Day and night, Sun Wukong and Thor beat the crap out of me mercilessly, no holding back, no breaks, nothing. I would simply have a moment of rest for what it took my body to regenerate limbs. Was I getting better? I had no idea… frankly getting my ass kicked to such an extent didn't feel like something particularly helpful. But they had to know what they were doing, and so I choose to believe this would help, otherwise what was the point?

As for my progress, I had yet to see any, the amount of time it took Thor or Sun Wukong to beat me was relatively always the same, I mean sometimes it took them longer because the purposely delayed my inevitable defeat by a few minutes or seconds with no particular reason.

But I suppose I had learned something, the little details in their styles and ways to tackle a problem, Thor was more straightforward, while Sun Wukong was a mix between straightforward and unpredictable, I think the reason why their styles varied was because of their personality. Thor was one to believe anything could be solved with his fists, and so did Wukong but he also believed in experimenting beyond that line.

On other news I met some of the Brazilian gods, their pantheon was quite interesting, not super strong compared to other pantheons like the Greeks, or the Norse, but they were gods alright, Tupã the was particularly an interesting individual, he dressed like an Native American in the the sixteen hundreds… or should I say Native Brazilian? Then again Brazil is part of the continent known as America… South America to be precise… well, no that it matters, the point was that unlike most Gods that changed their attire to match the times Tupã kept himself true to his origins. On the other hand Jaci did not, the Brazilian goddess of the moon was dressed in high end designer clothes, it was an unexpected contrast between them.

Both Jaci and Tupã were not very powerful, Odín, Thor and others could wipe them out, and while they were above me in the scale of power, it wasn't by much, frankly a fight between us right now could go either way. Which made me wonder, were they like this because no one believed in them anymore? Or they simply were on this level just because?

This wasn't the only question I had though, since my discovery of the Brazilian pantheon I had various questions, like… how many pantheons were out there? It was vexing the idea of encountering other pantheons out there.

"Having a good time down there?" Sun Wukong asked snapping me out of my long reverie, why was he asking that? Well…. because I was currently regenerating my legs, after the cut destroyed them with his nimbus cloud. As for the down there part… well, I was in a crater, so… yeah.

"Not much," I sighed, "But I suppose the break is nice," it was, getting your ass kicked for hours to no end was not fun, not fun at all.

[Annabeth POV]

Percy was right all along, Luke had betrayed us… and it hurt, the man I had looked up to, the man I loved… was a traitor, but that didn't matter anymore. I would stop Luke, and apologize to Adam, I was sure if I helped Percy stop Luke, the gods would give us a gift, one that both Percy and I intended to use to recover Adam, that for some reason was still kept inside of Tartarus much to Percy's anger.

And I couldn't blame him, I mean… Why were the gods still keeping Adam in there? If he was innocent… why were they keeping him in a world of suffering and despair. I just couldn't understand why… it almost felt as if they were hiding something… which made me wonder… if Adam was even in Tartarus to begin with. Because it almost felt as if they didn't release him because they didn't have him. If so… why would the gods hide that… so many questions, and for the looks of it… no real answers.

Things were simply getting worse and worse as time progressed, first the Gods fired Chiron, under the excuse they had to cut ties with everyone related to Kronos which was stupid to be honest… our entire Pantheon was related to Kronos one way or another, which made this decision utterly useless. Anyway… after they fired Chiron they hired Tantalus… which heavily made me question the rationality of our superiors.

Tantalus was a disgrace… he was a disgusting demigod king who was sent to the Fields of Punishment a long time ago for trying to feed the gods human flesh. The flesh of his own child. And yet Zeus thought it was a good idea to have him train us, it felt wrong. Why would they choose a psychopath for this job… sometimes I wonder if Luke was right… if the Gods didn't deserve the power they had, if it wasn't for the fact his plan to stop the gods was utterly ridiculous, I mean… picking Kronos? The child eating titan? Just what in the name of Tartarus was Luke thinking.

"Annabeth," Percy greeted, "Any news from your mother?" My mother, the one goddess I thought I could rely on for answers, had decided to ignore me during this ordeal, choosing not to answer any of the questions I had about Adam and his whereabouts.

"The goddess of wisdom has decided not to bless us with the answers we seek," I replied, just why now of all times would Athena choose to leave me in the dark… just why….

"Damn it!" Percy cursed, slamming his fist into the wall of my cabin in anger, "I might not be the smartest guy in the camp, but even I can see they are hiding something… heck even Tyson can see it!"

"Then if they don't give us the answer… let's find it ourselves!" I declared, I had , after all, much to atone for with Adam.
