"Do you see? They're just Celestial Dragons, flesh and blood like us, without three heads and six arms. With a little help, you can achieve the same thing we did today. The key lies in whether you have the courage to do it and to bear the consequences!"
The longer someone stayed in the gravity field, the more they were affected. Initially, it merely made movement difficult, but over time, Erathin's body began to show signs of strange paralysis, although his consciousness hadn't faded yet.
Erathin could see a group of people seemingly celebrating outside the gravity field.
"Damn commoners, how dare you..."
Erathin wanted to speak, but at some point, he had lost control of his tongue. The poisonous smoke from the lotus trap explosion still lingered in the air.
With his gas mask shattered, the smoke invaded his nose and mouth. Before losing consciousness, the last thing Erathin saw was the sole of a shoe growing larger in his vision.
"Anyone want to step on him? Once we leave here, doing such things will have consequences, and we might never get another chance."
The exoskeleton on Orlan's body emitted a special Hextech energy field that neutralized the effects of the gravity field, allowing him to move freely even when the gravity field was active.
To be thorough, Orlan gave Erathin another dose of anesthetic to prevent him from waking up halfway, then shut down the gravity field.
"I will!"
Orlan's words were still shocking in this sea, having defeated a Celestial Dragon and stepped on him. Such actions further shattered the worldview of those around him.
They were so stunned by the "stepping" comment that they didn't react until Ginny stepped forward and kicked the Celestial Dragon's head.
Nine years of slavery had filled her with hatred for this group. Simply stepping on them was far from enough to vent her anger.
Ginny set an example, and while the people of God's Valley hesitated, the slaves couldn't hold back.
"Bastard! Damn thing! Do you know what we've been through all these years?!"
"Give me back my family! Give them back!"
With angry shouts, countless punches and kicks landed on him. These people finally found the courage to beat a fallen enemy, and the effects were minimal.
The Celestial Dragons had thick skin in more ways than one. Even a spiked club wouldn't cause fatal injuries quickly.
Erathin's clothes were stripped off, and the dead agents suffered the same fate. After piecing together several complete outfits, Ivankov's team found people of similar build to disguise themselves, planning to approach the center of the island and see if they could steal some fruits to increase the success of their operation.
Orlan took the unconscious Erathin back to their base. Shak had just reported that the construction of the device was finally complete, thanks to the craftsmen's efforts.
Both plans were in their final stages, and God's Valley had become the eye of a worldwide storm.
"Pirates spotted! Fire! Fire!"
On the outskirts of God's Valley, the cannons on the navy ships fired frantically. The dense pirate ships tightened the navy's grip on their weapons. These pirates were notorious, none of them easy to handle.
"What's going on? How can there be so many pirates?!"
The navy officer in charge of the lookout was sweating profusely. In all his years in the navy, he had never seen so many pirates at once.
Initially, the navy managed to hold off some pirate ships, but when a special flag appeared on the sea, the delicate balance shattered instantly.
"RS! It's the Rocks Pirates! Repeat, the Rocks Pirates have appeared on the east side of the island! Requesting reinforcements!!!"
The flaming skull replaced the "O" in ROCKS. The iconic pirate flag of the Rocks Pirates began to flutter in the wind. As the most powerful pirate crew of the current era, their appearance shattered part of the navy's morale.
These monsters were beyond their ability to stop, and there wasn't just one but an entire ship full of them.
"Useless navy! Rocks Pirates! Everyone, charge!"
On the flagship of the Rocks Pirates, a long-haired man stood at the bow. With a mere wave of his hand, a navy ship was shattered by his sword energy. Not seeing the familiar navy powerhouses, Rocks's face was full of disdain.
Unable to wait for the ship to dock, Rocks had already charged out.
"Hey, hold up, Rocks! When did we become your subordinates? Damn bastard."
Following Rocks, one by one, tall figures appeared—Whitebeard, Big Mom, Golden Lion, Kaido, John, Wang Zhi, Silver Axe...
Whether renowned pirates or lesser-known apprentices, they were all monsters.
"That idiot Rocks must have forgotten the original goal. We need to clarify."
"Newgate! Don't act like the boss! Or I'll knock you all out!"
"Mamamama, Forget what Rocks wants. Let's grab the stuff and run. You don't plan to fight here, do you? The message said the treasure is in the center of the island."
The Rocks Pirates had a unique composition. They appeared as a unit to outsiders, but in reality, no one obeyed anyone. Driven by common interests, they began advancing toward the center of the island.
"The Rocks Pirates have landed!"
"It's the Roger Pirates! They've appeared too! Pirates everywhere! We can't hold them!"
Without top-tier combat power, the navy's defense crumbled instantly. These navy forces, meant to suppress island civilians, couldn't handle this level of combat.
"All navy forces protect the Celestial Dragons! Organize their orderly evacuation! The Holy Knights will deal with the enemies here!"
The navy's top combat power didn't follow for a simple reason. The Celestial Dragons and the World Government had their high-level combat power. At this moment, Garling bore the responsibility of dealing with these monsters.
"Is everyone back?"
"Reporting to Garling Saint, all except Erathin Saint's team have returned."
"Erathin, what's he dawdling for at a time like this..."
"Garling! Bad news! Erathin's life card has vanished!"
"What did you say?!"
When another Celestial Dragon's words reached his ears, Garling doubted what he heard.
The crafting technique of life cards was unique. They couldn't be burned by fire, soaked by water, and wouldn't vanish even when torn into pieces. Only one situation could turn them to ashes.
It meant that the life card's owner was dead!
