Dragon Test

"It is really simple actually. If the leader hated us, he would not have let us claim those places. We are very weak right now. That Krookodile or even Ninetales has the power to kill us. But they didn't. 

This battle with Shiinotics. We are injured but none of our Pokemons died in this. Somehow I feel that this leader is pro-human for some reason. It is ready to sacrifice Pokemons for us."

"Well, if you put it like that, then you are right. I am ready to explore.", replied K.

Cody and Frank had no problem in continuing the journey and Lance also agreed to it. Finally, Kate and Ryker also agreed to continue the journey.

Axel was still waiting on the reward by the system. It had been an hour and it was still calculating the reward. He could not understand why it was taking so much time. 

Finally, the notification came.

The reward has been calculated.

Reward: The effect of flying type locket, dragon type locket, fairy type locket, water type locket, fighting type locket, and rock type locket has been enhanced.

For a second, Axel didn't understand what the system was talking about but then he remembered.

'The lockets that I purchased from the pawn shop!!! Don't tell me that it was a genuine product.'

He had not given the lockets to his Pokemon. To be frank, he had already forgotten about it but now the system was telling him that the effect of that locket had been enhanced. That meant that the lockets were genuine. 

Axel didn't know the actual effect of the lockets but he could say for sure that it was not anything that would harm his Pokemons.

He called Pidgeot, Togepi, Acron, Mankey, Bagon, and Totodile. 

"Since you guys have ranked up or evolved, I have a gift for you.", said Axel pulling out the lockets from his hand.

Pidgeot was instantly happy after seeing it. It loved this type of shiny thing. The locket had a handy ability to get stuck after it was put on. So, Axel could be assured that they would not fall off.

All of them got their lockets except for Bagon as it had not evolved.

"You will also get one when you evolve. Now you have to train hard, okay?", said Axel.

Axel wanted to give the locket to Bagon but he also knew that giving it the locket before its evolution would create favoritism among his Pokemons. So, he did show the locket to Bagon but didn't give it to it. Bagon was a kid now, so it also loved shiny things. 

Seeing that it could only get one after evolution, it was determined to train even harder. It wanted to train right now but Axel stopped it. They had a very harsh battle and Bagon had given its all in that battle too. It needed a good amount of rest before training.

The next day,

Axel said goodbyes to the Shiinotics and the Mavericks started to move forward. The hill was partially broken after the huge fight and the Shiinotics were busy repairing it. 

They didn't know what kind of Pokemon they would face right now, so Axel told all of them to be prepared for it.

He also called out Alakazam for protection. It was very near to reaching tier 2 of king rank. Axel realized that a Pokemon could be considered a tier 2 king rank Pokemon when one of its stats reached B rank. Alakazam's special attack was now in C++ rank along with its agility and attack stat.

They met some wild group of Pokemons but none of them were in king rank. Most of them didn't even come forward to fight and those who did were easily defeated by Alakazam.

It has been 3 more days. Axel believed that they had reached near dragon-type resource place.

However, unlike other resource-type places that were hidden in the pocket space and were very hard to find, dragon type resource place was just the opposite. 

There was a huge statue perfectly carved in the form of a dragon. Axel could not determine what sort of Pokemon it really was cause he had never heard of or seen this type of Pokemon. The dragon looked very intimidating. It had big wings, a long and pointy tail, and big teeth and there were cravings of dragon scales all over its body.

It looked majestic and dominating.

"I am 100% sure that this is the dragon-type resource place.", said Lance.

"But why is this place not hidden like all the others? It is right in front of us.", asked Kate.

"The nature of dragon-type Pokemons are different. They are arrogant, prideful, and also very powerful. They would not want to hide in some pocket space so that no one could find it.", said Lance.

Lance's family focused on dragon-type Pokemons. So, he had a good amount of knowledge about them.

"That must be the case but it also means that the test of this place would be extra hard. If the dragon-type Pokemons are ready to reveal their location to others, then they must be confident in their abilities.", said Axel.

"Yes, that might be true. Let's see what we have to do here. Let's enter.", said Ryker and all of them started to go towards the place and…

SWOOOCHHH

All of them disappeared.

Even though there was a mighty statue, it was still a pocket space. 

Just when they entered the place, the dense aeus energy instantly hit them and all of them kenneled down on the ground. The aeus energy was also filled with some sort of dominating aura. 

 This place was very dangerous. All of them sat down to get used to this aeus energy. Axel opened his eyes and he could see that there were many dragon-type Pokemons that were staring at them. Their fierce gazes made him feel a little scared for a bit.

