CHAPTER 6: INVESTING

I started to inspect my stats as I didn't checked it thoroughly with everything going on around me.

When I saw the Affinities option everything was quite average as it was supposed to be other than the 99% in Space and Time which was very unexpected, because these 2 are the rarest of the Affinities in world and have both with such high percentage was simply unheard of.

As if understanding my confusion, the system chimed in.

I nodded my head hearing the system's word until I heard the last line, and my face became dark.

Not able to use the benefit I received from 'my hard work' because of the low-level strength?

But soon I calmed my emotions and consoled myself by thinking that I will be able to use them in future.

Moving on, I asked my next question.

'What about stats like Strength, Speed, Reflexes, Constitution, Mana and Charm'

[Well about that the system has its own criteria, you had to have more than 0 in Mana to be considered as a ranker and you will need addition of 10 in mana to breakthrough to next rank, there will be no minimum or maximum in it, as system will always make you thrive for the peak, so 10 point in a stats of your is equal to 50 of others in every rank. For example, when your mana stat became 1 you were considered as a rank F individual and 10 is peak of rank F and 11 will make you a rank E individual]

[As for other stats, they can only be increased by training or getting as a reward for completion of a quest, another thing is that Charm cannot be increased by training as it is very hard for a mortal to change it but you can increase it by getting a reward for a quest or by activating any of your hidden bloodline.]

I became silent after getting this information as I tried to create the best plan to become the strongest and that was too fast. I was not very surprised with the information about bloodline as earth's protagonist was the one who had a bloodline he got during a desperate time from his heavenly luck, which made him the strongest.

Soon I came to the front of the supermarket and brought the groceries I asked for and went back home.

Just as I entered the apartment, I heard a voice from T.V.

"Breaking News! World Rankers Academy has just announced the result of the chosen students"

As I was removing my shoes, I heard the voice of someone running towards me.

"Brother! Brother come with; they just announced your result … hurry! Hurry!" Amy said in an excited but anxious voice.

To this just gently pulled her soft cheeks as I could see anxiousness for my result.

"My cute little sister, why are you so anxious? What has to happen will happen anyway." I said in a warm voice. She blushed at my words and my warm voice and said with a red pouting face "ugh! … Can you not be serious for one moment? It is a big deal you know, meanie".

"hahahaha" I laughed out at her blushed face and gave a peck on her nose.

"Here, thank you for worrying for me."

Amy's face became so red after this that if it was an anime then she would have had smoke coming out of her ears.

"You!! You!!" Amy stormed out of there after saying this.

I shook my head with a smile and said in my mind 'silly girl.' 

Amy's POV

I had just dried my hair after a bath when I remembered that today was the result announcement day of the World Rankers Academy, and I became anxious about thinking about my brother's result.

So, in hurry I went to his room to wake him up but just as I entered his room, I saw him asleep and he was sweating a lot so I tried to wake him up but he didn't respond and I became worried just as I was going to call mom, I feel someone hugging me and I was startled when I saw it was brother and that he was crying.

I never saw him like that. I shouted to mom in panic when I heard him say 'you are here' I didn't understand what he meant by that, but I suddenly felt sad. As I was going say something back, I heard mom's voice from behind and saw brother look at her and ran towards her, he hugged her too and said "I missed you mom"

Hearing this both me and mom became confused and concerned about what he was talking about.

Just as I was going ask him what happened, mom gave me a glance to not say anything, and she started to console him. After a few minutes he calmed down and I asked him if he was alright but that lazy brother started to tease me.

'HUMPH' I snorted in my mind.

'See who will be worried about you now, huh'

'I won't, you lazy meanie brother, HUMP' I said in my mind.

After this incident, mom and I went to the kitchen to make breakfast while brother went to freshen up.

We all ate our breakfast while having some conversation here and there, I could feel something had changed about brother since morning as he was giving a mysterious and confident aura which was not there before and maybe it was my imagination, but I could feel more warmth and love from his actions.

Now it is 12:00pm and I am sitting in front of T.V to check if that mysterious boasting of my brother is true about announcement of World Rankers Academy or not.

"HUMPH, he thinks he is mysterious, there is no way that they will announce ...… they did!?" I said with a low voice only to become flabbergasted as they did announce it after 12 pm.

I soon came out of my shock when I heard the sound of the door opening as I knew that it was brother, so I ran towards him and told him about the announcement only became red like tomato, with his unexpected attacked.

I ran to my room in panic then touched my nose and thought 'Stupid brother, why did he do that? ugh ... I feel so embarrassed. He always teases me'.

Leon's POV

After the incident with Amy, I sat on the sofa and opened the official website of World Rankers Academy website then logged in with my account to check my rank and class.

"It is the same as mentioned huh and I now have three months before the start of the class, I would not have joined the academy if that was not for that thing i needed that is under the control of the academy" I muttered.

"Well now that is aside, I should start my plan"

"System tell me is there any quest I need to do right now?"

"Interesting quest, well I was going to that anyway, but it feels good to get a reward for my future hard work." I said with a chuckle.

"So, there is no punishment, huh. Good."

[There will never be a punishment host. As I don't control your life and I only exist because you do. As for the punishment you will not need it as you already have a good pressure on you head for survival.]

Hearing systems word I closed my eyes and nodded my head with a proud expression to have such an understanding system only to have my expression change next moment as I heard his last line and somehow felt pitied upon.

Squinting my eyes for a moment, I shrugged my shoulder and accepted the quest.

"System what is the convert ratio between SP (System Points) and WC (World Coins)?" I asked with a serious voice.

[It is 1: 100 host, 1 SP is equal to 100 WC, but I will recommend host to use SP on such backward currency.] said system in an emotionless voice.

Hearing this my eyebrows twitched.

"It is for investing, as tomorrow a relatively unknown dwarf company named Allstones will release a new invention which will take the world by storm which is a nanotech armour, and I am going to buy some stocks of it on the share market to get some profit." I said as I remember mentioning of this company in the novel.

"Now convert 10 Fate Value in SP and then convert those SP in WC"

Hearing this I checked my status and then created a Demat account and invested all 100000 WC on Allstones. The legal age on this earth due to the COLLISION became 16 years. So, I am consider as an adult and had no problem creating a Demat account.
