Chapter 105 - Indigo League; Suzune

Suzune wasn't sure whether she should continue or not. Now that her strongest Pokémon was easily defeated, Suzune already had lost any hope of winning against Itsuki. Even if Suzune manages to defeat Itsuki's next two Pokémon and win this battle, she won't able to get in the top 10 rankings. For Suzune it was already over.

"Miss Suzune please bring out your next Pokémon." The referee reminded when he saw Suzune not taking out her next Pokémon.

Itsuki could see that Suzune lost her will to continue this right.

Suzune raised her right habd with a bitter smile and said. "I quit." Hearing Suzune's unexpected words everyone in the stadium had different thoughts and the crowd began to talk among themselves.

Suzune didn't care about the crowd or the reaction that Itsuki had. She turned around and just walked away. Her walking speed seemed more faster, it's like she can't wait to leave.

[Winner of the 7th match, Itsuki Kagami have won the match with 10 points.] Itsuki didn't care about his winning. Itsuki was just too stunned to even care about his victory.

From the beginning of the match, Itsuki imagined himself in all kinds of difficult situations. This wasn't the situation Itsuki had expected to happen.

A girl like Suzune giving up and leaving. Itsuki couldn't accept this. Itsuki wanted a proper 3v3 battle.

Suzune found an empty place. She crouched down, put her hands to cover her face.

"After day and night of hard work, I couldn't even make it to the top 10. Am I really worthless? Why I am alway losing and my brother is always winning? Why life is so unfair?" Suzune didn't wished to show her weak side to anyone. She had to become a Independent to survive in the cold and harse society.

"You have done a good job Suzune." Suddenly Suzune heard a familiar voice, she then felt a hand patting her head. Suzune raised her head and saw Finn in front of her.

Suzune suddenly grabbed Itsuki's collar and looked at Itsuki as her eyes were filled in tears and anger. "It's because of you. Do you have any idea how hard I had to struggle? Do you have any idea how hard I have worked for this? It took me an entire year of day and night training to make my Pokémon that strong, yet I lost to you so easily."

Itsuki looked at her face which now was covered in tears.

Sigh!

"All I can say that you have done your best. Suzune it's not your fault." Itsuki gently smiled and kept patting her head with his right hand. Itsuki was hoping that she would calm down. But what Suzune did the next moment made things complicated.

Suzune suddenly wrapped her arms around Itsuki. She buried her face in his chest and began to cry loudly.

Itsuki didn't hug her back since he didn't wished to take any advantage of her. Itsuki instead just gently patted her back and tried his best to comfort her.

'It looks like she has been suffering. She has been suppressing her emotions. Now she is releasing everything at once.' Itsuki thought as he kept patting her back.

Suzune didn't stop crying for more than 15 straight minutes. During that 15 minutes, Itsuki tried his very best to comfort Suzune. But it seemed that she had been holding it in for a long time.

After more than 15 minutes, Suzune finally stopped crying. "Have you calmed down?" Itsuki said while patting her head.

Suzune didn't move from her position. Now that she had calmed down, she realized what she was doing till now.

'What did I just do? Why did I have to cry in front of him?' Suzune felt that her whole body had stiffened. Suzune felt embarrassed and ashamed of what she had done just now.

Suzune awkwardly moved away the hands that were wrapped around his back. Suzune then separated from herself from hugging Itsuki. Fortunately Itsuki said nothing to make the situation even more embarrassing.

After separating herself from Itsuki, Suzune lowered her head and couldn't look into his eyes because of embarrassment.

Seeing the way she was acting, even a 5 years old child would also able to tell what Suzune was feeling.

"It's okay. There is no need for you to feel embarrassed. You have only made my Shirt wet with tears and have marked it with your snot. I will wear a new T-shirt." Hearing Itsuki's sarcastic words Suzune felt like burying her head somewhere in embarrassment.

Even the darkness Itsuki could see the flushed face of Suzune.

