Other Worldly Community

Being transmigrated definitely isn't what I would expect, not only that I was transmigrated but also in the body of one of the main supporting cast of Frieren Stark! As if it wasn't terrible already! In the very first day of this world I met the little psychopath Ūbel! Thankfully I have the community to save me from being bisected, so let me show my other worldly life!

Jack Of All Trades

The meal definitely felt awkward, well the least for me, however it didn't stop me from eating like a starved man.

Honestly the meal itself was kind of bland, it had no taste and felt like i'm eating some sort of chewy water, but it was enough to fill my stomach. I definitely wasn't complaining.

Because I'm so hungry the taste hardly matters to me, what is important is that I'm eating nutrients.

Either way, I'm pretty sure this stew didn't have any salt, I'm guessing that it's rare in this world considering it is still in its middle age.

Meaning salt is valuable, and only nobles and rich merchants can't afford to have them.

It makes me wonder if I could introduce the modern technique of getting salt. While I may not be knowledgeable in agriculture, I do know basic things like how to make salt.

While its value would decrease overtime, I would still get a lot of money due to high demand.

While I was scheming how to get rich, I noticed that Ūbel was staring at me with interest.

I couldn't help but feel conscious, why is this little psycho looking at me? I get that I'm a guest and is probably interesting to her.

However there's something about her stare that makes me feel uncomfortable, it's like she's mentally bisecting me in her mind.

"What is it?" I couldn't take it anymore and decided to confront this girl. It's better to be blunt than to act like a little bitch, for goodness sake she's younger than me, at least mentally.

Being scared of a little girl is very pathetic even for me. While I admit I'm scared of her adult-self, there's no way I'm afraid of this girl.

"You're strange."

I wasn't sure what she meant by that, however I'm curious why I'm strange to her. "Why is that?"

The girl thought for a while before answering. "Most kids' re scared of me, but you're not."

Oh, that makes sense considering how dead her eyes are, yeah totally could see some children being scared of her.

It wasn't just her eyes being dead either, her face meshed perfectly with her low-eyes creating a creepy child image to anyone who sees her.

I definitely don't want to meet her in some dark alley somewhere.

"Oh, why would I be scared of you? I have no reason to be so." At least not yet.

Ūbel made a thoughtful look after hearing, I'm not what she's thinking but hopefully she won't bother me for a while.

After I finished my third bowl, finally I'm full and later asked some questions by Ūriel to which I answered.

"So why is a kid like you in the middle of the forest?"

"The tribe I'm part of was attacked by demons and was told to run away as my family fought the demons."

Or at least that's the story of the boy I'm currently inhabiting.

After hearing that sob story, Ūriel looked at me with pity and understanding after all Stark's story is pretty common in this world.

Then Ūriel asked if I have other family aside from my clan, to which I searched at Stark's memory but unfortunately the kid's only family was the one who was attacked by demons.

"No, I don't have any family aside from my clan's."

Ūriel felt more pity for me. "That's terrible…you lost your entire family.. but at least I have my sister with me."

I blinked at those unexpected words. "You don't have any parents? Ūriel-neesan..?"

I said the last word as an afterthought, it would definitely take me a while to get used to it.

It felt weird to call someone younger than you big sister.

Ūriel made a look sad expression, and replied. "That's right, like you my parents were killed by demons, leaving my sister and I orphans, thankfully my mother's friend was kind enough to give me a job as a seamstress making some money for us to live."

I didn't know this, however it made sense since not everything was revealed in the story and since Ūbel background wasn't exactly important as the main cast, she only has a bit of information about herself.

Suddenly Ūriel said something that really surprised me. "Say, if you want to, you can live here with us."

It completely took me by surprise, I mean while I did plan to ask her if I could stay here even for a few days since I literally have nothing right now, and hoping that to appease her goodwill to let me stay for a while so that I could plan what to do next.

However, her offer was something I never predicted. I get that she's kind, but to offer me to live with her after hearing my story is a little ridiculous.

