2. Sisters, save me!

"NOOOOOO!!!" it was still early in the morning and the farmhands hadn't long started their work when they all heard a horrible scream rip through the air like someone was being chased by a bloodthirsty beast. Strangely none of the workers here seemed startled or surprised to hear this noise, all they did was look in the direction of the big house that their two bosses and their family lived in with a strange look in their eyes. Even some of the Miltank looked over as well like they were all expecting something to happen.

Sure enough not long after they looked over a young boy with brown hair and stary eyes darted out of the house like he was fleeing for his life. Hot on his heels was an older man who looked in his mid-thirties, he was tall at almost two meters with the same brown hair as the boy he was chasing. Their features were similar though the older man had a slightly chubby build, he was still rather fit, and fast enough to chase down the madly fleeing boy. "Roby you little slacker, get back here and do your chores ". The only reply he got was another panic filled scream "nooooo!".

As Roby ran like his life depended on it towards the barn under the strange gazes of the people and Pokémon watching, his father Dennis Leone continued to chase with what seemed like a bag of rubbish in his hand… ever since Robert turned 5 his mother, Mariah and his father, Dennis both agreed he was old enough to start doing some smaller chores around the house and the farm. When Robert heard this he was actually pretty excited, he wasn't truly five years old after all and has truthfully been fairly bored these last five years of free time, with the only thing for him to do was sit on his hill and practice his skill to check talents.

At first, his parents were rather surprised to see his willingness to do chores but soon accepted it. All was going well, and his parents were quite impressed to see that he was so hard working so young. There are two things Robert did have trouble doing though. Due to a certain incident that happened when he was three, Robert couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat, freeze up and have a panic attack whenever he got too close to any Pokémon. His family were helpless in this and could see that he was actively trying to face and overcome this trauma of his.

For now, they just left it and hoped that in time he would be able to face it. The second thing though is what really baffled everyone on the farm, taking out the rubbish. Every time anyone brought any rubbish near him, he would back away in a panic. Like they were approaching him with an armed bomb, if he was made to get too close, he would simply scream and run away like a murderer was after him. He seemed to fear rubbish far more than Pokémon and was making absolutely no attempt to face it, but no one had any idea why he was so scared of it in the first place. There was one day when a trainer came to visit the farm with a Trubish from the Unova region, which was a rare sight here in Johto. When Robert saw it though, he just passed out right then from fright!

When Dennis saw Robert head to the barn, he started to panic a little. Although there were Pokémon in the barn and Robert was usually rather nervous to approach the barn never mind go inside, but when his father was chasing him with rubbish trying to make him do this chore, he would always seem to forget all about that and head straight for it. It wasn't the Pokémon he was heading for in the barn, he knew that one of the two people who could protect him from his father was usually in there.

Dennis knew this as well so when he saw Roby almost make it to the barn, he couldn't help but feel frustrated and a little helpless "little slacker, stop right there or no lunch for you". This was Dennis ultimate weapon for Roby, who adored anything his mother made him, normally this was very effective, and Robert would do what he's told no questions asked. Robert didn't hesitate in the slightest this time and darted straight into the barn.

Seeing that he had made it to the barn Dennis knew that his son had most likely escaped from his clutches again, slowing to a walk and heaving a sigh Dennis walked in through the door Roby left open in his panic and closed it behind him. When he looked into the barn all he could do was heave a helpless sigh, that little slacker had indeed escaped him again.

Standing further in the barn was Robert surprisingly rather close to a Miltank that is in the middle of being milked. Robert didn't seem to notice that as he hid behind his saviour clutching their clothes tightly and looked fearfully at his father, or rather the bag of rubbish in his hands fearfully. Dennis gave his son an exasperated glance before looking at Roberts saviour with a helpless and pleading look.

Standing in front of Robert was a girl who had rather similar facial features to Dennis and Robert. Although she seemed only about 10 years old, she looked rather pretty already and you could tell she would be a beautiful young lady. Unlike the boys, she has silky blonde hair tied up in a ponytail that flows down a little past her shoulders in length and tan skin from being outside often. She had big doe brown eyes that could melt any heart.

