In the previous chapter we see how our heroes go to the gym but just before leaving the Pokémon Center they meet Molly and her parents who had come to see their battles as promised the day before, so, determined they go to the gym where the first battle begins, so far Ash was able to weaken two of his three Pokémon and now Pikachu and he face the last one, if they win they will get their last badge and will be qualified to participate in the Indigo League, what fate awaits them? Find out.
...
With Ash.
Pikachu used Iron Tail which collided with Rhyperior's attack, but neither seemed to lose in strength and in the end both fell back from the impact.
"We will win without a doubt, Pikachu come closer using Quick Attack!"
Pikachu wrapped himself in a white aura and shot out towards Rhyperior.
"Don't let him come over, use Rock Blast!"
A medium-looking rock formed in her hands and threw her towards Pikachu.
"Hit him with Iron Tail!"
Pikachu hit the incoming rock with his tail and broke the rock hitting Rhyperior in the process and pushing him back, apparently even taking some damage from the impact.
"Come on Rhyperior let's continue using Rock Blast!"
A rock even larger than the previous one shot towards Pikachu at a high speed.
"Break it with Iron Tail!"
Pikachu used his attack to split the rock that came towards him.
"Don't stop, keep using Rock Blast!"
Damn, I forgot that Rock Blast had an effect that made each stone bigger than the previous one and in real life it seemed that it also gained speed.
"Break it again!"
Pikachu broke the rock again, but this time with greater difficulty.
"This is the end, finish that Pikachu using Rock Blast, it's my victory!"
Think Ash, there must be some way to avoid that Rock Blast and hit the Rhyperior... I've got it!"
"Pikachu let's surf, but with rocks!" – I said.
Pikachu seemed to understand what I meant and waited until the rock was near him to mount the rock.
"Propelled yourself using Quick Attack!"
Pikachu used Quick Attack to increase his speed and quickly approached Rhyperior.
"Finish with Rock Blast!"
Rhyperior managed to form a rock in his hand or at least almost did because...
"Iron Tail, don't let him form that rock!"
"Pikachuuuu!" – shouted Pikachu.
Thanks to his great speed, Rhyperior could not form the rock quickly and gave Pikachu time to impact his attack on him, causing an explosion that sent him to the ground weakened.
"Rhyperior cannot continue to fight, therefore the victory is for Pikachu and since the three Pokémon of the gym leader have fallen, the winner is Ash from Pallet Town!" – said the referee.
"We did it Pikachu we've won!" – I exclaimed as I hugged Pikachu with joy.
"Brother!" – someone suddenly said.
It was Molly who had already pounced on me and I had no choice but to take her in my arms.
"Congratulations brother, you are the best and I knew you would win!" – Molly said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you very much!" – I nodded.
Then my parents congratulated me and of course my girls.
"It was a spectacular fight, you deserve the badge" - said Giovanni giving me a badge in the shape of a feather.
"We've won the Earth Badge!" - I shouted.
"Pi, Pikachu!" – and that was Pikachu.
But at that moment, the Rotom Dex came out of my pocket.
"The 285th participant, Ash Ketchum-Hale from Pallet Town just got the Eighth Badge and just won the participation in the Indigo League, he is the 55th trainer who has get the 8 gym badges, congratulations, a message will be sent to you 3 days before the start of the Indigo League to come to the stadium, be attention!" – that was the Rotom Dex.
Wow, this did not happen in the anime but I like it, it also seems that I was the 55th coach to get the 8 badges, would I have been higher if I had not lived so many events or even the movies? I probably would have been among the first but I don't care because thanks to those events I now have Mew, Latias and a beautiful little siste so I don't regret any of that, rather, I'm grateful.
But this wasn't over, now it was Nancy's turn.
...
With Nancy.
Ash had just won his eighth and last badge and had qualified to participate in the Indigo League, but now it was my turn, if I won I would also qualify, so I must win yes or yes.
After a couple of minutes it was time to start my fight.
"Having three challengers on the same day is hard, I admit, but that doesn't mean I'm tired, on the contrary, the battle with Ash left me with more desire to fight than before, so now I will try even harder, Nidoking I choose you!" – said Giovanni.
"I will win without a doubt, Nidoqueen is your turn!" – I said.
Both Pokémon came out into the field and looked at each other with a defiant look, I'm sure they both only had one thing in mind, victory and that's what we were going to do.
"Nidoking vs Nidoqueen, this will be interesting, Nidoking use Stone Edge!"
"Use Stone Edge too!"
Both attacks collided with each other and nullified each other, this was a test of strength, so it means that in that we are tied with Nidoking, so this battle will depend on the trainer.
"Use Ice Punch!"
Nidoqueen wrapped her fist in a bluish color and threw himself towards Nidoking, as he knew that this gym was of the Earth type, I decided that it was best for Nidoqueen to learn that attack, so she would have the advantage, at least that was my thought at first.
"Use Protect and then attack with Ice Punch you too!"
"Retreat!"
But it was too late, Nidoqueen hit her attack on the Nidoking's barrier causing it no damage, but Nidoking took advantage of this to impact an attack on Nidoqueen that sent her flying.
