The aftermath of the eradication & Moving Forward

A new day arose in Sagletius, and this new day was followed by a significant change for the Forgotten District's citizens. Waking up to do their usual routine, they noticed that something was going wrong. They felt a particular piece of their world missing.

The kids also began looking around with timid eyes around their environment. Similarly, the women of the district were as confused as the males. Walking around towards the central part, they saw the red-clothed guys and some ordinary clothed guys carrying dead people towards the district's exit.

"Have you saw this? Doesn't those dead people have something in common that is too striking to the eye?" asked confused random citizen #1 while staring at the red-clothed guys moving in and out

"Indeed, their clothes are black and blue. Don't tell me last night the syndicate warred? But I didn't hear any war signs." replied a citizen closer #2 to the first one to speak, yet going also with a question.

"You're wrong here, man. I've heard the conflict from the Leviathan part because I was going toward the junkyard to pick." replied a random citizen #3 to the guys who discussed the syndicate.

"We don't care about what you did at the junkyard. Just tell us what you've heard or saw." interrupted some citizens gathered around the exit zone observing the process of cleaning the dead.

"Wait, wait, don't get violent. I get it. I'll not talk about that. Yes, like I said, I kind of heard and saw some parts of the conflict. It was a tall person who had flowing black hair and a mask on his face. He also was wearing noble clothes. That's all I've seen that night. He was coming from their nest. What's with those faces, guys? I swear I'm not bullshitting you." replied the random guy #3 to the rest of the gathered people.

"A noble? Do you think those high nobles would even bother to step foot on this place?" replied citizen #1 to the one telling what he saw.

Then the group stared as the red-clothed guys began bringing more dead bodies, and as they looked at the operation, one of the random guys said as if he got enlightenment all of a sudden.

"Hmm, you say it was a noble doing all of this? I've seen a young noble around the tavern. But let me tell you, the guy didn't resemble at all a fighter, more like an arrogant noble." entered the conversation, another citizen who saw Vlad around the tavern.

As they began gossiping around that zone, a man in ordinary clothes who looked quite strong arrived at the group and said to them.

"Every citizen of the district has to gather at the central zone. An important message will be related to all of you guys."

Then he left, moving toward another group leaving the rest of the citizens who heard the message to start asking in a quiet tone.

"Isn't that Brogg, the strongest from the Gargoyle? How come he's still alive?"

"How should I know that dumbass. Let's just gather to see what message those in power have for us." replied a random citizen as he began walking towards the central zone.

Meanwhile, around the entire district, people wore regular civilian clothing who were once part of the Leviathan, and Gargoyle distributed the news to all of the citizens to gather in the central zone.

In no time, the central zone was filled to the brim with people, around 20.000 people in total gathered in that zone, looking up at an empty wooden platform. The sounds of whispering began to be heard in the central zone. The people wondered what this was all about. Why would insignificant people be gathered for this event?

The whispering continued, and all kinds of gossip about the reason for this gathering was all about. There were even some theories already formed that the young noble who appeared at the Leviathan Headquarters and at the tavern was the mastermind of everything.

Then the people could see an old man slowly making his way while being protected and escorted by the guys with nasty scars on their faces. Step by step, the whispers dropped down, and if one wanted, could hear each of the steps the old man took while climbing the wooden platform.

Aldenis finally arrived in front of all this gathering of people, ranging from kids to adults. They stood there waiting silently. The old man looked left and right, coughed a few times to get everyone's attention, and started by saying.

"Brothers and sisters, I'm sorry for gathering all of you like this, but I have a message to relay to all of you. Some of you might already have started drawing some connections to the dead being carried out of the district, and I can confirm it for you."

"The suppression of the syndicates will cease to exist. The scourge of the district is now parts of our long history which means we will have to move forward and rebuild this place together."

Looking around himself as he said, he spotted some expressions that seemed to doubt him.

"I see that some of you might think, "What's this old thug talking about? Isn't he also a syndicate leader like the rest?". The answer to this question on some of your faces is NO. I've never considered myself as those bastards extorting you. The cause of building the Syndicate, in my case, is to shelter a portion of you from those atrocious acts. You'll see in the future as a day pass, and the influence of the syndicates will lessen that it will be better for all of us."

"However, this is just a part of the reason I summoned you here. The last part I have to share with you centers around a major problem going forward as a collective. After the end of the conflict with the other syndicates that we won, in this process, we also offended heavily the nobles supporting those same monsters that terrorized you."

"Don't worry. We will get past this future trouble with some help from certain people."

Then as Aldenis wanted to continue his speech, he got interrupted by the questions asked by confident young guys who resounded in the square, making more people gather follow with the question, approving the first one initiative.

"What about the masked person who was spotted leaving the syndicates? Is he our help? Isn't he also a noble?"

Staring at the crowd, Aldenis didn't know what to do. He kept staring at the crowd to collect his words. He remembered that Vlad didn't want to be recognized as the mastermind of this entire plan, and so he looked at the expectant crowd staring at him with a fervor wish to know the truth.

