn't reply, greatly raising his urgency more.
He stood there, staring at his communicator wishing that someone else would reply quickly.
He look around him and saw all of his colleagues having a hard extinguishing the never-ending fire.
He knew something must be done or else their Pokemon would just tire themselves.
"...hello is anyone still there?" A crude woman's voice speaks coming from the communicator.
"Yes! yes! im still here!" A fire of hope lit in Darwin's eyes as he quickly answered the woman's question.
|Flashback: 10 minutes ago|
Cherry was just minding her own business when suddenly a phone call from another station called her.
Cherry was shocked to hear that the Viridian forest was on fire and needed backup from other cities.
It was no secret how much the alliance cared for that forest and the fire happening is a serious case and also strange.
There are no fire pokemon living inside the forest for the very same reason so it's weird a fire breaking out in the forest.
Cherry no longer think about it, she knew how serious the problem was and run to the person responsible for the fire station.
Captain Zelta, the only female firefighter to ever reach the captain rank, was also looked up to by girls who dreamed to be just like her like cherry.
*knock* *knock* *knock*
"Who's there?" A crude woman voice said coming from the inside of the room.
"It's cherry boss, we receive a call from the Viridian City fire station, they are calling for backup."
"Come in" The woman inside said to cherry.
Cherry went inside after getting her boss's permission as she saw her boss sitting in her chair with a stack of paper on the table.
"What happens? why the Viridian forest is asking for help?" Zelta asks with a serious face staring at cherry.
Seeing her idol look at her with a serious voice, a cold sweat escapes from her forehead as she explains everything she knew.
From Darwin calling her to the fire in Viridian forest.
"WHAT! The Viridian forest is on fire?!" Zelta's eyes widen as she slams her fist on the table.
"Where are the phone??!" Zelta asks in a hurry, understanding the importance of this matter.
"Here." Cherry passes the phone in her hand to Zelta.
"...hello is anyone still there?"
|Present|
"Good, just hang in there, we're coming over." The crude woman voice assures Darwin then hangs up the phone.
The fire of hope in Darwin's eyes shone brighter as he look toward his fellow firefighter and said;
"Everyone back up is coming!!" He shouted to his tired colleagues.
"OHHH!!!" after hearing Darwin, all of them shouted in joy.
They weren't newbies to not notice that they had no chance of extinguishing the fire and the more tiring they get, the more hope in their heart extinguished.
"Let's show to this fire who's the boss!!" Johnny was also ecstatic hearing what Darwin said as he feel an unknown power to fight back.
"YEAH!!!" All of his subordinates did their battle cries as they continue extinguishing the fire in the forest until they couldn't move anymore.
They manage to extinguish about 60% of the fire before tiring themselves but fortunately, Zelta and her group arrive in a nick of time.
Zelta and her team slowly but surely extinguished the fire.
"Thank you for backing up," Johnny states to Zelta while laying down on the floor due to tiredness.
"It's nothing," Zelta said calmly while looking at Johnny with respect.
Not just to Johnny but all of his subordinates, people who would be willing to die just to stop the fire from spreading.
"Well leaving then, we still have a lot of things to do." Zelta excuse herself as they left the place and went back to their station.
Johnny and his subordinates were the only ones left in the forest but soon, a bunch of police led by Officer Jenny arrived.
"Do you guys get any information or evidence of what caused the fire?" Officer Jenny asks in a serious voice to Johnny.
Johnny shook his head in denial while releasing a bitter smile to Officer Jenny.
"Ok" Officer Jenny simply stated and turn around, facing her subordinates.
"Attention!" She shouted as her subordinates line themselves while saluting respectfully to their boss.
"Search the whole forest! No one leaves until we caught the culprit that caused this fire!!" Officer Jenny ordered with an authoritative voice.
Her subordinate gave a final salute and head out on their way, finding any evidence they could find to please their boss.
'What a pain in the ass' Officer Jenny thought remembering how Beedrill massacre happened just a few days ago.
'If I don't catch the culprit, I'll be the one who gets in trouble' Officer Jenny's eyes turned fierce when she thinks about it.
Her subordinates were terrified and hurriedly continue searching.
