Chapter 33

"You really want to do this?" Kendra asked as soon as she came back. She shut the door behind her.

"Yes. You don't have to come with me, though."

"I kinda do though. I have to find out what Shane's up to. It will be faster if there are two of us, but we'll have to plan everything right down to the smallest details. That will take some time." She looked at me like she was trying to assess my patience levels.

Too bad I had none. "How much time?"

"I don't know honestly. I've never planned a large-scale break-in before. I'll do some reconnaissance and surveillance and find out as much as I can about security there. I do know there aren't just security guards at Pause. There are cameras everywhere. I didn't pay much attention to security when my dad was alive because he wasn't really involved with that too much."

But how much time did Vivian have? Could she wait a little longer for her little sister to bust her out?

"What can I do to help?" I asked. "Anything. You name it."
