Chapter 13

The following morning, I opened the door to Shelby "Hey." She hugged me and held me forever "Are you okay?" I started crying, and she pulled back "Adds. What happened?" Jackson came from the room and frowned, Shelby looked at him and then at me "Oh no." She pulled me back into her arms "I'm sorry." She glanced up at Jackson; I completely broke down crying. I pulled away from her "We were having a baby. I miscarried yesterday." Her jaw dropped and frowned "You guys."

Jackson looked away and crossed his arms; Shelby grabbed a tissue from the table and handed it to me "Babe. I'm very sorry. What can I do?" Jackson came toward us "If it helps... Whatever you need Addison. If going with Shelby will help you... You don't have to stay here." I exhaled "What about you?" Shelby grabbed my hand and held it "We'll do something. Just the three of us. You both need to get out. I don't mind."