"Why? I mean I'm thankful for the offer but aren't I just a stranger to you? You literally just met me and you're already trusting me? I could be a danger to you and your little sister." I'm a little suspicious by her sudden offer, it's only normal to feel that way unless of course you're stupid.

Ūriel stared at me and answer. "Are you a danger to us?"

"No." I answered without hesitation, it's only natural, there's literally no point harming them and besides even if I did there's no way I could I'm too weak not to mention Ūbel is scary if she wanted revenge.

"Then that's it." Ūriel smiled at me.

I can't believe this woman, then I started at Ūbel and said. "What about your sister, what if she doesn't want to-"

"I don't mind."

I was cut-off by Ūbel's words, I stared at her for a moment before letting out a sigh, at this point trying to find an excuse is stupid.

There's nothing I could do except refuse or accept the offer, however I'm in a position where I can't really reject this offer, so I decided to accept it, despite how suspicious it may be.

I don't have the luxury to do so, if something comes up I could take care of that in the future for now I'm going to prioritize my survival rather than being overly suspicious and paranoid.

"If you're fine with me staying with you then…I accept."

Ūriel beamed at my answer, satisfied with how I accepted it, meanwhile Ūbel has a slight smile indicating that she was pleased with my decision.

Geez, what's with this family readily accepting a stranger to live with them?

Is this family unique or perhaps it's normal to be this accommodating in this world?

Honestly, I don't want to know, for now I'm going to play along.

After I accepted the offer, immediately Ūriel brought me to a shop, apparently it was the place where she works.

Then she started to measure my size so that she could make some clothes for me, which was really kind of her. She knew that I didn't have anything after I escaped from the tribe, that's why she decided to make clothes for me.

After she finished measuring me, she started working with my clothes making me wait. Either way this is a perfect time for me to check that mail.

I wasn't sure how to open it, should I do it mentally or physically?

Either way, let's try with mentally because it's the safest as I tried to mentally open the mail icon at the corner of my eyes, but I was unsuccessful.

It would seem that I have to physically move my finger to open it, and as I did a blue screen popped in front of me almost making me fall from the chair.

Thankfully I managed to balance my body, avoiding dropping in the floor

"That was close..! Anyway, let's see…"

[ Congratulations! You are now part of the 'Other Worldly Community'! Please check the guidelines for further questions! ]

What the heck is this..?

As stated in the notification I immediately read the guidelines.

[ Welcome to the 'Other Worldly Community' it means that your either a transmigration or a reincarnation to be qualified. ]

Okay, that's a good start I think? But it's good to know that my situation isn't that unique.

[ And for those who isn't aware that means you're dead, as it's to only way for you to get transmigrated or reincarnated. ]

Wait, so I died? Okay, that was quite new I'm not sure how to take it.

[ Besides that, as a part of the community you should be aware of its rules which aren't much but simple.

Rule 1. Don't let anyone know the existence of the community except its members or else there would be consequences.

Rule 2. No exploiting, hacking or scamming anyone within the community or else you'll be permanently banned.

Rule 3. No killing other community members unless you received a special permit. ]

It's true, it isn't really much in fact it's too lax, this rule literally gives the community members a lot of freedom.

Anyway, it isn't really my problem and since I don't have a problem with following the rules I'm really afraid of breaking any of them.

I continued to read the guidelines.

[ Now that you know the 3 golden rules, it's time for you to know the features of the community. First and foremost the Karma Points or KP is a vital need in the community as it is used as a currency for buying, trading and hiring. There's very little you can't do with it. ]

So this is the currency of this community, I wonder if I have some of it.

[ Of course, as the main currency of the community you'll receive some after joining, as for how much you'll receive it depends on your life achievements in your previous life. To claim the KP you need to go the achievement list to claim it. ]

Immediately I took a look at my achievements.

