Chapter 11

"Nessandra, there is something we need to tell you."

As soon as Nessandra was dropped off by the Sky-car, she was immediately confronted by her mothers.

Both of her mothers stared at each other for a moment and then looked at her.

"Mom, I can't find Danny. I asked Aunt Zenyxa but she would not answer me. What happened...." Nessandra was interrupted by her mother. "Dear, its about Danny. He may not be Human completely or at the age he claims to be." Arianna said. Her demeanor changing. Her commando days were coming back to her. There was a subtle shift but it was enough, Nessandra began to get an Idea of the seriousness of the situation.

"Dear, we can't tell you anymore. Most of it has been classified. The council of high matriarchs has been called in." There was a slight pause. Alessa, who was usually bubbly was in a foul mood. " We have been called in to testify regarding the time we were with him."

Arianna realized that Alessa was now assuming the worst case scenario in her mind.

"We need to leave right now. Remember, the details that we hear must not be mentioned to anyone. Is that understood." Arianna began to look strictly at her daughter.

"Yes mom." Nessandra said.

A part of her felt betrayed but she also felt a degree of fear towards any fate that Danny would face.

In a chamber, there were 13 high seats present in a giant raised room. A Podium present down in the middle of the chamber. A place used sometimes for questioning and other times to confer awards and promotions. Acolytes which were basically followers of the matriarchs were present as well, viewing the meeting from above on the balcony. This chamber was created as a copy of the Citadel main chambers. Colors of dark blue and indigo were present everywhere.

For the first time, an emergency meeting for the utmost reason was called. Failure to attend would have caused an excommunication, so everyone was present.

"This cannot be true. The Protheans were the ones who made the citadel. They were the ones responsible for making the relay network." A voice called out.

"They believed the same, thinking that it was the Inusannon who were responsible for creating the citadel and the relay network". One of the people who investigated the beacon called out. This had called a hush of whispers to start.

"We already plan to send out a few expeditions to investigate a few of the sites left behind on the beacon." An old voice said. This caused the whispering to stop for the moment. A curiosity overcame the observers wondering who would be sent to investigate.

"A plan is being drawn, each matriarch must contribute people to the cause. This matter must be handled with as much secrecy as possible." The old voice asserted once more.

A chorus of agreement was followed after that.

"Is there any disagreement regarding the expedition." Seeing no objection. "Then it is settled"

There was a short pause after that. Each matriarch was waiting for the second issue which must be discussed in public. There was no hiding a few facts. Especially, when he had been seen by their followers and was now currently under guard by them. To make matters more strange, the boy was continuously emitting a ping which indicated that he was an asari. A false ping is emitted by powerful biotics, but the boy had no biotics. The ping was strong enough that the asari that were transporting could feel his presence without even trying and at first thought that he was an asari.

"What do we know about the child trapped within the containment field near the beacon."

A picture was displayed for everyone. Showing Danny within his human form trapped within the containment field.

"The boy's name is Danny Fenton. He was adopted by Alessa and Arianna into the F'enton Family." An Asari stepped forward and began to read from a file she was holding. "He was originally believed to be a human, however evidence shows this to the contrary now. By the records we translated from the Prothean records. He was found by the Prothean Empire as the last of his kind. His species can transform into a different state where they can access a different form of energy." A video began to play form the Prothean archive where Danny transformed. " During the last days of the Prothean Empire he was put into a cyrogenic chamber as it was judged that he would have the highest rate of survival."

"Memories of his school years have been found. The V.I helped us convert them into a Holo Vid form". The old voice began to speak once more. A video began to play showing Danny during his school years. Ending with him being trapped and put to sleep within his pod.

"We believe that he may have woken up and had been trapped by the Bartarians. The facility housing him would have to be in the skyllian verge." The Asari continued to speak, repeating all the relevant details form the file which had been prepared.

Danny's host family had then been called in to give their testimony. They had been asked to tell them everything and so that is what they did.

The council of Matriarchs nodded after the testimony.

"The high Matriarchs will now enter deliberations, everyone is asked to leave the chambers."

It was now time to discuss the reapers.

A holo-vid was displayed in the middle of the room showing the scenes of destruction and parts of the history of the invasion.

"What is the conduit that is being mentioned."

"We don't have an idea."

"By the goddess, these Protheans were much stronger then us and they were butchered." One of the Asari said as she looked at the scene of entire worlds falling. Fleets bigger then she could imagine being ripped apart.

"That's not the worst part. Its how they turned their people." A horrifying scene began to play about the creation of husks. The turning of civilians into mindless robotic zombies. The worst came when they saw the protheans being liquified and being turned into one of the dreadnought. The scene of millions of people being liquified.

One of the Matriarch began to wretch.

"The boy was called a Paragon of Hope by the Prothean VI. He must be protected and we need to prepare all the species. Remove the genophage and bring the quarians back. We will need to throw everything we have at the reapers."

And so the Matriarchs began to draw plans.

A few days later.

"Why is he still not awake?" Nessandra said as she paced the outside of a hospital room.

"The doctors believe that he is in a coma. We are avoiding melding with him for the moment to prevent any unseen accident." Zenyxa explained her niece. She nodded to a few patrolling guards who nodded back at her.

This floor had become one of the most guarded place within the hospital.

Suddenly, Nessandra felt a pulse. This was felt by everyone as she saw that the guards had gone alert and her aunt had drawn her weapon as well. The pulse came from within the room. Zenyxa made her way inside. It took a few moments but she came out with a baffled look in her eyes.

"Danny's causing those pulses." She explained." I can't explain it, come with me to the observation room."

Nessandra followed her. They saw Danny transforming into his ghost form and then the transformation dissipating. This process continued on for a little bit of time. The frequency slowly increasing with some time.

Everyone looked on with fascination until there was an explosion and part of the wall broke. They were under attack.

"Stay here", Zenyxa called out to Nessandra and moved to set up a defense. She could hear continuous sounds of shooting and biotics being thrown. The building itself was shaking the use of biotics. She felt that something was wrong in the room.

Nessandra using a biotic enhanced punch broke the window and made her way into Danny's room. The glass struck something and were visible to her floating in the air. She threw a biotic shockwave at the location, her shockwave was matched and an Asari shimmered into existance.

"I repeat, cover compromised. Securing target now." Nessandra tried to follow up her attack but she found herself unable to move. A stasis shield enveloped her, preventing any movement.

"Neutralizing target." When she heard this, Nessandra's mind went blank. Her eyes which were before shining with a blue light now turned black. A wave of power destroyed the shield around her.

She felt such power flowing through her, and it was so addicting. She moved forward with a biotic enhanced leap. The ground was destroyed from her movement. Finding herself in front of the asari. She picked her up by her throat. She could feel her life energy. All so delicious

"Embrace Eternity." She started a meld and smiled as the asari's eyes also turned black. A smile came onto her face, she had absorbed all of that life force.

The door opened and aunt and her mothers stormed in. Their weapons drawn

"Ardat-Yadetshi." her aunt said, a grim expression on her face.
