Cutting Ties

I, the lone wanderer of this vast land,

Seem to be losing hold of my old land.

I belong nowhere,

As I have always done.

I shall start moving,

As soon as my day has begun.

Learning stories from this foreign land,

I have come far,

And have never had a plan.

I seem to be losing my grip,

From the heaven and earth.

As I hear philosophies from all over the world.

My mind has changed,

Ever since I came on that old town,

Far away from this land.

There I met an old man,

Who spoke of victories,

And of wars,

From a time,

That had long since passed.

He told me that he had fought in vain,

For at the end it was still the same,

No changes were seen,

But only a bloody scene,

With tears in the homes of everyone.

When I heard this,

I took out my sword,

Threw it in the river near,

Where i believe,

It has been there ever since that year.

I travelled all over,

Looking for answers,

Most of them still not explained.

I hate how it may never end,

As I walk in this path,

Which always seems to bend.

So hear me my fellow traveller,

Don't put your sword to the test,

But come join me in this quest,

For knowledge,

And to search the actual fest.
