Adel immediately warned Katrina after consuming the Anteater: "Please watch out for me! I'm not sure what's going on, but I believe my delayed breakthrough, on the bottleneck of the early stage of the first step from earlier, will have to erupt due to the Anteater's influence on my talent."
Katrina stared Adel in the eyes for a few seconds before nodding solemnly. She wouldn't refuse because it was the first time he asked her to do something.
As soon as Adel sat cross-legged in the mud, he transmitted his consciousness to his mind, so he could enter the door's space again when the inner doors responded for the first time...
Adel was greeted by a wild scene taking on within his door space as he entered the area.
The violet-colored door began to vibrate inside his space, causing energy from the three paths to pour into his body like crazy, and it was doing so quicker with each passing second.
Every time the violet-colored door vibrated, it was gently releasing some type of unique energy, which Adel could sense was nurturing his talent roots.
Gradually, the violet colored door stopped trembling, and just as it was about to stop shaking, he noticed a door on the interior of the violet colored door slowly unveil itself.
But before he could see anything else, Adel's eyesight blurred as he realized he couldn't see anything...
-
Adel eventually shook him up a dozen seconds later, and he could see books scattered around him, making him feel attracted to them...
He instinctively moved closer to one before touching it... He could sense a profusion of knowledge flashing over his mind...
An rapid flood of knowledge erupted in his head, telling him all he needed to know about plants and the conditions they need to exist.
It also covered the amount of years it required to mature and the conditions that allowed it to do so, as well as its utility...
Thousands more such plants appeared, and if Adel could talk right now, he'd say that he recognized each of them like they were in the back of his head... literally.
Adel was gradually experiencing severe mental exhaustion as a result of the quick rate at which his consciousness was straining to receive information into his brain...
His mind was slowly but steadily being imprinted with this information.
The mind was in a specific part of the soul that relied on the strength of the soul to support the mind's powers.
Therefore, as one goes along the soul cultivation path, their souls naturally get stronger, but their memories become much more fluid as well.
Of course, Adel had no understanding of the mind at the time, so he couldn't cultivate it. However, this would not be the case in the future...
-
After a few hours, his head was finally stuffed with information, and the book only had around two pages left to unload on his mind...
Adel sighed a breath of satisfaction as he realized he had finished processing the information....
He also learned from that knowledge that the Anteater was utilized for something else, which caused Adel to alter his plans for the next day...
He opened his eyes to find a distressed Katrina wiping his face with a handkerchief...
-
Meanwhile, after Adel began the 'absorption' process.
Katrina had no idea what was going on; Adel had only been in her clan for a day at most, and here he was already breaking through to the mid stage!?
Wasn't his cultivation speed a little too smooth? Wouldn't his foundation be ruined if he kept going at this rate?
She was worried sick for him, but she couldn't express her worries until she told him everything about her treasure and skill...
-
Adel still hasn't woken up after a few hours. Katrina was concerned, especially since he was sweating profusely...
She used the handkerchief she believed was the softest in her possession to wipe the sweat from his face every hour or so.
-
Adel opened his eyes to see Katrina gripping the handkerchief, but he quickly shoved her a meter away from him...
*BOOOM*
As Adel's bottleneck was eventually broken through, a tremendous explosion echoed throughout the area...
Massive amounts of pain filled his mind, but he only gritted his teeth, to the point where they may break the next second if he put enough force into them...
After a few minutes, the breakthrough was complete...
Katrina dashed over to Adel, who appeared exhausted from his facial expressions...
Adel's brow wrinkled slightly, as he was too fatigued from the enormous toll on his mind he'd undergone while fiercely going through the pain of the body cultivation system breakthrough and the knowledge absorption progression...
He quickly passed out. But before his head hit the ground, it dropped on Katrina's lap, where she regarded his exhausted face with a loving smile...
-
Several hours had passed.
Adel eventually awoke from his sleep. He yawned when he eventually opened his eyes, allowing his senses to return to normal.
He discovered his head in the lap of a dormant Katrina who appeared to be... dreaming?
He knitted his brows when he spotted an unflattering expression on her face.
He attempted to read her mind using mind-reading arts to determine what was going on or what her consciousness was now experiencing.
But then he frowned, unable to break through a mental barrier that had been set on her thoughts...
He did all he could to shake her out of her dreams, but it was futile.
He held her head in his lap, doing what she did for him, while he began cultivating, believing whatever was occurring to her was one of her secrets...
He couldn't sleep because neither of them was on watch, so he could only keep cultivating while keeping his guard up...
-
In the meantime, Katrina was in her dreamscape, conversing with the person that guided her through her dreams every night.
The figure looked in one way, which was the barrier that encompassed her dreamscape, and then at Katrina in front of her, before a smile emerged on her face for a fleeting second before it vanished...
-
Katrina, on the other hand, was training four times harder today since she saw how dedicated Adel was and how quickly he was progressing; she wouldn't be able to defend him if he was stronger than her, so she could only work harder than before to reach higher stages faster...
