Job interview.

Marion's phone suddenly rang and she picked it up.

"Hello", she spoke up, sounding tired.

" Hello", am I speaking to miss Marion Hernandez?" A smooth lady's voice came through sounding polished and well trained.

"yes, this is".

" Congratulations, you and your friend Amelia Parker got the job as the salesgirl at the "Fashion Valley" mall.

"we what!?" she exclaimed loudly as she immediately sat up feeling shocked and surprised.

"you got the job you interviewed for. I was asked to inform you to report to work from tomorrow in the second half. can you both do that?" she asked politely.

"yes! yes! yes! we'll be there thank you so much for this" she exclaimed happily before the call got disconnected.

They couldn't believe this was happening. They thought they had lost their opportunities because they had requested the manager to shift their duty from morning to evening and he took a place and asked them to show themselves out in his office, but miraculously, somehow they have gotten what they'd wanted.

Fashion Valley Mall, is a huge 3 storeyed building in California. It has its branches all over the world.

FLASHBACK-

When Amelia and Marion were on their way back to the dorm in the evening, Amelia's gaze stopped at something written in the newspaper. She then asked Mr. Mabel for the newspaper at the stall.

It was an advertisement by a shopping mall named Fashion Valley, California.

-Basic software training will be provided. No experience is required.

"Let's try..." Marion suddenly said after hearing her.

"Okay, tomorrow is the holiday so let's visit this Mall", Amelia said while clicking a pic of the advertisement.

Next Day,

When they are near the mall they can see the neat and clean environment, the rigid security and exterior of the shopping mall are very attractive. In front of the building, there is a large open space, more kike a big park or a garden sighted.

The moment they stepped out of the elevator, they were greeted by a blast of cool air and the blare of music from a music shop nearby.

There were separate sections for different kinds of products. The ground floor was bright. The layout of the mall was very impressive. It was spacious and well lighted up. It occupied a lot of space decorated with different types of plants and flowers.

They headed to the room where the interview was to hold.

They were a little nervous and their palms sweaty.

They gulped down hard looking at each other.

They noticed the man sitting behind the table a few steps away from where they stood. He had his head straight and his eyes glued to the screen of a computer in front of him.

They both put on the smile they had practiced several times before reaching the mall.

They entered the cabin and stood in front of his table.

" sit", he ordered and they did as they tried to keep their nervousness in check.

"Name", he demanded

" Amelia Parker"

"and I am Marion Hernandez" they both uttered.

"When I ask questions, I need a simple answer..." Do we understand each other?" he demanded once again but this time in a very unfriendly tone.

"yes sir" they answered

"What are your qualifications?" he posed the question to them.

"uh, we are universities students but we worked as waitresses before coming to California, and we....."

"Why do you think you are capable of working here?" he interrupted Marion with another question.

" W... we are good with dealing with things and handling customers. Even we are still university students, we can handle people in a better way as we have experienced both the work of waitresses and billing sections". Amelia said confidently.

He nodded, to her answer and was busy reading their CVs.

They both can sense the manager is quite impressed with the answers. They requested to work in the evening instead of the morning as they have to attend morning classes.

BACK TO THE PRESENT-

they got really excited and Amelia immediately closed her eyes to thank God. while Marion has not believed in such things. she just ate Amelia's rest over food.

"Hey, it's mine," Amelia said pushing Marion.

After finishing the food they decided to sleep early, as they both are tired.
