Chapter 1

- MC POV.

I felt groggy and just wanted to keep sleeping. What senses that was active at that moment registered sensations that shouldnt be there when sleeping in my bed. The air was clean, and I could feel a breeze passing by. What I slept on that normally was a normal mattress now felt like grass.

`Am I outside? How? I am sure that I fell asleep in my bed last night.´

Those were the thoughts that I had at that moment. I slowly opened my eyes, only to have to shut them again as the light was too bright. I spent a few moments before I managed to fully open them. I was met with a clear sky with no clouds in sight. I sat up to get a more clear view of my surroundings.

I was laying on a hill with a single tree on the top overlooking a valley. The valley was covered in grass that swayed in the gentle breeze, showing how healthy the earth was in the area.

"Wow..... where am I?" I commented and looked around a bit more frantically, attempting to see where I was or if I could recognize the area. I didnt find anything remotely familiar about the scenery and started to panic a bit until I heard a voice in my head.

"Welcome Rin, to the world of pokemon. You have been transported to this world after dying in your sleep."

"Wait... what!?"

"Indeed, you died. But dont worry. Us, the beings that oversee the multiverse, have seen your love for this world and have come to the agreement to send you here. Since you didnt originate from this world though, we had to change your appearence. Please have a look."

In front of me, a mirror appeared. What greeted me wasnt the face that I had grown up with, but an unfamiliar girl that looked to be around fourteen or fifteen. The girl had blue-green eyes and short yellow hair, with hairclips on her bangs, and white headphones with a bow on the handle.

Her outfit resembles a school uniform where she wears a white sleeveless top with a black collar with a yellow stripe, a yellow bow, and short black shorts with a yellow and orange triangle patterned belt. She also wears black sleeves and legwarmers with yellow edges and designed to mimic speakers, and white boots with yellow soles.

"Wow... whats this?"

"That, my dear Rin, is the appearence of a fictional character called Kagamine Rin. Thought it would be funny since your name is also Rin." The voice chuckled.

"So what now?" I asked.

"Well, since you are currently located in the pokemon world, the overseers chose to randomly generate three pokemon for you to start off with. You will find their pokeballs attached to your belt. Next to you, a bag will appear when we are done with the introduction, that contain some starter items."

"Quick questio."

"Yes?"

"You said I am in the pokemon world, but you never said where in the world I am. Or even when in the timeline I am."

"Ah, right. you are currently located in Kanto. You are near the viridian forest. As for the timeline, you are currentlyhalf a year before Ash starts his journey."

"Ah, got it. Just real quick again, sorry. Why arent I freaking out more than this? I was just told I died."

"Again, our doing. Better give you a peaceful start than throw you into a fit."

"Thanks."

"No problem. Now back to the topic. There aresome changes to this world too. One of them being that pokemon you usually needed to trade to evolve now just need a large amount of friendship."

"Thats helpful."

"Yup. Now, thats all I had to say for now. This will also most likely be our only contact with you. And dont worry about the name registry of this world. We have already created a file for you."

"Thanks."

"No problem. Now go on and have a great life, its gonna be long after all. People here live much longer than in your old world. Chiao."

"Wait what do you mean by tha- aaaand hes gone....." I sighed in defeat.

I stood there for a while, digesting the information that he gave me. I died, woke up in one of my favorite fictional worlds, got a starter pack and is now gonna live the life of my dreams. Yup, I am officially the luckiest bitch around.

I decided to start with checking my new bag. It was a simple white dufflebag with yellow lining. Opening it, I found several items such as pokeballs, a pokedex and a couple of stones. I had to doubletake seeing the stones. They were mega stones, and a keystone too!? I grabbed the keystone and connected it with my headphones on the right side. I also looked at the other stones in my bag and saw that they had been labeled.

"Well, thats handy." I commented.

Having looked at the bag, I decided to meet my new partners. He said that I had three pokemon that were randomly chosen. I grabbed the three pokeballs from my belt and tossed them out.

