A loud and huge explosion made the house collapse. Theo and Cris burst into tears even more.

Dernier’s Memories

(Evan’s Words)

“Baby you’ll stay here with Aunt Fiona don’t worry Daddy will visit you often.”

“I’m sorry Daddy has to go…”

“Baby, did you miss Daddy? Daddy was so busy with the business, look I made you a cute suit, come on wear this and tell Daddy if you love it ok?”

“Baby I heard you fought with your friend. you should not do that again ok? Be a good boy…”

“My little angel always remember that daddy is always here with you no matter what happens ok?”

Chocolates, Candies, Cakes, fruits, clothes, money, and shoes every time the door opens a box or bag was filled with gifts he never felt that his dad abandoned him.

Warm hugs and kisses, words of promises and wisdom, thoughts of knowledge and judgments, soft Thank you and I’m sorry, compelling I love you and I miss you.

No one could ever replace such deed and love, and no one could replace his father who loved him the most.

Theo’s memories

(Theo’s POV)

For the first time in my life, I meet someone worthy of my attention the only person I acknowledge in the huge crowd. The suit that he wears that day makes him even more attractive.

“Mr. Smith, can you introduce me to that guy with the nice suit?”

“No problem”

“Mr. Evan Weaver I want you to meet Mr. Theo U—“

“Excuse me I need to answer this call”.

The moment I noticed him again at the bar didn’t make me hesitate on talking to him.

“Hey, you alone?”

“Who the hell are you?” Evan asked

“My name is Theo, What’s yours?”

When I took him to his boutique I didn’t expect that things will go further than what is on my mind.

“I don’t care if this is because I’m drunk and regret things tomorrow but I’m gonna enjoy this night with you Mr. Theo,” Evan said

“I’ll be honored to devour you Mr. Denim,” I said

Even if he went back to him in the end he still chose me and that’s already enough for me. The love he put throughout to me is the best thing I ever had, I’m thankful I met him and fell in love with him, and now I’m hoping we’ll be together one more time.

MEANWHILE

The police went to check the house, they discovered three bodies including Evan’s phone, and a burned coat and a half-burned bracelet, and lastly a handcuff.

Everything was carried out that could still be recognized. Sofia’s body cannot be recognized at all but because she’s the only woman who’s in the abandoned house the authority assumed it was her. Two male unrecognizable body was also found in the scene.

“No Daddy is still alive!!” Cris screamed

Cris cried and Theo fell on his knees crying, he can’t do anything except be strong and accept the situation but how? How could he possibly accept it when the person he can’t even save the person he loves the most?

After the laboratory examination, they found out that the handcuffs contain Evan’s DNA. The ash that was found near the handcuffs was automatically confirmed as Evan’s ashes.

Dominic and Theo held a funeral for Evan.

Dominic’s Flashback

“Dominic Mom and Dad are gone already but don’t worry, I’m here and I would never leave you okay? It’s ok just cry all you can…”

Dominic only has Evan in his life, he showed light to him in his dark days, and Evan never showed him that there is a problem or Evan had troubles.

MEANWHILE

Every acquaintance and business partner of Evan went to his funeral and so as Mark’s family and Sofia’s family, no one would have thought that such tragedy would happen. Among all the people at the funeral, the most sorrowful is Cris, he won’t speak to anyone. Theo gets worried for Cris but no matter what he does, neither Dominic they can’t do anything to make Cris talk again.

Cris even gets wound but he neither cry nor express any emotions towards everything.

He can’t help but think that everyone is cruel and cannot be trusted, he even abandoned all his friends afraid that one day, like his father he’ll die because of friendship.

3 YEARS AFTER

Cris still doesn’t speak rather he learned to use sign language for communication or he just type messages on his phone, and he also learned self-defense. Cris doesn’t have friends rather than Theo and Dominic.

“Cris, are your classes done already?” Theo asked

Cris typed a message.

“Papa Theo, How come I’m out at the gate if the classes are still on?” Cris texted

Theo just laughs at Cris.

“Let’s go we have to visit your daddy he might be lonely on his birthday I already brought cake and Dominic and Ren are already there,” Theo said

Cris just hand signals Theo with ok.

They visit Evan in the cemetery.

“Babe we are here already, and I brought cake and your favorite my D, HAHAHA just kidding babe… did you know your son did well in school and he is top 1 always, but babe did you also carry to your death Dernier’s voice can you give it back?” Theo said on the tomb

Everyone was silent then after they said their goodbyes, they went back home.

Dominic prepared the food, and serve it.

“Can I ask you the two of you it’s not like I’m asking because I’m the oldest here but Dominic I sensed lately you are more likely at the bottom of this relationship?” Theo said

Ren who’s drinking water spit out some water.

Dominic stayed calm and silent, he put some food on Dernier’s plate but avoided the plate of the two.

“Cris, you should eat more, let that two starved okay?” Dominic said to Cris

Cris just smirked and nodded, while the two put on puppy eyes, instantly Dominic gave in.

“Doc the patient has woken up”
