Chapter 90: The giant wakes up

Brook then started to explain to them about Moria and his ability to take people's shadows and put them on corpses.

"So, all we have to do is destroy the zombies that are using their shadows?" Asked Franky.

"Wait, I think there was a zombie with the Swordman's shadow back in that room." Robin pointed out to the room they just left.

"Already took care of him. And…could you start calling them by their names?" Said Vivi.

"I'll try...is not easy." Robin smiled.

"Here" Brook gave a small bag to Franky. "This is their weakness."

Franky opened the bag and looked inside. "This is just salt."

"Correct. The source of this power comes from a devil fruit, so If you sprinkle some of this on a zombie, the shadow will leave their body as the power will lose its effect." Explained Brook.

"That's handy…wait" Franky looked at Vivi. "You didn't know about this before, how did you free their shadows then?"

"I have been cutting their heads." Said Vivi nonchalantly.

"Ah…" Franky did not know what to say.

"I suppose that would work too…but salt is less...gruesome." Commented Brook.

"Then, let's make use of this weakness. We can find the zombies that are holding the Captain and the Co- Sanji's shadow and free them." Said, Robin.

'Well, she corrected herself with Sanji at least.' Thought Vivi.

"I have no more need to chase after my shadow. So I will offer you my assistance." Said Brook.

"I have another idea." Said Vivi. "Instead of running around chasing some zombies, who we don't even know what they look like…why don't we just go directly for Moria himself?. We can just force him to release all the shadows that he has captured."

"You want to go face Moria directly?!" Said Brook with shock.

"That's a Shichibukai, you know?!" Exclaimed Franky.

"So? We have already faced one of those before." Said Vivi.

"And you lost…" Robin reminded her.

Vivi puffed her cheeks. "Point taken! But this time is different, I am not the same one from back then. Besides, from what I have heard about Moria's ability, his strongest point should be to steal shadows and create an army with them, I doubt He is that dangerous in direct combat."

"mmm, that could be correct. But we still don't know where to find him." Robin pointed out.

"MEEEEAAAAAATT!!!"

The scream was so loud that the bridged shook violently.

"What was that?" Exclaimed Franky.

"I AM HUUUUNGRYYYYY! SANJI FOOD!!"

Another scream.

"That sounds like Luffy, but how can he be so loud?" Asked Franky.

"That did not sound like the Captain's voice. But it is something that He would say." Robin added.

"It can't be! Did Moria put Luffys shadow into some big monster?" Brook said with dread.

Moments later, there was a tremendous noise as the monster smashed his way out of the tower.

"I WILL BECOME THE PIRATE KING!" The giant monster shouted.

They could all see its profile of it in the distance.

"That thing is huge!" Shouted Franky.

"And it definitely has the Captain's shadow." Said Robin.

"I can't believe something that big could exist!" Brook stared at the giant in awe.

"Okay...we now know where Moria is now. Im going first to check things out, I will see you guys there!" Vivi propel herself towards the tower that the giant had just broken out of.

"Wait, Vivi! Don't be reckless!" Warned Robin but Vivi was already flying away.

"Doctor Hogback!, we have a problem!" Shouted Hildon as he flew towards the group.

"What is is? we are very busy right now!" Said the doctor.

"It's the three guys who lost their shadows! They woke up and they are all coming over here!" Informed Hildon.

"What?, they should not be waking up this soon," Said Hoghack.

"I think their fellows woke them up" Concluded Hildon. "I think that they also have a connection with the humming skeleton. I think that He told them everything! They know that the zombie's weakness is salt!"

"What?" Exclaimed Hogback.

"The zombies are afraid of them and are staying out of their way!" Said Hildon.

"Damn it!. Where the hell is Absalon?!, He was supposed to be in this meeting!" Hogback demanded to know.

"Ahh… about that…" Hildon seemed hesitant to say it.

"What is it? Talk!" Shouted Hogback.

"We found him in one of the women's bathrooms." Said Hildon.

"Spying again? will that pervert never learn?" Exclaimed the Ghost Girl.

"Well…no…He is dead" Hildon finished saying.

"What did you say?!" The angry voice of Moria startled them.

The Shichibukai stood back up and walked to Hildon, who looked terrified.

"Give me the details!, who killed my General?"

Before Hildon could answer, a blast of water hit the Ghost Girl in the face and knock her out.

She was positioned right against one of the metal doors that lead to the room where they kept the giant zombie in. Despite her powerful ability, her body was not very strong, so when her head was pushed by the blast of water, it hit the metal door hard enough to knock her out cold.

Vivi had been hiding outside the tower while listening to their conversation, waiting for the proper moment to strike. When Moria turned his back on her to face Hildon, she took the opportunity to get rid of a very dangerous foe.

Vivi did not know how Perona's ability will affect her, but she did not want to take that risk.

Since Hogback was not a fighter. The only threat left was Moria himself.

They all turned to look at Vivi.

"Sorry to interrupt. But since you wanted to know. I am the one who killed that invisible pervert." Vivi gave Moria a smile.

"You are going to pay for that!" An enrage Moria looked at her. "Oz!, come back here."
