Aiden: Zzz...Zzz...
Michael: Uhm, Crysta, and Akeru can you guys go first, let Aiden get a little sleep.
Akeru: We'll try our best to hold back Mister brightfil long enough so Aiden can get some rest.
Aiden, (Muttering): Mmm...best...brother ever...
Crysta: Let's go Akeru.
Akeru: Right!
Crysta: You'll need a weapon. [Ice Magic: Creation]
She made him a blunt Ice sword.
Crysta: Here you go.
Akeru: Thank you.
Richard: Are you ready?
Crysta: I want to tell him one last thing before we start, can I?
Richard: You may.
Crysta and Akeru discussed strategy for 20 minutes.
Crysta: Do you understand what you're supposed to do?
Akeru: Yes...but I just hope I'm fast enough to keep up.
Crysta: You'll be fine, just follow the plan accordingly. Dad, we're ready.
Richard: Then come. Hmm...Wait for the way to win this is one of you landing a hit on me and for me to win I'll have to touch you both foreheads.
Crysta: "One hit" You must be looking down on us!
She dashed at him.
Crysta's POV
Ice magic: Icy fog.
A cold thick fog covered the environment.
Richard smiled.
Richard: Blinding me, huh? Great tactic.
Crysta ran around within the fog shooting Icicles at him but he kept dodging.
Crysta's POV
He keeps moving too much, I'll limit his movements.[Ice Magic: Cave-in]
She created a giant dome of ice that trapped Richard.
Crysta's POV
I'll fill the inside with fog and shoot blunt Icicles at him at least one would hit and I won't have to use my other plan.
[Ice control: Ice fog] [Ice magic:Rapid fire]
In the dome, magic circles appeared, and shot Richard was shot by tiny Icicles but he didn't look flustered instead dodged them all effortlessly.
Richard: Well, I better not just be standing here, I'll have to attack back.
Richard: [Fire magic: Heat radiation]
He emitted a temperature so hot the Icicles shards melted away before they could even touch him and the dome began to melt.
Richard: I'd better get rid of this fog as well.
He stretched out his hand.
Richard: Wind magic...
A mighty wind blew the fog away.
When the fog dispersed Crysta was in front of him with Ice knuckles on her fist, she attempted to punch him.
Richard: Woah!
He dodged the punch.
Richard: Smart girl, utilizing such a little amount of time to your advantage. So you couldn't beat me with magic now you're resorting to physical assaults.
Crysta threw a punch but he dodged, she skillfully kept attacking him with styles similar to kung-fu, but he dodged every one of her attacks, he tried to touch her forehead but she would weave it and try to land a hit on him. This went on for a few minutes but then it began to pick up in speed.
Akeru: S-so fast I can't keep up, I can't even see their movements anymore.
Seconds later Crysta got pushed out of the fight and slid back to Akeru.
Crysta: *Panting* Phew, I'm alright.
Richard: You're fast Crysty, you moving over there, I don't suppose you're giving up?
Crysta: Unlikely, and don't call me, Crysty, I-Its embarrassing.
Richard: Even if you've changed you're still my adorable little Ice princess.
Crysta looked away.
Crysta: Flattery won't get you anywhere, dad.
She faced back with a serious look.
Crysta: Akeru...?
Akeru: Yeah?
Crysta: It's time. Get ready.
Richard: Hm? What are they saying? I can't hear them, they are over 20 meters away.
Crystal's POV
Ice Creation: Archery set.
She made a bow and arrow made out of Ice and Aimed it at her father.
Richard: A little dangerous but I'll allow it.
Crysta Shot the arrow at him, It moved in the blink of an eye.
Crysta: Multiply!
The one arrow split into ten.
Richard: It's fast but avoidable.
Richard's legs were frozen to the ground.
Richard: Hm? Seems like she can shoot some spells from her already-launched attack.
Crysta ran and caught up with her arrows which were still in mid-flight.
Richard's POV
She's trying to make me avoid one and get hit by the other...Smart indeed.
But...
He phased his legs through Ice, melted Crysta's arrows then caught her arm.
Richard: Gatcha.
Crysta:Now Akeru!
Richard: Huh?
Akeru was behind Richard during the whole ordeal Crysta was dragging attention away from him so that she can create an opening and attack Richard from behind, Akeru's presence couldn't be felt because he didn't have a magic signature so Richard locked on to him.
Akeru: I'm sorry about this but we have to win.
Crysta froze her dad's hand to hers then froze his leg to the ground again so he wouldn't escape and Akeru shot the arrow.
Millimeters before the arrow could hit him he smiled.
Richard POV
Humph, she is a smart girl, I expected a well-thought-out plan from her, and this is within expectations... but... she still isn't the one I'm hoping for, I'll end this quickly.
He spun and broke out of his leg trap, caught the arrow behind him, melted the hand trap made by Crysta, and threw her toward Akeru.
Akeru: Oof..!
They were about to crash into a tree but he turned it into a big fluff pillow.
Akeru: Ahhh...so soft.
He sighed.
Richard walked towards them and touched their foreheads.
Richard: Hehe, looks like I win.
Crysta: Tch!
Richard: Don't look so down, You both put in such a great effort, next time maybe think outside the box, something unexpected to throw your opponent off, being tactical is great but what if an enemy can read minds? Then what? You'll think of another plan that they'll steal again and use against you.
Crysta: *Sigh* Whatever.
Richard: And as for you Akeru, take some initiative, you could have backed up Crysta in some way other than standing there and waiting, you're a good swordsman don't let that go to waste because of indecisiveness and slow reactions.
Akeru: Y-Yes sir, I'm...sorry.
He lowered his head.
Richard walked to him and patted his head.
Richard: There's nothing to be sorry about, it just means you have room for improvement, just keep training you'll get over your weaknesses.
He smiled.
Akeru raised his head.
Akeru: Yes, Sir!
He stood up.
Richard: Now then, it's time for my other son's turn.
In the distance he sees Micheal shaking Aiden to wake up.
Richard: *Sigh* Aiden...
He walked toward them...