First came a light brown pokemon with a darker brown muzzle, paws, and ear tips. It has large blue eyes, button ears, a short muzzle with a triangular pink nose, and a short tuft of fur on each cheek. Around its neck is a ruff of grayish-white fur stubbed with dark brown pebbles. The dark brown markings on its paws extend to a thin point on each wrist and ankle. It has a grayish-white tail that curls tightly over its back and is covered in fluffy fur.

"Rufff!" It cried out.

Next came a pokemon that resembled an oversized, pale purple scorpion. Its claws and tail have been swapped, giving it two stingers and a claw tail. The miniature jaws, claws, and tail claws are white. Its arms are attached directly to its head, close to its teal eyes. A pointed marking joins its eyes. The head, arms, two tail segments, and all four legs are light blue, while the body, tail end, and other two tail segments are a darker shade of blue.

"Skorrr!"

And finally came a small, quadrupedal Pokémon similar to a dinosaur. The lower half of its body is black, while the upper half is light gray. It has a beak-like snout with a small, tooth-like spike in each corner of its lower jaw and big, red eyes. On the front of its head is a large, heart-shaped yellow scale. A small tuft similar to ears or small feathers extends from the back of its head on either side, and there is another small, white tuft on its chest. Six teardrop-shaped, loose-hanging scales form a half ring around its shoulders. These scales are gray with pale yellow along the outside edge. A solid yellow scale of the same shape is on the tip of its tail. Each of its feet has three yellow claws.

"Jang jang!"

They were the three pokemon Rockruff, skorupi and jangmo-o.

I crouched in front of the three pokemon which caused them to look at me.

"Heya you three. Im Rin, and Im your new trainer. I hope we get along." I gave them a smile. They looked at me, then eachother before they jumped on top of me, causing me to fall backwards. They rubbed their faces with mine while we laughed. It seems like we already have a good bond.

"Okay you guys." I said as we all finally calmed down.

"I plan on becoming the best trainer possible. Would you mind helping me while we all get stronger together?"

I asked them, and they all cried out as if to say "Bring it on".

"Then, welcome to my little family."

We spent some time playing around. Both so that we could bond, but also so that I had a chance to digest the situation that I found myself in. When we finally finished playing, the time had already passed into even. We ended up camping on that hill that I woke up on.

The next day I decided that I should start their training. We needed to train hard if we wanted to be the best. It also helped a lot to know that I had half a years headstart on the main character Ash. So after waking up and eating a good breakfast, I stood in front of my three partners.

"Alright guys. We have some time that we should use on training. So first off, Jangmo-o." I started. The dragon pokemon looked at me expectantly.

"I have two jobs for you. First is that you are primarily a physical attacker. That means that we need to work on your physical strength."

"Jaaang!" It seemed to accept my words.

"Next is that I want you to gain better control of your internal energy. That means that each day after your physical workout, your gonna meditate and start manipulation your energy. Understood?" I explained and waited for his acknowledgement, which quickly came. I nodded and moved on to the next pokemon.

"Good. Now then, skorupi." I said, and the scorpion pokemon shot to attention.

"You have a high base defense and speed, but offensively, you are also primarily a physical attacker. I want you to work more on your speed though. It wouldnt do if you can shoot a powerful attack, but is to slow to hit the opponent." The pokemon nodded.

"Like jangmo-o, your going to work on your energy after each workout. Got it?"

"Skrrrr!" He nodded with fire in his eyes. I just nodded in satisfaction. Finally I turned to the rocky puppy as I started to call rockruff. Well to myself that is.

"Now lastly is you. You have high speed and physical attack stats. Your going to alternate between speed and strength training. That means today you start with speed and tomorrow strength. Got it?"

"Rrruff!"

"Perfect. Now after each days training as well as other meals during the day will be prepared by me so that you will grow better and faster. The final thing I have to say is that each week after training, you all will have a spar to see your progress as well as get some experience. You are of course welcome to try with some of the wild pokemon, but safety first. I dont want you guys to get hurt."

They all ran up to me as if to confirm that my words got through to them. I just crouched down and started to pat their heads.

"Good. Now then, start your training." I commanded while showing them how to do it.

Thats how our training started to become the best.
