Fumetsu woke up in a quiet place. It seemed like the place was suppose to be dark, but he could see as clear as day.

Fumi tried to select weapons, but the system gave him a firm [Permission Denied. Function is locked until unlocked.] same went for armor and spells. So he was left with skills.

When he opened the list there were millions so he asked the system to narrow it down to the ones he could afford. Only four came back.

[Mana Manipulation: 10 SP], [Stealth: 5 SP], [Meditation: 10 SP], and [Language Control: 20 SP]. He narrowed it down to the reason he wasn't able to select the the spells section was because he didn't have the skill for it.

In the end he ended up buying [Mana Manipulation] and [Meditation].

A chain of notifications popped up in Fumi's face. He was about to continue with the 'Inventory' option when he heard a sound.

He closed down the system announcements and looked to his left. When he looked over he saw a huge black rat the size of a kitten. It's fur was midnight black, with red eyes and pink feet.

'Analyze'he looked at the rat.

Fumi looked at the rat and got serious. He had read many novels in his past life where this happened. He would have to kill that rat.

Wait... Past life? That can wait until later.

He moved forward slowly. When he was close enough the rat stood on it's hind legs and towered over Fumi. 'Now.' He thought as he used [Pounce] and aimed for a weak point on any living being: the underbelly.

After that the two creatures went back and forth.

Notifications once again appeared, but Fumi didn't have the chance to check his status as another rat appeared.

Once again he battled it out with the rat, but since he had already depleted his defense points it started taking away from his health.

He decided he would have to come up with a way to survive down here so he decided to put the system tutorial on hold until he figured out his unfortunately dire situation.
