CHAPTER 5

Roger looked at the knight that was fighting against the bandits. He observed them and it was interesting enough. Roger looked at the knight and thought about the method of fighting. It was interesting to see the knight fighting against the bandits. Roger looked at the knights and decided to help them. He took a sword and accelerated and kill each one of them. They were cut down easily. He took a spear and with a single shot killed hundred people together by destroying the area. Roger looked at the knights and stood there on his horse. Roger looked at the knights and asked, "Are you interested in working for me?"

The knight asked, "Can you teach me how to do to be so strong?"

Roger looked at them and said, "I can give you the power temporarily. It can be extended for life but I will not be doing so. I have no interest in such things. But I can give you unlimited meat and egg to be eaten as long you eat there alone. I can also give you ten gold coins per month."

The knight asked," How can we believe you?"

Roger said, "It is not like you can leave my service."

The knight said, "We will not dismiss our oath."

Roger thought and said, "I can promise in the name of lord that I will give you one kg of meat per day for food. The gold coins remains the same."

The knight said, "Sure. What is your rank?"

Roger said, "I am a baron."

The knight asked, "Can you really give so much."

Roger said, "I became a boron through my power."

The knight said, "Can we discuss about it?"

Roger said, "Sure."

The knights went to the side and kept discussing about the problem. Roger looked at them and let them discuss it. After some time the older one came and said, "We are interested in serving you my lord. Can we all be under you?"

Roger said, "Sure."

The three of them bowed and said their vows. Roger looked at them and accepted under him. He decided to let their coat of arms be replaced by the coat of arms under him. Roger looked at them and asked them to go to the castle. It would be better to have more knights and it would be better to train a lot of them. He thought about mass producing the knights. As long as they were ready to teach them and he was interested in training them, he could do so. The problem with having to teach and train the knights was the lack of food due to low productivity, lack of teachers due to accumulation problem and the limited number of positions. As long as he continues in his manner and makes a lot of food and train many peasants into knights, they will have no choice but to be under him. He went inside the castle and returned to his study. He was called by the maid that the food was ready. Roger went to the dining hall to find more food to eat and ate the food. Roger ate the food and was happy to have more food. He ate the well-cooked food and allowed Henry to eat with him. He looked at henry and spoke, "How many knights can you train?" 

Roger thought about how he had created barriers around the land. It was interesting to find that the speed realm could separate different parts. The different regions with different speeds would make it such that no biological being can enter with a partial part of their body being accelerated. Also with the power of speed, he had awakened a new power to create a barrier.

Roger looked at Henry to let him answer and he said, "I can train up to five knights at a time. But I will not be able to manage while training the soldiers."

Roger looked at him and asked, "Is there a way to train a hundred knights in one batch if you teach them in a batch."

Henry frowned and said, "The basic things can indeed be taught in that manner. The biggest thing to be done is to make them learn their own swordsmanship and have a lot of experience. Without one on one training it cannot be done. Even if we teach them like in the knight schools, they will have to be trained one on one for at least two years. A talented one may not need any training at all and there are a few who has become apprentice knights by training and has gone to find their own method of fighting."

Roger said, "After the war, we will training knights in batches. The basic training will be done by one or two knight and the specialized training will be done by the knights bought by me."

Henry asked, "How many are you going to train?"

Roger said, "As many as possible."

Henry said, "It is useless."

Roger said, "That is true."

Roger knew that even if he gave them full freedom and let them only concentrate on the training, it will take at least five years. If it was possible to be trained within a year, he could start infinite nesting as food wouldn't be much problematic for him. He could let the knight train more knights and turn the society upside down. The problem remains the same. He could only let them be trained as soldiers. He thought about letting them remain as permanent soldiers and also training the women in case someone comes here to invade the land. Roger looked at Henry and asked, "Try to get as much soldiers as possible. Tell them the promise that they will be made permanent soldiers and will be given 5 silver per day for the basic soldier and the food enough for four people. I would also like the women to be trained so that if there comes some invasion here, they can fight back."

Henry asked, "That is too troublesome."

Roger said, "True. But the good name is something that would be good."

Henry asked, "How many to train?"

Roger said, "As much as possible without losing the quality."

Henry asked, "Will the other knights be training the soldiers here too? They cannot be believed unless you let them make the oath."

Roger laughed and said, "No body in this world can be believed. The reason I am not afraid is simple. It takes a lot of money to train the knights but it will take more to maintain them. Not to mention the money needed for the herbs and the apothecary, they will also need money for socializing, their families and maintain their weapons. The stronger lords would not believe outsider knights and the weaker lords cannot afford them. Even if you rebel, what can you do? I could just let you be a knight and give you some more gold coins to stay here but I do not do such things here. I give you freedom and power. I share my secrets with you. You are the one I have faith in but what I aim for is not to just live a happy life, I will rise to the top as much as possible and you should understand. All my friends will become my weakness and I will have no interest in saving you if you are caught and asked by me to surrender. I will just directly kill you and take revenge for you. If you cannot accept it, remember as you came under me, only the stron can stay with the strong as the weak will be killed by the world and his actions in not much time."

Henry really cared for the lord he had pledged allegiance to. He had got out of his house and he was the only one who came to redeem him. The only thing left is to have some alliance and he knew that he could help his lord in that by letting his lord marry some lady from a bigger house. Roger looked at Henry and said, "Try to train as much soldiers as possible. If possible, try to bring some elite soldiers who has survived much longer. They can be used to train more soldiers. They can be the retired ones with some disabilities or old age. They can be paid five gold per month."

Henry asked, "Is it necessary?"

Roger said, "What is power?"

Henry said, "The ability to command."

Roger laughed out loud as he was really amused. Roger looked at him and decided to teach him the truth,
