S1E22:Round Two

He must be destined to fight the hardest of battles first! But that wouldn't stop him for he stood tall and proud as he watched his opponent approach the giant pool that was to be their battle ground.

Kneeling Foxx looked Vulpix in the eyes and said, "Girl I know we are way out of your element and there is very little room for you to stand but if we work together we just might prevail. But win or loose you will always make me proud to be your friend."

"Trying to get that runt to get near the water are you?" mocked a trainer wearing only swim trunks as he floated next to a small raft with six Pokeballs on it.

Foxx saw a flare of anger in Vulpix's eye and smiled as he said, "Let's make this interesting then! We both will only use one Pokemon! I'll use Vulpix here while you choose your strongest Pokemon!"

"I don't need my strongest to beat that runt!" mocked the trainer.

"He has a point there." quietly added Brock from behind him.

"Nonetheless I challenge your strongest Pokemon!" replied Foxx not paying attention to Brock's comment.

"Have it your way!" replied the trainer as he picked up one of his Pokeballs and added, "Let's end this runt and its master! Go Blastoise!"

"Good choice, Vulpix lets show them what makes us masters!" replied Foxx with a smile.

"Blastoise! Hydro Pump!"

"Vupix dodge! Then Fire Blast!" yelled Foxx and Vulpix did so only to miss and hit the water instead of his opponent

"Your Vulpix can't even hit a stationary target." mocked the trainer.

"Vulpix! Fire Storm! Then Follow it up with a Flamethrower!" yelled Foxx in response.

Again Vulpix seemed to have missed and hit the water with both moves. Foxx winked as Vulpix poured an endless stream of flame into the water!

"Blastoise, water gun" yawned the trainer.

"Dodge! Ember! Smokescreen! Flamethrower!" yelled Foxx, and Vulpix did as told first dodging the water gun, then blasting the water with an ember attack then filling the arena with smoke and lastly resuming the endless stream of fire into the water.

The trainer coughing had to get out of the water. He was also covered in sweat but hadn't noticed the increase in water temp.

"Blastoise surf!" called the trainer but nothing happened, "Blastoise?"

With a nod from the official a train attendant flipped the vent switch to reveal Blastoise floating on its back out and Vulpix was still blasting the water with its flame. The trainer was about to dive in to check on his Pokemon when nurse joy stopped him. Foxx nodded to Vulpix who stopped her flamethrower.

"You better recall Blastoise before he cooks!" yelled Foxx this was no longer a battle but a rescue! "Does anyone have any ice Pokemon?"

"Jinx ice beam!" yelled a trainer from the sidelines and the moment it hit the water the room filled with steam! Moments later the trainer and his Blastoise were being treated for burns.
