Kanto League Again

Axel didn't waste any time and booked a flight for tomorrow. Morgan welcomed him to his home for another dinner. Frank's mother was also there. Frank had already been healed.

There were some bandages in his body but he was okay. Frank's head refused to turn towards Axel. He was traumatized by the experience.

Morgan did the talking and Axel replied to some of them.

"Oh, by the way, when you get a master rank trainer certificate, take out all your pseudo-king rank Pokemon. Don't hide them.", said Morgan.

When he went to get the advanced trainer certificate, he was not compelled to show all of his Pokemon and that was what he did.

"Why is that so?"

"Well, you are going to register for the league battle. When you register for the league battle, you would have to show all your credentials, your gym badges, and all your Pokemons.

So, your pseudo-king rank Pokemon may not be accepted if you don't show them during the master rank trainer certificate.

The league is not very strict about it but why risk it right?"

Meanwhile Frank was feeling bad. Axel who was younger than him was going to register for master rank trainer and for league battles and he didn't even have a pseudo-king rank Pokemon.

Axel and Morgan didn't talk about Frank at the dinner. After dinner, Morgan showed him his room and he went to sleep.

"Son, come to my study room. We need to talk.", said Morgan.

Frank also didn't say anything and after eating he went to his father's study room. His father was very private about this room and would rarely allow anyone to enter.

"Now, tell me what happened in the forest. I want to hear your version.", said Morgan.

Frank told the same story but his version was way different than Axel. In his story, he was the hero.

He said that Axel was like a devil incarnate. He nearly died many times and he had many injuries. Even on the verge of death, Axel rarely helped me and he had to fight a lot of wild Pokemon groups. After talking and telling his story and how he was mistreated, he stopped.

"Is that all?"

"Yes, father. I don't want to see that guy again."

"Good… Good… Hahahahahaha…."

Morgan started to laugh out loud which honestly scared Frank. Why was his father acting out of character?

"Son, do you know anything about Axel? You may know bits and pieces but you may not know the full story.

Axel, unlike you was born in a middle-class family. His family didn't have enough money so they got Axel a Pokemon with random selection. He worked his ass off for 2 years and now he is what he is.

He had maintained a good relationship with the Venu family and he is an elder of the Venu family. He is the successor of Oak himself. He had many pseudo-king rank Pokemons. He had gotten all the gym badges. He fought with Kent as his last badge and won. He did all of that in less than 2 years.

Now look at you. You are older than him. You had all the resources and money. All of your Pokemon have monstrous potential. And look at you and look at him.

Your Riachu, your strongest Pokemon can't even win against his weakest Pokemon. You are weak, you have not unlocked your aura, and you don't have any gym badges. You have nothing. You have earned nothing.

I am not saying you to beat Axel cause that is simply impossible for you. What I am telling is you to work hard. It is time to get serious.

If you are not serious about it, then give up being a trainer. You can't even win against a normal trainer, how are you going to handle this gym in the future? Remember my words, Frank, I am not giving you this gym if you are not capable.

Your mother always spoils you saying that you are still a baby. But are you really a baby?

If you don't want to work hard, then give up being a trainer. You are a disgrace to trainers. Normal trainers don't have resources like you but they train hard to get it. You have all the things that you need but you don't work hard."

Morgan had held his anger for a long time. After talking to Axel, he was very angry. Anyone would be if someone says bad things about your son. But the problem was, he could not even refute it.

His wife had spoiled Frank but Morgan knew that he was also partly responsible.

"I will give you one day. If you don't want to work hard, I would personally take that trainer badge from you. If you want to work hard from now on, then Axel had accepted to train you for some time. It is your choice. You are a man now. You need to be responsible for your actions.

I will wait for your answer till tomorrow. Now get out of my ROOMM!!!", shouted Morgan.

Tears were coming from Frank's eyes. He had been scolded by his father many times but this time it was serious.

He knew that he never worked hard even though his father told him to but he never even imagined not being a trainer or not being a gym leader in the future.

Wiping his tears, he went outside the study room into his own room. His mother knocked on his door to ask if he was alright but he didn't open the door.

"Why were you so harsh to Frank?", shouted, Marry the mother of Frank.

"He needed to hear it."

"Can't you have said that slowly? Frank is just a child and…"

"SHUT UP.. SHUT UP….

If you are in a delusion if you think that our son is still a child. He is 19 fucking years old. Look at Axel or any other trainers in the world and then look at our son. Our son is a coward and you are responsible for it.

He says that he wants to be a great trainer and take my role in the future. But his elemental rank Pokemon could not even defeat a rare rank Pokemon. He had never known the importance of hard work and money and you are fully responsible for it.

Axel said his goodbyes and then took the flight. The flight was around 16 hours long and he had enough time to rest and plan his next move.

Axel landed in Kanto league and now he was ready to go to the league for his trainer certificate.

He sent a message to Lance and Lorelai. He didn't know if they were here but it would be nice to meet them after such a long time.

He headed to the building. This time there was another guard and the guard didn't stop him like before.

He was guided by staff and they finally reached another building.

"This is where we would examine the authenticity of your master rank trainer badge. Please send out of your pseudo-king rank Pokemons.", said a receptionist.

They were now in a battle stadium. This was not the same battle stadium from before but it looked very similar.

The name of the receptionist was Soma. She had a good experience in testing the master rank certificate. She had also seen many powerful Pokemon. She had heard a lot about Axel and she was excited to see his Pokemon.

Axel then took out 1 Master ball, then another one.

Soma nodded her head. A famous trainer like Axel should have at least 2 pseudo-king rank Pokemon. However, Axel didn't stop.

He started to take out one Pokemon after another. Soma's expression went from surprised to outright horrified. Axel had taken out a total of 8 balls. Did that mean that he had 8 pseudo-king rank Pokemons?

She refused to believe it.

"Come out guys, all of you!!!!"

Soma then realized that she was not dreaming.