He could also see that they were not going to attack until all of them were ready to stand up properly.

15 hours passed and finally, Axel was able to stand up properly. He could also see that Cody was almost ready to stand up too. He looked at his teammates and could see that all of them were having trouble this time. The dense aeues energy was very high right now and that dominating aura of the dragons was not something to laugh at.

At the front stood a Salamence. It looked extra big and very scary. Salamence was known for its anger and high attack power. It looked like the leader of this place. Axel looked around and saw that there were every dragon-type Pokemons available except for the legendaries and mystical ones.

Those who loved dragon-type Pokemons might feel that they were in heaven. Axel was also one of them but looking at his current situation, he was rather scared. Dragon type were very dangerous. Their pride and arrogance were on another level.

"Welcome human.", said Salamence.

"Thank. We have come here to claim the place. You must have your test that we must pass."

"Yes, you are right. I do have the test for you. However, all of your friends are still not able to stand up. So, let's wait for some time."

"Thanks for understanding."

After some time, Cody woke up. Axel could see that Lance, K, and Frank were somehow able to break through rare rank at the same time. Kate was already in rare rank, so she didn't have any breakthrough.

The aeues energy here was very dense. This helped them in breakthrough. 

All of them were now staring at the extra big Salamence. Since it was a dragon-type resource place, Axel had already called out Bagon to see. He could see that Salamence was also observing Bagon a lot. 

Bagon was also curious about this place and was looking around. 

The place was a mixture of many resource places that they had seen. The place was very big. There were mountains on the back and some of them had volcanoes coming out of them. There was also a sea on their left side and also a place where it was snowing. 

The place looked perfect for dragons. Dragon, like fairies, was a type of Pokemon that humans had not fully known about. Their typing was very mysterious. None of the great scientists or professors could say what a dragon type represents. 

Axel hoped that he would get some answers from Salamence today.

"So I will not waste your time and get on with the test. You see, we dragon-type Pokemons may be very mysterious to you humans. There are many types of dragon-type Pokemons all of them have their specialties and downsides. 

However, there is one thing that we dragon-type Pokemons are famous for and that is defense. We could take a good amount of hits cause we are dragon-type Pokemons.

We are also the wielder of magic. So, your manipulation of infinity energy would also be tested.

For this test, only dragon-type Pokemon could participate. First, you will be put under pressure from me. If any of your dragon-type Pokemon can withstand it for 1 minute, then you will pass the first test.

Secondly, your dragon-type Pokemon would attack me with their best move. If any of your dragon-type Pokemons impressed me, then you will pass the second test.

And don't worry. Even a common rank could participate in it. I will lower my power and my expectation for lower-rank Pokemons.", said Salamence.

It said the last sentence looking at Bagon. It wanted Bagon to participate as it was interested in how powerful this Bagon was. It could already tell that this Bagon was not a normal dragon-type Pokemon.

Axel looked at Bagon and asked, "Do you want to participate?"

It gave a small roar saying that it would. 

Lance called out all of his dragon-type Pokemons.

Axel could see 6 dragon-type Pokemon and all of them were in pseudo-king rank. He didn't know that Lance had so many dragon-type Pokemons.

Those 6 dragon type Pokemons were:

1. Dragonite

2. Kingdra

3. Flygon

4. Salamence

5. Hydreigon

6. Haxorus

That was a powerful team. If all of them were in king rank, Axel might also lose against Lance. Dragon-type Pokemon were not a joke. They were very resilient and had higher stats compared to other Pokemons.

Salamence was equally surprised to see so many dragon-type Pokemons. 

"You seem to love our kind."

"Yes, I want to be the best dragon trainer in the future."

Salamence nodded after hearing the reply.

"If you want to participate, then come onto the stage.", roared Salamence.

All the dragon-type Pokemons of Lance went to the stage and Bagon also joined the team.

"Now, I will use one of my moves and my ability to suppress you. This will test your defense, your body, and also your intelligence to some level. If any of you can persist for a minute, then you will pass the test.

Bagon, go a bit farther from them.", said Salamence.

The group was also excited to see what was going to happen. Others didn't have dragon-type Pokemons with them. Only Lance and Axel did. 

They could get a dragon-type Pokemon but training one was very hard and it took a lot of time for them to advance. So, none of them had dragon-type Pokemons but they wanted to see the might of these Pokemons.

"Are all of you ready?", asked Salamence.

All of them gave their roars to say that they were ready.

"Let's start!!!"
