Suspicions

The boardroom was filled with mutters of the abrupt meeting. The chief manager of the team made his presence with greetings.

He directly jumped onto the projection screens displaying letters and identical information.

" We are being tracked. Many records of the players are leaked and sent as letters. Find the traitor among us before you all get fired.

Thankfully we've got a detail that the person if female .. So I hope the person shows up before we use brutal actions.

You all are dismissed ! "

He walked out not before giving Aletta a last glance. She could've been easily suspected since the only person which such a dare could be no one else but her.

The faint whispers had grew louder now. All started looking around the female assassins in the room suspecting them.

The first thought they had in their mind was to stay away from them since there would be possibilities of being framed as an apprentice.

" Looks like someone wasn't satisfied with their work, huh ? And you better not suspect us else you are dead meat. "

Nori scoffed looking at Weber who was in deep thoughts. While Aletta tried to show less emotions on her face.

" It isn't even surprising. You know how it works here. Hook or crook you the need the player dead may it be you family. Surely the person might be done with this. "

Weber's conclusion made sense to other few whose ears were perked up. Aletta excused herself and made her way out.

She picked up her phone and gave it a deep thought before making a call.

She had avoided all type of evidences that would lead to a leak so far by conversing through letters with Norman though she doubted his actions.

It wasn't possible until the person who delivered the letters has been caught. She declined the idea of contacting Norman and went back to the base.

At Aletta's mansion, her brother Elliott gazed upon the bulletin board stuck up in her room. He never knew what her occupation was or what she liked.

Rather he was sure that work did include keeping her life on line. He took a closer look at the familiar names and pictures on the board.

He heard a knock on the door revealing the butler.

" Young Master, I've brought the details regarding the person you asked for. "

Mr. Velázquez was the only trusted butler of the Hudson Mansion. He served them from a long time ever since their parents were alive.

After their death, Elliott being the eldest took over the responsibility under his guidance.

The papers that Mr. Velázquez handed over contained the information about Norman Bates.

Even though he had his suspicions and wanted to further dig in, he restrained himself for the day when his sweet sister would do so.

" Good job, Mr. Velázquez. I believe you are continuing to keep an eye on Bates. "

" Yes, I would certainly report if he happens to meet with lady Aletta. "

Elliott nodded in agreement and resumed to take a brief look at the details.

Just then she received an order from the chief manager called out to her in discussion of the new mission.

The doors closed behind her as she entered. That wasn't anything new in the base since it was done in order for privacy of the information.

" Player X, here are the details. Read it through so that you don't delay the game this time. "

Aletta eyes filled with a sense of regret once again on seeing the papers. The player this time was an old man.

It wasn't new killing an old person yet it made her feels worthless.

" Is that true ? What you said in the meeting ? "

His steps halted at her question. He scoffed an turned back to take a look.

" Do I look like a scandalmonger, Ms. Hudson ? "

" You taught me not to judge by someone's looks . "

" Keep that in mind till I find that ' traitor ' among us."

" I'm curious what happens after that Mr. Bonneville. "

" You'll know the sooner or later Hudson. Or I'll make sure you know. "

He said pointing her and walked away. She came out to her cabin with an annoyed face.

" He's got it out on you again? " Weber asked with concern in his eyes. Surely enough Nori tagged along.

" It's as if he holds some past life grudges against you. "

Aletta laughed at Nori's comment. " It doesn't bother me anymore, Nori. "

" Well ready for your blind date tonight, Web? "

Aletta's question confused Nori. But more than confusion she had a tangled feeling in her.

Quite familiarly enough she had developed an unknown crush on Weber, which she was stubborn to accept.

" Oh yeahhhh .....! I gotta have a makeover for that. I feel damn ugly bruh ! "

" Web, you need to stop thinking that you are ugly....You are but it's ok. "

The cabin filled with series of chortle after Nori's comment. Soon enough this would be scandalous except Weber.

" But seriously, you have a date? like surely you ain't tryna brag? "

" C'mon Nori, I'm good enough for a date ! " He groaned.

" Yeah, Yeah our Weber has grown up dear lords ! "

Aletta chuckled at their argument. Nonetheless the two always lightened up her mood.

" Aight buddies, I'm out. Duty calls. Ciao peasants ! " Aletta walked away waving at them.

Her next mission had fifteen days to start within which she could look more into the issues bothering her.

Her first priority went to meet Norman. She had planned her rendezvous with Bates beforehand.

She soon reached the abandoned cathedral which was home of many gangsters in there.

Aletta spotted Bates standing near the cathedral backyard and made her way to towards him.

" Long time, Spider. " Norman lifted his hat as a sign of respect which she responded with a bow.

" Personal meets can be dangerous you know, I'm not an assassin like you. "

Aletta chuckled bitterly. " I'm ,that would be enough. Let's discuss what we are here for? "

He nodded and led her inside the cathedral making themselves comfortable.

" About the letter...How do you know about Genki's existence when the entire world believed him to be dead? "

" You really are a headache, Ms. Hudson. We agreed on helping each other with information. I don't remember talking about an interrogation here. "

Aletta was far more than being taken aback. She was prepared with the fact that he wouldn't spill the truth because this little piece of clue was hiding something more.

" Let's just say that you and me share the same goal, Hudson. You want truth and I want the veracious witness. "

" I'm not interested in whom you want. I like knowing facts not some clues that leas to nothing. "

Her obstinate side made Norman more curious to know her reaction when she would know the whole story.

" You might be interested in your parent's murderer won't you?

What if I say that Genki was the one who killed them. Would you kill him now? "
