Chapter 5 Relentless Cleanup

Li Fei emerged from the crowd with a grim face, with Tie Zhu closely following him, carrying two chopping knives.

Seeing his mother surrounded by Li Sanmao and others, her face full of fear and anger, Li Fei's fury soared to the heavens.

Liu Dabao, this ungrateful wretch, was simply pushing things too far. In the past, he couldn't deal with the likes of him, but now, with his newfound skills, he was certainly capable of making Liu Dabao pay a hefty price!

When Li Zhenyun saw Li Fei, his expression changed instantly. Fearing his son would be at a disadvantage, he immediately said:

"Fei, this is none of your business, you better leave quickly. Dad will handle this!"

Now handicapped, his son was almost the family's only hope. He couldn't let his son suffer at the hands of Liu Dabao, that beast.

"Yo, I was wondering who it would be, but it turns out to be you, Li Fei, the worthless village quack. You still threaten me, saying I won't get away with this. You're really a toad yawning—ugly and with a big mouth!"

Liu Dabao didn't take Li Fei and Tie Zhu seriously at all. Glancing at the chopping knives in Tie Zhu's hands, he sneered with disdain: "Tie Zhu, what are you doing with those chopping knives? You planning to chop me? Believe it or not, one phone call from me and you could be squatting in a cell for two years?"

Tie Zhu was not afraid of him, and said fiercely: "Threatening me? You think your grandpa Tie Zhu was born scared? Others might be afraid of you, Liu Dabao, but your grandpa Tie Zhu isn't. Piss me off and I'll chop you dead right now, believe it?"

"Tie Zhu, you've got guts!"

With a weapon in hand, and Tie Zhu being notoriously hot-headed, someone who truly dared to risk his life, Liu Dabao was wary inside. His eyes flickered with a brutal gleam, but then he revealed a smile, still waving the IOU and taunting Li Fei:

"Paying debts is basic decency. Every word on this was personally written by your mother. You're an educated person. Now that your parents are reneging on their debts, what do you have to say?"

"Liu Dabao, you beast, this IOU—"

"Mom, stop talking!"

Li Fei interrupted his visibly agitated mother, staring coldly at Liu Dabao: "You may be a beast, but we are not. If my mother wrote this IOU, then I, Li Fei, naturally acknowledge it!"

"Very well, then pay up?"

As Liu Dabao spoke, he laughed: "If you can't produce the money today, you'll have to settle the debt with your shabby house!"

Tie Zhu immediately became furious: "Fuck your mother, wanting to buy Fei's house for a hundred thousand—why the fuck don't you go rob someone? Do you have no shame at all?"

Li Fei also said coldly: "Dream on if you want my house. I'll pay you back when I have the money!"

Liu Dabao mocked: "Have the money? You, a useless village doctor, your dad a cripple, your mom sick and weak. Your whole family, even if you climbed into coffins, couldn't scrape together a hundred thousand!"

"You ungrateful beast, dare to insult my parents, you're courting death!"

Enraged, Li Fei threw a punch that landed squarely on Liu Dabao's face.

Liu Dabao cried out miserably, stumbling back several steps and, instinctively touching his nose, found it covered in blood.

"Fuck your mother, you little beast, you're asking for it!"

Liu Dabao became livid, raging at Li Sanmao and the others: "Get him for me, cripple his legs!"

"Yes, Brother Bao!"

Li Sanmao and his four men immediately lunged at Li Fei with fierce expressions!

"Fei, run!"

Li Fei's parents almost shouted in unison in their anxiety!

"Fuck, Fei, let's take them on together, chop them down!"

Tie Zhu immediately handed one of the chopping knives to Li Fei!

"No need, dealing with four pieces of trash is easy, no need for a knife. You stay out of this, just watch how I handle them!"

Without the slightest hesitation, Li Fei refused and, as his voice faded, he already sprang into action.

The movement was as fast as lightning, and the momentum was like a tiger emerging from a cage, leaving Tie Zhu staring in astonishment!

"Kid, you're looking for death!"

Li Sanmao and his three companions were also furious. They were idle troublemakers who often got into fights in town. Now, they've been slighted by a rural village doctor and were set on beating Li Fei to within an inch of his life.

Let's see if this brat dares to be arrogant again!

But the next second, they all realized something was wrong.

Li Fei's speed was just too fast. Acting later but arriving first, he threw a punch right at the face of the leader, Li Sanmao.

Li Sanmao didn't even have time to react before a sharp pain surged through his nose. He screamed miserably, rolling on the ground, covering his face, with blood seeping through his fingers.

"Brother Sanmao!"

The remaining three were startled and then, a second later, three dull thuds sounded, followed by their screams as they rolled on the ground just like Li Sanmao!

The whole process, from start to finish, took no more than three seconds, and four of the town's brawl-prone ruffians were promptly taken down by Li Fei.

Tie Zhu, standing nearby, was dumbfounded:

"Holy crap, A'Fei, you're freaking awesome!"

The villagers around, including Li Fei's parents, were also dumbstruck.

"Li Fei is usually so gentle and refined; who knew he could fight this well?"

"Yeah, has he been trained in martial arts?"

"This is too awesome!"

Many couldn't help but exclaim.

At this time, Li Fei had already approached Liu Dabao. He was half a head taller, looking down at him with contempt.

The latter's heart trembled, his face turned pale, and he couldn't help but retreat as he threatened in a blustering manner, "Li Fei, what do you want? I warn you, this is a society ruled by law. If you dare hit me again, I'll call the police and get you arrested! I'm close with the station chief in town—"

As he spoke, Li Fei grabbed Liu Dabao by the neck, lifted him with one hand, and without waiting for Liu Dabao to struggle, he tossed him aside like throwing away trash.

"Now, get lost immediately!"

Li Fei said coldly!

"You just wait!"

Liu Dabao scrambled up from the ground and ran off. After getting some distance away, he turned back and glared at Li Fei with a resentful look. Sneering venomously, he threw down those words before disappearing from the crowd's view.

Seeing this, Li Sanmao and the others scrambled to follow.
