S4E1: Journey To The Islands

It has been a few days since our hero had departed from Pallet Town for the Orange Islands. Now it wouldn't be until nightfall until they reach the first island. So in the meantime Foxx and Joy are enjoying laying in the deck. Meowlth? Well he's staying in the room since he gets sea sick and hates boats especially in bad weather like what they just came out of.

Now Foxx unfortunately wouldn't get to relax as much as he'd originally had desired for just as he'd gotten comfortable and was just about to drift off to sleep someone kicked the leg of his chair waking him up. Thus through tired eyes Foxx sat up and looked at the person who kicked his chair. It was a young male Ace Trainer.

"Yes, can I help you?" asked Foxx as he stretched and yawned.

"I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!" declared the Ace Trainer.

"I'm too tired right now can we battle later." yawned Foxx as he started to lay back in the chair.

"No!" snapped the Ace Trainer as flipped the chair Foxx was in spilling him onto the deck while Joy was thrown over board. "You're the only trainer her I haven't fought so we battle now!"

"Do you know who you're messing with?" asked Foxx as he held out Joy's pokeball to recall her before she had a chance to hit the water.

"You're some lame trainer who just wants to lounge around doing nothing." huffed the Ace Trainer with a grin.

"No, I'm Foxx Oak, current champion of the Battle on The Train. I've also one badges from four different regions while also taking down many key members of Team Rocket. I'm not in the mood of childish battles and just want to rest." explained Foxx as he fixed his chair.

"Hmm I think you're just afraid of loosing." huffed the Ace Trainer with a grin.

I could crush you with only one of my Pokémon if I wanted to but like I said I just want to rest not battle." replied Foxx getting frustrated with the AceTrainer and even shot a glance towards one of the sailers. "When we reach the first island then I'll be glade to battle you but if you risk my Pokémon's safety again I'll personally through you off this ship."

"What's your deal man?" asked the Ace Trainer as he pushed Foxx in the chest. "You got all kinds of big talk yet no action. Besides you act as if the pokemon are more then stupid creatures of which we to battle with."

With that Foxx swung hard and clocked the Ace Trainer right across the cheek and even catching he nose just enough to break it. The Ace Trainer stumbled back grabbing his nose in pain as Foxx glared at him and drew Joy's pokeball and struck a pose before declaring, "I'll battle you one on however many you have right now in a winner takes all battle. You win you get both of my pokemon but if I win I get all the pokemon you currently have on you."

"You're crazy but I except." replied the Ace Trainer with a bloody grin as he stood a got ready.

"Good now for a witness as well as official." replied Foxx as he motioned over a nearby sailor before asking, "Can you have the captain come to the deck to officiate and witness this unique battle?"

"Yes Mr. Oak." replied the sailor before slipping away to find and explain the situation to the ship's captain and it wasn't really that long before he returned with the Captain who confirmed that both contestants were on board for the full terms of the battle before offering for Foxx to add a second pokemon to even the odds.

"No, Captain Namor, I have faith in little Joy that she can win against this punk." replied Foxx as he gently tossed Joy's pokeball into the air releasing her right at his feet before mentally adding to her, "Joy, this is a winner take all battle and you're more then likely going to have to go up against six possible strong pokemon but this fool treats them like tools and I can't let him keep them. So lets put him in his place. What say you?"

"Is he the one who flipped you out of your chair sending me over the side of the ship?" mentally asked Joy looking up at Foxx.

"Yes, but don't let that blind you from the goal at hand because you're the only Pokémon I get to use against possibly his six and winner takes all eight Pokémon." mentally cautioned Foxx before kneeling at her side and scratching behind her ears to calm her.

"I know but I want to fire blast him." mentally whined Joy before shaking her mind clear and adding, "But you're right for the safety of those Pokémon he's caught and abused we have to remain focused and level minded."

"I agree, and taking his Pokémon will be enough of a punishment for the punk." mentally replied Foxx with a smile before standing back up and looked at Captain Namor before verbally adding, "Captain I recommend we clear the deck of non-combatants or at least rope off the arena."

"I was more thinking about having you two move into the battle arena on the ship for the safety of your Pokémon as well as the other passengers on board." replied Namor.

"I agree what about you trainer can you wait long enough to move the battle to the arena below deck?" replied Foxx as he signaled for Joy to leap up onto his arm and climb up to his shoulders where she rested.

"I guess I can allow you a little more time with that weak Pokémon of yours while we head below deck." mockingly teased the Ace Trainer as he turned his back on them and started for the battle arena.

"Thanks for officiating this for me Captain Namor, I know technically you're the only one that could legally oversee such a battle seeing as it does have it's odd and unique prizes." replied Foxx with a smile as he more slowly followed the Ace Trainer below deck.

"Actually I'm not the only one. In fact there are two other's of which I will send to meet us there as to be more equally fair since the odds of you knowing all three judges or all three of us knowing you would indeed be rare." replied Namor as he followed along side of Foxx, "It will also make it hard for that rude kid to refuse you your prize upon your victory."
