I was resting against the bars at the back of the cage; my legs stretched out in front of me. I had closed my eyes after Vu'tuip and Zuhn'thian had left the cavern, and I refused to open them again. There was a sweet smell in the cavern now that it had been emptied of the males.
It was a cross between cherry blossoms and almonds, and I couldn't help the smile on my face as I breathed it in. It reminded me so much of home that, for a moment, I was actually nostalgic for a place I hated.
