Chapter 19

Decades had passed with no sign of anything going wrong, Bloodshed was free to do whatever he pleased to but still bound to his destiny he looked far and wide making sure nothing was left of the soul searchers or Arisen and there was nothing at all left. Bloodshed finally knew peace was restored at what he felt like was the cost of his soul, that too seemed to still be there regardless of all the death and destruction that was needed to stop the new world from turning into the old world where corruption ran amok and no one was truly safe save those whose pockets were bountiful. That was the purpose of Bloodshed's mission to rid the world of that corruption. Though over time the world seemed to be finally peaceful Bloodshed felt something. His soul searching ability was strong within him now after so many years of practice. He heard and saw the 5 souls that Pirouette had not yet had in the collection of souls, something so rare that Bloodshed wasn't sure he felt the presence correctly. Unsure of what to do he stalked these people who possessed the powers that were actually good. He saw the wonders that they did and questioned if he should take them out or leave them to do what they would normally do. Something was amiss about the people with these powers. Bloodshed decided that he needed to rid the world of them before they gained control and destroyed everything he stood for. "I need to stop them, they are still Arisen and it is my duty to rid the world of them." Bloodshed said. He left nothing to chance anymore not after all that he lost. The only problem was that these people had connections to the other people unlike normal Arisen or Soul Searchers. Taking them out would mean becoming a fugitive of the Blood Ruby Nation if he got caught. It was a price he was willing to pay for peace. Bloodshed gathered his weapons and headed towards his first victims home, nothing was going to stop him now. He reached the first house and snuck in through a loose window and looked around hesitantly. "I remember seeing your work on the news" said a strange voice, low but sinister to Bloodshed. He turned around and there was a man and 4 other people gathered around in a circle as if ready to pounce like a pack of wolves. "Seems like we've got us a legend on our hands here guys." Said one of the other 4 people gathered around. They all focused on me and I was wrapped in the five colors representing each soul. Pink for True love, blue for humility, orange for loyalty, brown for selflessness, yellow for forgiveness. I was paralyzed completely and tried to reach out to grab anything to ground myself and gather strength to get up, but before I could my arm was stepped on. "We found someone who made us an archive sanctum of our own to possess the powers that used to be for the Soul Searchers only." The man stepped on my arm harder and I winced in pain but said nothing. Whoever was behind this knew to gather these 5 people together to come after me and I had to know who it was to really end this. But to know that I only needed one of them alive; I was focusing my attention to see who the weakest link was to get information about my enemy. I saw one young man shift uneasily and his thoughts were not completely on me he was focused on the woman of the group. I laid there and a red smoke blanketed the room, they were stunned for a second and I slid out of the restraining colors and disappeared from their sight. I came from behind each one of them and cut them down to their knees and held them there then let the smoke clear. I looked at each of them in turn and then told them, "I am the last of the Soul Searchers, and I will not die until my work is done." I reached my left hand out and started to exsanguinate the blood from all but the young man and woman he loved and something else happened, their spirit started to drain out of them as well. All the colors of their spirit enveloped me and I felt the power they had course through me and all that was left of the 3 people I had drained of blood and spirit was a lifeless carcass. The ones I kept alive no longer posed a threat to me since I drained them of their powerDecades had passed with no sign of anything going wrong, Bloodshed was free to do whatever he pleased to but still bound to his destiny he looked far and wide making sure nothing was left of the soul searchers or Arisen and there was nothing at all left. Luckily I learned how to drain people of their spirit as I trained my soul searching ability more. If you promise to lead me to the one who gave you these powers I'll let you live. If you don't I'll kill both of you for making me search the whole friggin' Blood Ruby Nation for one person." They both looked at me as if they didn't believe that I would harm them and then I gave them a lingering deathly stare. "Don't take my mercy as weakness, I have nothing but time I will kill you and search high and low if I have to." They looked at each other and reluctantly agreed to take me to the one who sent them after me. Whoever they were they knew that the souls they gave power to were rare. Bloodshed paused for a second and said, "I'm going somewhere and I'm taking you both with me." We traveled on and ended up at the EndGame Battlegrounds where I started at. "What is this place?" The man asked. I looked up at the building that held so many good and bad memories that made me the way I was now, to think at one point I was once just a simple everyday person like everyone else, hoping to have a normal life; changed into a killer for all the right reasons even though it felt wrong. "This is where I found who I was and why I'm here. The only place that gave me hope after losing everything. The Endgame Battlegrounds of Claret." I ran inside and put the two of them in a red ball and chain getup and they had red prison outfits on too for the finishing touch. "There! Now stay where you are while I go get what I need. They scowled and glowered at me while I walked inside nonchalantly. I reached the Final Archive and my lips parted to reveal a sharp toothed smile as I started to take all the soul essence for my own. I left the Final Archive and fired my gun at a red barrel I made and it exploded violently taking down the last chance of any new Soul Searcher or Arisen from coming to existence. I returned to my captives who still looked angry at me and I greeted them feigning friendliness to get a rise out of them, "Hey guys, how's it hangin'? I knew you wouldn't leave without me." I smiled and let them out of their miniature prison getup and they lunged towards me and I dodged to one side effortlessly and they landed straight in the sand. "Now that I'm out let's keep going." I had them give me directions to where we needed to go with a bit of grumbling and complaining naturally until finally we arrived.s.