Itsuki chuckled and continued."By the way, since you have ruined my Shirt, I want some form of compensation." Suzune raised her head as her ruby eyes met his black eyes.

"What compensation do you want? Let me tell you this before you say anything, you can't ask me to do anything that is considered sexual." Suzune said with a straight face.

Itsuki pretended to look hurt after hearing Suzune's words. "Do I look like that kind of Guy to you?"

Suzune rolled her eyes. "Yes, you do." Suzune suddenly realized something while looking at his Shirt. "You know, just give me your Shirt. I will wash it properly and return it to you tomorrow." Suzune felt Itsuki was going to ask something unreasonable in form of compensation so she felt it would be better to just wash the Shirt and be done with this matter.

"Washing my shirt would only compensate for my the damage that my Shirt took from your tears and snot. What about my mental and health compensation?" Itsuki was going to with the flow. At first he asked for compensation to distract her sad thoughts.

He felt very happy to irritate Suzune. The situation was like when Luna feels happy irritating Itsuki.

Just like Itsuki wanted, Suzune immediately became angry and glared at Itsuki."You are talking as if my tears and snot are some kind of acid or poison. And what the hell did you mean by Mental and health compensation?"

"Do you even know how difficult it is to calm down a crying girl? In the last 15 minutes, millions of my brain cells have just committed suicide because your crying has caused a covid like virus to spread in my brain cells. In the last 15 minutes, my body has been burning extra calories just to bear your weight." Itsuki looked at Suzune's body and continued. "You look so thin but your body can even beat a baby elephant in weight competition."

Suzune felt like she could murder someone right now. It was taking her all to not jump on Itsuki and attack him.

Itsuki noticed the glared that Suzune was giving him. "Stop starting at me like a Duplicate broken Titanic sinking ship. I am not your Hitler. I am the person who has helped you."

"What..... Do... You..... Want?" Suzune asked while trying to maintain her anger. Itsuki smiled like he had won a ticket to LA. Suzune felt Itsuki had wrong intentions when she saw that creepy and greedy smile of his. Suzune pulled Itsuki's collar and bought his face closer to her.

"Itsuki if you dare to ask for something unreasonable then..... Itsuki hurriedly stopped her and said. "I want you to become my company's sponsor."

Suzune..."

Suzune was confused. She understood the meaning of his question but she couldn't understand how Itsuki had an company. Or maybe Itsuki was just pulling her leg again.

Usually big companies would sent scouts to look for trainers with potential. Usually big Leagues or competitions are the best place to find talented and potential young trainers.

All the remaining 50 trainers in the current round will definitely get one or multiple sponsorship offers.

Usually Companies seeks only 4th order trainers. A trainer is called 4th order when 3 or more Pokémon of that trainer is in 4th order level.

"What's with that look? I am not lying to you. After the Indigo league, I will ask Amaterasu to get you the contract papers and other stuff. In case if you're wondering what's my Company's name is, it's Azure Industry in Kalos region." Suzune assumed that Itsuki's parents must have bought the company for Itsuki.

"I assure you that the contract won't be less than 25 million P$ per year." Even a 4th order trainer doesn't gets more than 15 million P$. So for Suzune getting 25 million P$ was a very big number.

"I would have directly agreed to your offer. But now the law has changed. Trainers can sell Pokémon and earn money. Trainers no longer would have to rely on Sponsors. But again who wouldn't mind some free money. We will talk about the contract later. After I do my research on your so called Company." Suzune then began to walk away with a smile on her smile.

Itsuki suddenly looked down and realized that this girl had forgot to take his Shirt.

"Suzune"

Suzune turned around and saw a Shirt was flying at her. Suzune grabbed the Shirt and glared at Itsuki who was semi naked at the moment.

"Wash my shirt properly." Itsuki then ignored Suzune and put on a new T-shirt. Suzune looked at Itsuki's body for a second then she ran away like a frightened rabbit. Itsuki definitely would have laughed if he had seen her red face.
