226. Spy

Following Mr. Kennedy to the Devin Corporation Headquarters, Ash noticed Officer Jenny at a first sight. She was explaining something to the young lady at the front desk.

"Officer Jenny!" Ash showed his high level Investigator Badge, "I am Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town and a member of the International G-Men. What happened here?"

Officer Jenny quickly saluted to Ash, "Here's the thing, I got information that someone was targeting Devon Corporation, so I came here to inform them that I too would join the search and also ask them to strengthen their security system!"

Ash nodded understandably. Although it was not a direct Pokémon incident, after experiencing the battle in the Alto Mare and other places, Ash still kept things like this in his mind.

"This is my Big Bro Ash, and over there is my sister, May. And that there is Brock, all of our Big Brother!" Max introduced teh group to President Stone.

"Ash, I have admired your name for some time now. Thanks to you, we were able to catch this person in no time." President Stone happily greeted Ash like this.

"President Stine, there's no need to say that."

The suspicious person was almost knocked unconscious by just a single punch. After everyone had finished saying their greetings, the suspicious man woke up and threw out a Poké Ball, "Come out, Crawdaunt!"

A big red lobster with a five-pointed star on its head appeared infront of them.

This kind of giant lobster is very bellicose and likes to stir up disputes, and will throw out all the Pokémon out of its territory.

Knowing who normally uses Crawdaunts as their main Pokémon's from his G-Men database, Ash understood that he was from the evil team called Team Aqua.

Based on the intelligence collected by Team Rocket before, combined with Ash's memory and using his current status, the two opposing mysterious organizations in the Hoenn Region, Team Aqua and Team Magam.

The minions of the Team Magma mostly use the Fire-type and Dark-type Houndoom, as well as some other common Dark-types like Mightyena, etc., which he had seen them use before. There are also some members who use Numels and Camerupt.

While the grunts form Team Aqua use mostly the Water-type and Dark-type Crawdaunt and Carvanha, etc.

This should be a mission assigned by his organization.

"Interesting." Ash would never back down when faced with a Pokémon battle and when he can also train his Pokémon's on real battles with consequences, "Stand by for battle, Treecko!"

Treecko, a Grass-type Pokémon, has a big advantage over Crawdaunt, a Water and Dark-type Pokémon.

And Ash's Treecko has improved very quickly recently under his strict but careful training.

This attack is something Ash is very familiar with. It is exactly the main attack he is training his Kingler in, "Use Quick Attack to avoid the blow!"

Treecko's speed became even more faster than his initial speed, his whole body turned into a green afterimage, avoiding this powerful attack, "Use Absorb again!"

After two of Treeckos Absorb, the much stronger Crawdaunt finally lost some of his health.

Before Treecko's Grass-type skills are enriched, his Absorb skill will obviously become one of his strongest moves.

"Damn it, Crawdaunt, use Bubble Beam!"

Seeing that he couldn't catch up with Treecko's movements, the man decisively used a fast Special Attack. A large number of thick bubbles shot out from Crawdaunt's pair of giant lobster claws, but how much damage could a Water-type attack do to Treecko who could avoid most, if not all, damages.

"Quickly avoid it!"

Despite this order, Treecko was still hit after persisting for a while. This Crawdaunt has level suppression on Treecko and is quite well-trained.

"Quick Attack to move then use Absorb!"

However, Ash didn't seem to care about this at all. He saw green light flowing to Treecko again from Crawdaunts body, and he immediately recovered from most of the damage caused by the previous Bubble Beam just now.

At this moment, Crawdaunt was finally weakened to a level where Treecko can fight on a more aggressive way.

"Damn it!"

The man decisively took back his Crawdaunt.

Taking advantage of the last Bubble Beam, he had already taken out the a flying device from his box on the side and equipped it.

Obviously, he had prepared it and put it here early in the morning to make a quick escape.

The route to the rooftop had already been long planned by him and his organization.

But will Ash really let him get away with his wish?

There was a flash of pink light in his eyes and hand, and the flying device was crushed by Ash's Psychic Force. He could only fall from the air and hang just outside of the rooftop!

This is the tallest building in the entire Rustboro City!

But even so, the man still didn't look like he was panicking for help. He threw the two stolen culture bottles towards Ash. Of course, Ash had to rush to use his Psychic to catch them.

The man took this opportunity to jump off the building, landed in through the window downstairs, and quickly escaped smoothly.
