The Beginning of the Adventure

Rael never imagined that his life would change that day when Professor Oak arrived in his village. The small village of Raizan, located at the foot of Mount Silver, had always been quiet, almost forgotten by the rest of Kanto. Here, children played with wild Pokémon and adults tended to their crops, but the concept of Pokémon trainers was just beginning to resonate with its inhabitants.

It was a cool spring morning when Rael, a 14-year-old boy, went out early to collect firewood. Pidgey's were flying in the blue sky, and Caterpie's were slowly creeping through the trees. In the distance, Mount Silver stood majestic, shrouded in mist on its peaks.

As Rael bent down to pick up a log, he heard a noise in the bushes. Curious, he approached slowly, trying not to make a sound. When he pushed the branches aside, his eyes met a small Eevee, with shiny fur and curious eyes. The Pokémon watched him suspiciously, but did not seem frightened.

-What are you doing here, little one? -Rael whispered, holding out his hand gently.

The Eevee sniffed the young man's hand and, to his surprise, moved a little closer, almost confidently. But before Rael could pet it, a loud roar echoed from the nearby mountains. The sound made the Eevee bristle and run away, getting lost in the trees. Rael stood there, transfixed, trying to decipher what he had heard.

-Rael! -His mother's voice brought him out of his trance. Rael, come quick! Something big is happening in the square.

In a hurry, Rael ran towards the town, his mind still focused on that strange roar. As he arrived, he saw a crowd gathered around an imposing figure: an older man in a white robe and glasses, surrounded by several Pokémon, including a large Dragonite.

-"Citizens of Raizan," said the man in a strong, clear voice, "my name is Samuel Oak, I am a teacher in Pallet Town and I study the world of Pokémon. Today I have come to share with you a unique opportunity.

Rael pushed his way through the crowd until he reached the front, just as Professor Oak held up a box with three Pokéballs.

-I'm looking for brave young people who are willing to travel the Kanto region, train their own Pokémon and help me on an important mission! We must learn more about these creatures and the bond they share with us!

Rael's heart began to pound - would this be his chance? Could he leave his quiet life in the village and embark on an adventure?

-Who would be the first to take the plunge? -Oak asked, looking around at the crowd.

There was an awkward silence. Most of the adults looked at each other, unsure. Many young people were excited, but the fear of the unknown was palpable. Rael, without a second thought, stepped forward.

-I'll do it," he said firmly, his voice shaky, but determined.

Oak smiled, watching the young man with interest.

-What's your name, boy?

-Rael... Rael of Raizan.

The professor nodded, taking a Pokéball out of the box and handing it to Rael.

-Here you go, Rael. This will be your traveling companion. Take good care of it and together you will discover what it means to be a true Pokémon trainer.

Rael took the Pokéball in both hands, feeling its weight. It was the start of something big, something that would change his life forever.

When he threw the Pokéball to the ground, the light shone brightly and from it emerged the little Eevee he had seen earlier in the forest.

-You... -Rael whispered, surprised and excited.

The Eevee looked at him curiously, but this time with a spark of recognition. The bond between them was destined to form from that first encounter.

In the distance, another roar echoed from the mountains, but this time Rael felt not fear, but a growing excitement. Their adventure had just begun.