"Are you okay?" – I asked worriedly.
"Queen!" - she nodded.
Okay, then I have to think about something, both Pokémon are equal in strength, so it all depends on how well I do, I need to calm down and let ideas flow in my head... I think I have it.
"Nidoqueen use Stone Edge!"
"It didn't work before and now it doesn't work now, Nidoking use Stone Edge and nullifies her attack!"
"Run to the rocks!"
Both attacks collided as Nidoqueen ran straight towards the rocks so when both attacks were nullified, Nidoqueen was already very close to Nidoking.
"¡Ice Punch!"
"Damn it, dodge it!"
But it was so close that it was impossible to dodge it and instead Nidoking was sent to fly by the powerful impact, it did not weaken, but I could see that the blow affected it enough to tire it enough.
"Excellent, I didn't expect an attack like that... but it's time to end this fight, Nidoking use Ice Punch continuously, don't give it time to rest!"
"Use Ice Punch too!"
Both Pokémon began to collide attacks one after another, neither seemed to want to give in, both wanted victory, but soon fatigue took its toll on both and both hit each other falling to the ground completely weakened.
"Nidoking and Nidoqueen cannot continue!" – said the referee.
"You've done great Nidoqueen and for that you deserve a break" – I said returning her to her Pokéball.
"Hahaha, what a great fight, too bad it ended in a draw, but this was just the warm-up, get ready for the real battle, Golem I choose you!" – said Giovanni.
And a Golem willing to win took to the battlefield.
"Quaxwell proves how strong we are!"
And so Quaxwell went out on the battlefield.
"Let's not delay and start our fight, Golem use Rollout!"
"Quaxwell protect yourself by using Protect!
Quaxwell was able to protect himself from the first attack, the problem is that Rollout could be used continuously and each one was more powerful than the previous one, defending against that attack is almost impossible by normal means, but I will try something I have in mind.
"Quaxwell use Aqua Cutter!"
Quaxwell threw himself at Golem at full speed which kept rolling towards him but luckily when both attacks collided, they tied and Golem had no choice but to fall back.
"Don't stop Golem, the rival has the advantage for his Water type, so we will wear him out, use Rollout continuously!"
"Aqua Cutter, don't let it continue to roll!"
But it was a repetition of constant attacks, Quaxwell prevented Golem from hitting him while Golem started rolling almost immediately, but suddenly, something happened, a light began to envelop Quaxwell suddenly, he was also frustrated by not being able to hit a blow and the anger made him evolve.
"It's evolving!" – I exclaimed in surprise.
"A surprise" – nodded Giovanni.
Soon the light went away letting the new Pokémon be seen.
"Quaquaval's data has been recorded in the Pokédex!" – that was the Rotom Dex as always.
"An amazing evolution is no doubt, but you have not already won, on the contrary, you will lose, Golem continue to use Rollout!"
"Aqua Cutter, knock it down!"
Quaquaval remained serene as he moved his body as if he were constantly dancing and when Golem was a few meters away from him, at an incredible speed he used his attack undoing Golem's and weakening him in a single attack.
"Golem can't keep fighting, the victory is Quaquaval's!" – said the referee.
"Well done Quaquaval!" – I said cheerfully.
"Val!" - said Quaquaval with a confident smile.
"Well, it seems that evolution was decisive in your victory, but there is still a battle ahead, Rhyperior I choose you!" – said Giovanni.
And his last Pokémon Rhyperior took to the battlefield ready to win.
"Quaquaval comes back, you did great, but I want to finish the battle in a different way!" – I said returning Quaquaval to his Pokéball.
Then I took out another Pokéball, I started with this Pokémon and I plan to get the Eighth Medal with it.
"Serperior I choose you!" – I said taking Serperior out.
"Having the type advantage won't give you victory, Rhyperior use Megahorn"
Rhyperior's horn was enveloped in a green aura and sped towards Serperior.
"Counter attack with Leaf Blade!"
Both attacks collided causing both to fall back, however, I could see that Serperior had a small advantage as her attack damaged Rhyperior a bit.
"Don't let him rest, Serperior use Leaf Blade!"
Both clashed attacks relentlessly, neither seemed to have an excessive advantage over the other, only Serperior seemed to have some advantage, but not too much so after a few attacks both separated panting with exhaustion.
After so many attacks even Serperior had grown tired while Rhyperior was only still standing because of his high defense.
But, although Rhyperior had a very high defense against contact attacks, those attacks that did not hit him directly did a lot of damage, this was taught to me by Ash, so, thanks to him, I made Serperior keep the only attack that did not need to make contact.
"It's time for the grand finale, Rhyperior finish Serperior using Megahorn!"
"Exactly, it's time for the grand finale, Serperior stand still!"
Giovanni raised an eyebrow at this order, but still did not stop Rhyperior who quickly approached Serperior.
"Let's see how you dodge this, Serperior use Giga Drain!"
"Dodge it!"
Giovanni tried to get his Pokémon to dodge the blow, however, the reason I made Serperior stay still until now is exactly for that, so that he would not be able to dodge his attack.
So Serperior's attack hit Rhyperior squarely who fell to the ground completely weakened.