[ Achievement - Being Born 10+ KP ]

[ Achievement - Reaching 1 Year Of Age 0.5+ KP ]

[ Achievement - Reaching 2 Years Of Age 0.5+ KP ]

[ Achievement - Reaching 3 Years—

Okay this achievement list is a little ridiculous, either way I don't really have any noteworthy achievement aside from the fact that I was born.

It has the highest KP claim, and the lowest is basically 0.1 KP.

Anyway overall my total KP is 50.8, I'm not sure if it's a lot but I have a feeling despite it's a small sum it would be worth a lot.

Anyway I continue to read the guidelines.

[ There's 4 main features of the community. Market where you can buy almost anything with the right amount of price. The Hub where the community members can talk and meet with each other. Quest where you accept a request from another community member or the community itself. Achievement where you can get some KP and title for achieving something significant in your world or outside of it. ]

After that there aren't many things that are significant in the guidelines, so I decided to check the market of the community and to be honest it didn't disappoint.

There's numerous categories of anything, ranging from small products to literal universes.

"I know that the guidelines say that you can buy almost everything here, but to think you can even buy an entire universe of your own? Not to mention there's literally something selling a product that could make you an omnipotent god. That's literally 'anything' at this point I'm almost afraid of knowing what you can't buy here." Despite seeing some truly ridiculous things in the market, I couldn't afford the majority of it.

Anyway I should check the things that I could afford to buy with the KP I have.

Thankfully the market is like some shopping online I've come across, as I could put a minimum and maximum budget at will.

First put the lowest price possible which is surprising not 1 KP but 0.1, which means even a single point is valuable.

Man, there's really a lot of items and even a skill that cost 0.1 although they're mostly useful though for example.

[ Spoon Of Uselessness (Item)

Description - Will break after being used.

Rarity - Trash

-Price 0.1 KP. ]

[ Glasses Of Blindness (Item)

Description - Once used it will completely blind the user.

Rarity - Trash

-Price 0.1 KP. ]

And many more similar things like this, even the rarity says it's trash, however there's actually some useful things at least in my perspective.

[ Silent Fart (Skill)

Description - A skill that lets you silently fart.

Rarity - Trash

-Price 0.1 KP. ]

[ Penny Finder (Item)

Description - An item that let's find your missing penny no matter how long you lost it.

Rarity - Trash

-Price 0.1 KP. ]

There's even a portable toilet in the list! Honestly I'm very tempted to buy it right here and now, however I'm worried if buying it would cause this portable toilet to suddenly appear out of thin air.

Which I couldn't risk because of rule 1, I don't know what consequences I would face after that but I hope I'll never find out in this life.

Right now, the things I could actually buy without any trouble is either a small item or a skill.

There's also talent.

To be honest if I was in a dire situation I would have immediately chosen either a useful item or a skill.

Because they're ready to use anytime, however there's a major flaw to this, the item could only be used a limited amount of times while the skill couldn't be improved unless you buy a better version of it.

No matter what you do it's impossible for you to improve a skill as it is already determined by the limit of it.

Or at least it was according to the descriptions.

However in the talent category, there's no such thing. It doesn't have a limited amount of use and you can improve the skills you learned from your talent.

That's why I'm buying talent, just how amazing is this place? Not only could I buy physical things but also innate talents.

Basically everything here is a fair game as long you have the right price.

After searching for a while I've come across a talent that needed to survive in this world, to be honest I thought it would be more expensive considering the potential of this talent, however I'm definitely not complaining.

[ Jack Of All Trades (Talent)

Description - What will take others several days to learn you'll learn in one day.

Rarity - Uncommon.

-Price 50 KP. ]

Such a straightforward description, even an idiot would understand the potential of this talent, even if it's uncommon its future potential is simply immeasurable.

After that I bought it.

Author Notes: Should I put a status list?

Anyway! I'll frequently update within these few days until I get to 15k words and then starting from that point I'll only update one chapter daily unless of course I do a ranking poll.
