Chapter 1

"Just sign here and there"This was like the biggest decision Janelle has to make but right now, she needs the money.

She collected the pen from the middle aged man and signed it"Thank you madam,the boss will be here in a minute"The man left her all alone in the room as she stared at her palm.

She has decided her fate and that's to be a contracted wife to her twin sister fiance.

Janelle was a twin to Janet,they were inseparable and love each other very much.

They were also the most prettiest girls in their city,they recieved a lot of love letters back then.

Then he came and changed everything, Alexander Thomas, the man that made both her and her sister heart beat but unfortunately he loves only her sister since she had saved him from the brink of death.

Now that her sister had died, she had made Janelle promise that she'll take care of Alex for her.

Janelle on the other hand didn't want to fulfill that wish, she didn't want to see the man she loves think about another person while she's there.

Unfortunately,her mother fell sick from cancer of the lungs because of the smokes she had inhaled and Janelle really needs the money but she was poor and the money she makes from her job won't be able to pay it.

She was out of choices and her mom was running out of days, she didn't know who to ask from until he came back again asking for a contracted wife.

He said that he felt guilty for being the cause of her sister death and wish to repay her by marrying her,at that time she was in a vulnerable state.

She had no other choice than to accept even though she knows that this was the worst mistake she had ever made.

The door opened, Janelle looked up and jammed eyes with him, she couldn't help but admire him over and over again.

Even though she knows that what she's doing is wrong, she was literally snatching her sister's fiance and the worst part of it was that she doesn't feel guilty about it.

"You've signed it"He said and sat down calmly on his chair across her.

She fiddled with her dress before answering"Yes"she said not meeting his eyes.

"Hope you read the conditions?"She heard him say as she nods.

The contract states that she was only his wife by name and is to pretend like she was her late sister Janet, she was also not allowed to sleep in the same room as Alex and is only allowed out of the contract only after she had given him a child.

He nods also"Good,then. Get ready, James will come and pick you up,be ready"He finished talking.

Janelle stood up and walked out.

She went home Immediately and started packing.