Although this young girl was pretty, she seemed to be a tomboy, wearing the same rough clothes as the workers but not seeming the least bit uncomfortable in them or out of place. She was currently standing with her feet planted shoulder length apart with her arms crossed in front of her. She was currently giving a bit of a fierce glare, with a slight tinge of amusement, at Dennis.

The two didn't get to stare at each other long before both heard Robert cry out between sniffles "big sister Sasha, dads trying to bully me again, you have to protect me". This pretty young girl was Roberts big sister and Dennis's daughter Sasha Leone. At the sound of Roberts whining voice, Sasha turned her head away from her father and looked at her precious little brother. She saw that although his eyes never left the supposed terrifying bag of rubbish he was holding onto her clothes tightly and couldn't help but reveal a look of delight. Robert had two older twin sisters, though they weren't identical. They looked different and their personalities were also fairly different.

Sasha took more after her father in both looks and personality. She enjoyed working outside in the fields or the barn. The only time she would go back inside during the day was for meals. Sasha prided herself on working just as hard as any farmhand and she was a bit fierce when angry. She was usually very determined and unyielding and loved to face any challenge head-on.

She can be a bit rash sometimes and is quick to anger, she might seem tough on the outside but she was actually soft on the inside. Dennis was also like this and the farmhands all agreed that he really had a knack for running the farm, and it seems like Sasha will in the future as well.

Stephanie Leone was the other sister, and she more took after their mother. She had softer features and would rather help out with the housework and cooking than farm work. Something else Stephanie and Mariah had in common was their sharp and quick minds, Mariah was particularly good at the more business side of things, handling sales and organising any stock the farm had or needed, Stephanie seems to also have inherited this from her mother.

Stephanie is kind and gentle to everyone she knows but is a bit shy around strangers, if she knows you well though she tends to act a bit spoilt at times but never takes it too far. Both sisters are very doting with Robert and even though they usually get along, they often fight over who gets to receive Robert's affection. Dennis though was very doting with his daughters instead and could never bear to force them to do anything they didn't want to do.

When Dennis first started to try and make Robert take out the trash, he would run straight to Stephanie who was usually in or around the house and therefore closer. This in turn made poor Sasha feel left out and a little jealous. That only lasted a little while before Dennis started to block his path to Stephanie, so naturally, he started running to Sasha, much to her delight.

Sasha hugged her little brother and glared back at her father "dad how can you be so mean to my little Roby and keep bullying him every morning. Can't you just leave him be, it's only one chore he won't do and does all the others without complaint". As Dennis helplessly listened to his daughter reprimand him, he couldn't help but think "since when am I a bully, all I want him to do is take the trash out! I'm clearly being framed here". Before he could properly respond to her he heard the barn door open and then another head full of blond hair rush past him to Robert.

Crouching next to Robert was another pretty girl that looked similar to everyone else here. She had much softer features than Sasha and had a more feminine air about her. Wearing a green knee-length dress with hair much longer, going down to her buttocks and was allowed to flow down her back like a golden waterfall. She had the same big brown doe eyes. This was Stephanie who raced over after hearing Roberts screams and knowing exactly what was happing.

After comforting Robert a little and seeing he wasn't as scared now with both his big sisters here, Stephanie stood turned to give her father an unfriendly glare "dad how can keep being so mean to poor little Roby, you've been doing this every morning for almost two months now. Even mum has given up on making him have anything to do with the rubbish, but you still insist on chasing him everywhere and away from me". Dennis looked helplessly at his two daughters that seemed to have abandoned him. After heaving a long sigh he raised his hands in defeat and said "fine you girls win, I give up. After two months of this even I can see he is truly terrified of this stuff for some reason".

Both girls look delighted to hear that response. Robert even pops his head out looking expectantly and hopeful at his father, while also darting fearful looks at the bug of rubbish still in his hand "really dad, you're not gonna chase me every morning anymore". Dennis gives a helpless nod to his son who's expression brightens immediately after. He turns back to his daughters and says, "do you two have to so united against me, you're making me think you love your little brother more than you're poor old dad". When the sisters hear this, they both sandwich Robert in a hug and reply at the same time "of course".

The trash thing will make more sense if you read the prologue
