Combat Ensues

Viola's Perspective-

A mere warden should be absolutely no issue for me. That's if I were at 100 percent power. Taking on those guards outside wore me out way more than I had led on to Veronica. The Vector Shot takes a lot out of me. I'm more worried about Veronica though. Where there's a warden there's most likely a vice warden or a 2nd in command. It would seem I have to take this guy down and hurry to Veronica's side. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if she were to die. Especially after I hyped up how much stronger she had gotten. No... I need to put my trust in her.

I immediately used a short burst of vector to close the distance between me and the Warden and with my knife in hand I used the velocity to do a swift swipe at his face. Sadly he used vector to raise his guard and his arm braces deflected the knife. This made me drop the knife. Sloppy. This isn't good.

The warden smirked and grabbed me by the wrist and began spinning me around. He then threw me into a wall. The force in which he threw me with created a massive hole in the wall and left me laying there in a pile of rubble. You could almost hear my spine vibrate. To think a mere warden could do this to me. My mouth began to taste salty. My mouth had blood dripping from the side. I wiped the blood off and got back up.

I began to use the vector to dash in different directions towards him. I kept doing so to confuse his senses. Then I dashed around him and jumped above him. Periodically dashing in to deliver blows to him. I kept doing this repeatedly but eventually he caught on and found a pattern to my strategy. As soon as I went in for another blow he side stepped and dodged. He then grabbed me by the waste and he slammed me into the floor. It left a massive crater in the floor. He then lifted me up again and tossed me back into the hole in the wall he had made prior.

"Ha what's wrong Violaaaaa!?"

"I won't make a powerful heir with you if that's all you got."

"What are you talking about?"

"You know if 2 powerful Victorians mate the offspring will be insanely powerful."

"So if me and you shack up the kids bound to be the next war chief in a couple years."

"Sounds enticing but sorry, I don't date men in uniform."

I quickly put my hands on the battery packs of the blasters on my back a I then began hand to hand combat with the warden. It was a battle of time and speed. I needed to get this battery on his armor before the vector takes in affect.

He would punch and I would react with a vector fuel kick in response. He would attempt to grapple me and I would use vector to escape his grasp. These exchanges weren't getting my anywhere and time was running out. I think my choice of words made him more aware of guarding his armor so my best option was to-

I immediately took out one of the blasters and instead of aiming for the armor covered torso I aimed for the legs. I used the strap on the blaster that's used to hoist them on my back and wrapped it around his legs. The blasters would explode merely a few seconds after. His ankles were completely blown to shreds. The power of Vector is best utilized with legs. So taking those out were more effective than going for his armor and lowering his defenses.

"YOU BASTARD ILL KILL YOU!!!"

The enraged warden charged at me using his arms to launch himself towards me. Such a slow vector burst was elementary for me to deal with. I simply side stepped and delivered a swift blow to his neck. Effectively killing him.

Now that he's dead I can head back and see how Veronica's doing. I probably shouldn't vector my way there in case she needs my help I'll need to conserve energy. I began running there at a normal pace. As I was making my way there I began thinking about what if scenarios and whether or not she'd be okay. With her eyes and her mind she should more than be able to find a way to beat this guy. She's smart and strong and determined. Good qualities to have in a battle. I hope they're good enough to win it for her.

As I was lost in thought I finished my trek to the other side of the facility. As I arrived all there was, was Veronica on the floor bloody and my father tending to her wounds. The warden beaten to a bloody pulp and Veronica's electro gauntlets completely destroyed on the floor. My mind went completely blank. Such conflicting emotions are within me right now. I know whether I should be happy or Sad. Angry or Glad. To see the bright eyed, hopeful girl that is Veronica in such a state rocked me to my very core but at the same time. The one who can complete my life's goal is standing right before me.

Before I could muster up any words my father looked at Veronica then looked at me and opened his mouth.

"It would seem you've taken a massive step to becoming the perfect warrior."
