Ash nodded in satisfaction as the magic spell creation was completed successfully. With a swift motion, he invoked the spell, and Mercedes observed a small circle appearing before her eyes. Moments later, the lockbox began to open on its own, a proof to the effectiveness of Ash's newly created spell.

"you create a spell in such small amount of time" Mercedes amazing voice reached his ears and Ash smiled and said " where's my reward?" 

Mercedes smiled and kissed him.

"now let's see what's inside" Mercedes said and Ash nodded and opened the box.

There was a small book in the storage box.

 It was someone's diary. The first few chapters were filled with crooked letters like a child had written it.

Summer, Year 259 of the Kingdom.

I met a child who looked exactly like me in the forest on the way out of the village.

The person said hello! I also smiled and greeted the child.

"Year 259..."

"146 years ago."

It was a diary from a long time ago. It was remarkably well preserved without anything being erased.....

It described the life story of a child named, Wendy, she befriended a Doppelganger and named it Randy.

Ash and Mercedes kept reading it was beautiful story until Wendy caught the attention of Lord of reidan, and then the misery begin.

Randy then defended Wendy by defeating the soldiers who came to take Wendy, with each soldier he defeated the more stronger he grew.

Winter, Year 271 of the Kingdom.

Randy continued to fight for the last few months. The lord hired mercenaries after the army couldn't defeat Randy.

Randy warned me when I visited him.

"Don't come here anymore. Wendy should stay with your dad."

"Aren't we friends? Why are you rejecting me?"

I asked him and Randy explained.

"I'm able to easily kill humans. And Wendy is a human. I... I'm scared."

Randy looked lonely. My heart hurts.

 One day the Lord captured Wendy's father, and to protect her father and innocent Randy who got covered in blood to protect her , Wendy leaved the house and went to Lord, She became his concubine.

Summer, Year 286 of the Kingdom.

The lord abandoned me.

My soul and body that have become rags have finally found freedom.

The Mysterious Forest that I hadn't returned to in 13 years.

As Ash picked the hammer, notifications flashed and then various marks appeared on the black puddle. They were swiftly changing positions. Ash took a breath and then concentrated and started hammering, hitting the red dots accurately, which later flashed green if hit properly and yellow if he deviated slightly.

Fortunately, there were no red lights, which meant failure. Soon, Ash got the hang of it due to his overwhelming talent, and all the marks started flashing bright green.
