"So, what do you think? Will you consider your contracted beast as your partner or as some kind of disposable?" Miss Lena asked, her expression devoid of emotion.
Her words held a hidden meaning. While she claimed not to care about how John treated his future contracted beasts, deep down, she hoped he would make the right choice.
If he didn't, there was no way she would train him, and she might even come to detest him.
"It's obvious, Miss Lena. There's no way I am treating my contracted beasts badly. How can I even think of mistreating them when they will be aiding me in my future battles?" John responded firmly with determination.
"Excellent," Miss Lena nodded her head in approval upon hearing John's response.
"If you had stated otherwise, I would have refused to take you as my disciple," said Miss Lena calmly.
John widened his eyes in surprise upon hearing her words, internally relieved that he hadn't made the wrong choice.
