20. The Prisoner

"I-I, I..." The man in front of Amira was still dumb. He failed to mention who told him to harm Princess Amira. Amira and Rashid were still waiting patiently. They were still looking at the inmates who tried to divulge the secret about the person who was after Amira's life.

"Say don't be afraid! I won't harm anyone. Even if you say A did it, I won't attack A at all.'

"Mr Pamularsih, Sir"

Rashid and Amira frowned. They do not understand who Pamularsih is. The person who was just mentioned was his captive male.

"Who is Pamularsih?"

"He-he, he is the son of His Majesty Sultan Adyaksa, Sultan Sepuh who is now no longer a leader. Mr. Pamularsih lives in area X, far from the palace. His life is very simple and pathetic. recognize him as a child."

Amira gritted her teeth hearing that her grandfather had a child from another abandoned woman. Rashid who saw Amira's emotions immediately held her hand, giving strength so that Amira would not easily accept stories from people she had just met easily.

"It could be that he's just making up stories so you can be provoked and end up committing crimes you shouldn't have committed. Be patient! Don't be too hasty in making decisions."

Amira nodded. She took a deep breath to ease her nervousness. She still hopes that her father remains the only child who has the right to inherit the throne from her grandfather. There are no other descendants, let alone the descendants of women who are not known to the palace.

"Where does he live?"

The man in front of Amira smiled seeing Amira's expression. He looked at the beautiful face in front of him for a moment, then shook his head. not because he didn't believe that it was Rashid and Amira who promised to help his family. He did it because he was also playing his part. Protect himself.

"Don't try to trick us. You'll be safe if you obey our orders. But once you betray, don't expect any mercy for a criminal like you."

The man shook his head.

"I don't want to trick you at all, Princess. I'm just being wary. Who knows, Princess and Master will trick me."

Rashid grabbed the man's collar and threw him hard on the floor of the carriage they were riding.

"Don't try to play with us. My sister and I are not people who break promises easily, let alone just to save the family of people who have threatened our safety. You should know that. How is Princess Amira every day? Princess never shows her identity and identity , why do you doubt it?"

"I-I was just on guard, sir. I didn't mean to . . . ."

'Never mind. There's no point in explaining who I am and how I've been doing because anyone will think the Sultan's daughter will do whatever she wants.'

"N-not like that, Princess'

"Then, how?"

"I-I, as far as I know, Mr. Pamularsih lives in village X, a village at the bottom of the Menoreh hill, sir. There he becomes a farm laborer who controls his master. Not a single landowner has the courage to fire him even though he has ruined everything."

"What about the village head? Isn't he trying to protect his people?'

The man shook his head. He knew that the village head was afraid of Pamularsih. Instead of saving the people, he couldn't even save himself.

"The village head won't be able to do that, sir. They are outclassed by Tuan Pamularsih."

Rashid and Amira looked at each other. They immediately nodded and then again punched the body of the man in front of him and took him into a room that had been prepared by the Sultan's bodyguard.

"Ready?"

The man who greeted them lowered his body while glancing at the man who was in Rashid's hand. Seeing the look in the palace guard's eyes, the man looked at the palace guard with shining eyes, angry.

"Yes, sir. Please if you are ready to put a new lion in it"

Rashid handed the captive to the man who was bowing before him and ordered him to do it. The prisoner smiled sarcastically.

"Just watch out if you're alone." The prisoner muttered as he followed Rashid's movements. Five minutes had passed, Rashid and Amira who had been watching the palace guards finished their duties, immediately stepped towards the stairs that connected the dungeon and the sultan's private room. There, young Sultan Adyaksa was sitting reading books. a book about foreign policy that made their country progress and crumble. Two different sides with different handling patterns were able to make the country conform to the wishes of its head of state.

When he saw Rashid and Amira standing with their heads down, the young Sultan Adyaksa smiled.

"You have come, my daughter?'

Amira stepped closer to Sultan Adyaksa Muda and stretched out her hand to shake hands and kiss her father's soft hand. The young Sultan Adyaksa smiled and stroked his daughter's head gently. He hugged Amira because he was happy to see his daughter returned to the palace without coercion from anyone.

Usually Amira refuses his request for some reason that he deliberately made. Many activities, many events and who knows what else made Amira fail to make it to the palace. The young Sultan Adyaksa looked at Rashid then blinked his eyes with a smile. Rashid nodded and left them both in the sultan's private room.

"Is your class over, honey?"

Amira shook her head.

"Still in the seventh semester, Daddy. Just waiting for my Job Training and thesis. I hope that after graduation I can still continue my studies abroad or wherever as long as I don't live in the palace."

"Why? What's wrong with my kid? Don't you want to think of your Daddy as your parent, hmm?"

Once again Amira shook her head. She didn't want to disappoint her father by saying that she didn't want to think of him as a parent. What she wanted was, she could be herself and be able to explore the environment she lived in without having to be bothered by the unwritten rules of the palace which were very troublesome.

"Amira just wants to be like them, Amira's friends who can freely choose whatever they want, Dad. In the palace, it feels like everything is fake. They want to think that Amira exists because they see Amira as the daughter of the sultan. If outside the palace, Amira is accepted because Amira does have the qualifications that can make them accept Amira as she is."

"You seem smart, honey. Whose child is this? Daddy has missed a step."

Amir looked down. Her father's gentle language prevented her from continuing her sentence for fear of offending her father. She is not the only child of Sultan Adyaksa. There is still Anjani, the twin sister she loves very much. Although Anjani's attitude is very different from Amira.

"Daddy, Amira apologizes for making you angry. Amira just wants to be herself."

"I understand. I also understand what makes you nervous. But I will still make you want to stay where you are supposed to be. Has Rashid told you anything?"

Amira shook her head. She hadn't really spoken much to Rashid because of the spies who were stalking her.

"Not yet, Dad. When Brother Rashid came, an intruder also came."

"Intruder?"

"That's right. Dad. We have imprisoned him in the underground prison. Now he may be in the cold place that you have provided for criminals and troublemakers in the territory of you, Daddy. If You are willing, You can visit him downstairs."
