Overlord: Flavor Text

I may abuse the flavor text a bit I will try to keep it to a minimum but there’s just too much potential with it I mean come on!!. All credits to the author of overlord I only own the oc and perhaps the alternate universe. I will try to if there is any explain certain plot holes in the story and if I don’t please use your imagination. Inspired by the overlord:madness in overlord. DISCLAIMER: I might make it super dark I’ll try to add wholesome things in there once in a while.

Year 2127

First POV

"It's been a year since me and Touch Me embarked on our epic quest to bring justice to those in need." And, to be honest, it's going great; when Touch Me is unavailable, I've developed a hobby of delivering justice on my own. It's safe to say he has had an impact on me.

But when he's not online, the boredom is unbearable. I've already gotten to level 100. I've tried using external items to boost my stats, but the difference is minimal at best. Pvp is too boring; players have come to hunt me several times, but they never last long enough for me to unwind. I only have fun when I'm playing with Touch Me. But he's not always online. When he is, we play for hours until one of us is too exhausted to continue. We haven't met any of the other members of Ainz Ooal Gown yet, but I imagine we'll start meeting them once Touch Me gets his platinum armor. But he hasn't gotten it yet. I've been itching to do something big, and he's the only one who can calm me down, but even so, I'm counting the seconds until the real plot of the story begins.

'This isn't the time,' I thought. My boredom was at its peak on days like these. Touch Me wasn't online, and I wasn't in the mood to help those in need today. I was currently wandering through Nilfheim's frozen forest, looking for something to fight. Basically anything to kill. But, as I walk these frozen paths, I've noticed something: it's far too quiet. That would normally be a good thing, but given that I'm supposed to be in the most densely populated monster territory in Niflheim, it shouldn't be this empty…

I came to a halt at the bottom of an ice canyon. It was unobtrusive and out of sight. If I had been looking for it, I would not have found it, so 'how did I find it?'. It was clearly an important area that needed to be explored... My insatiable curiosity got the best of me. I walked into the canyon with a spring in my step, eager to discover something new.

[Blessing of Titania] A 9th tier spell that summoned a tiny fairy. The fairy queen, to be exact. She would take whoever summoned her down the least dangerous path. At least, that's what she's supposed to do.

The fairy queen hesitated. It was subtle enough that if you weren't paying attention, you wouldn't notice it. She didn't appear to be hesitating, but she was. I kept following her, albeit with more caution than before. She was a spell that was only meant to do one thing, and if she was hesitant, something was clearly wrong.

We finally came to a halt after another fifteen minutes of walking. She left me in front of what appeared to be a dead end, and before she vanished into light particles, she looked at me as if I were a dead man. My eyes widened in surprise.

'We'll gee thanks a lot,' I joked. I had no idea NPCs could make expressions like that. She reminded me of one of the doctors who told me I'd die.

I moved forward to investigate the dead end that the fairy queen had left me in. Massive mistake. When my foot strayed from its original position. The entire canyon resounded with a loud cracking sound, followed by web-like cracks forming at the base of my feet.

I tried to put my foot back on the ground, but it had the opposite effect. As I moved even slightly, cracks in the ice rippled. I set my foot down again, sacrificing a little more of the canyon's integrity in the hopes that it wouldn't collapse.

'Whew,' I sighed tiredly. That appeared to be the end of it.

'Fuck it, high stakes, high rewards.'

I took another large step forward, and the ice seemed to crack even more. The ice, unable to hold its once-sturdy foundation together, cried out for help as a loud crack resounded.

"Shit!!"

I apologize for the short chapter; I'm experiencing writer's block.