Minutes passed, yet Aldenis was without an answer until he spotted a crimson mouse arriving unnoticed to him. Later jumping on him. Taking that mouse in his hand, like it was magic, on the body of the mice, letters began to appear. Seconds passed, and words were formed on its body.

*Tell them only about Blood*

Dropping the mouse on the ground, the mouse made his way out, dashing towards the back of the crowd where a young man looked calmly at everything happening. The crimson mice turned back in a liquid state before disappearing altogether.

"Go on, old man. As much as I hate being disturbed by people, it doesn't harm having those lost sheep believe in something. Be it in a person or a faith, it builds up to their mentality to live for a better day." said the young man while staring at the wooden platform and Aldenis with a slight frown on his face.

Then Aldenis' old face smiled as he heard the crowd continue questions. Raising his hand slowly, the crowd whispers also began dropping down.

"Brothers and sisters, since you are really curious about this masked person. I will tell you as much as I know about him. That masked person you're asking about calls himself Blood. I also know as little as you about him, but one thing striking about how he conducts himself is his simplicity. He helped you and me for nothing, just his generous heart for changing your lives. As for who he really is behind that mask? It's up to your imagination." ended Aldenis revealing some things about Vlad to the crowd.

In the crowd, all short of whispers began to spread. Some citizens even started saying with satisfied smiles.

"You get it now guys, as I told you, the masked guy is a kind noble wishing to change the kingdom." said a random citizen who got surrounded by a group of younger guys.

"Stop spreading those lies man, we still don't know who this Blood guy is, but his identity matter less to me. We finally got freed from those nasty bastards extorting and forcing us to do their bidding." said a random citizen from the crowd with a happy smile on his face.

"Finally. How much I wished for those bastards to die completely. You guys don't know how it is to live around their headquarters. They enter undeterred by anyone in any house, force you go give out your daughters and even your wives. Argh, so much I wanted to kill some of them with my hands, but I just couldn't. Without any weapon, how could I even possibly take them on? Yet now, I can breathe normally as if my throat is no longer strangled."

"Hooray Blood, Hooray Aldenis"

The cheerful atmosphere began to be spread from person to person as if it was contagious until the entire crowd of 20.000 people started to chant Vlad's persona name and Aldenis name.

The old man didn't expect such a reaction from the large crowd, yet he didn't interrupt their celebration as they cheered for his prince and himself.

"What is this all about, you damned peasants?"

Then as the celebration began to start, the high-pitched voice of a man began to be heard going toward the platform. The celebration got stopped as the citizens looked around with some anger in their eyes. They spotted moving toward the wooden platform a guy who was about 1,72 meters tall, a square-like head, and wearing wealthy clothes. He was accompanied by 30 armored men, all having their arms, a sword, and a pistol strapped on a belt walking in an orderly manner.

"Aldenis, you old fuck, what is this all about? With what gall do you ignore the noble council wishes? Who gave you the idea in that stupid and old brain of yours that you can kill Nellon and Paldot? Answer me, old fuck. Right now to this great Baron."

The citizens who heard the guy seeing his extravagant clothing whispered uninterrupted.

"A noble has come? Who's this noble? Do you know him, guys?" asked a random citizen looking confused at the noble who looked short compared to the tall Aldenis.

"It's normal to not know him. He doesn't come too often here, but I've heard some gossip coming from the Common District that the noble council placed him to watch over the district. He's Baron Trimm Tyrrel." replied back a random citizen who had a goatee and a bow around him, making him more inclined to be a hunter.

"What should we do, guys? Does this mean we'll get again oppressed by someone?" Asked another citizen with a bit of rush in his tone.

"Stay calm, guys, that's a noble. We barely could live under the oppression of the syndicate bastards. If the nobles come and stomp on us, it would be like they were looking at ants." said an older citizen while looking at Baron Tyrrel, who just arrived, and Aldenis, who held a smile on his face.

Meanwhile, on Vlad's side, when he noticed the noble moving towards Aldenis, he also went forward towards the platform in case things escalated and Aldenis got attacked.

Aldenis on the platform stared smiled at Baron Tyrrel before asking him with a confused tone.

"Sir Baron, what a pleasure to see you coming to this important day. However, don't you think it is a bit rude to behave in such a manner in front of all the citizens gathered here?"

"Like hell do I care about those scum. This is not what I wanted to hear, Aldenis. Why have you killed Paldot and Nellon? ANSWER ME!"

"Dear Baron, what would you expect from me? They were planning to kill me. It was exactly that bunch of yours that gave those bastards the approval in doing this. I just defended myself in that process."

'Hmph, lucky old bastard, don't think you're the ruler of this place after cleaning up those two idiots. To refill those missing gaps to us nobles is like breathing air. We just ask the underworld guys to bring some people that we can plant here, to continue our trade network.'

"Listen well, old man, if you want the Council of Nobles to forgive this offense of yours, you'll have to give out 80% of the revenue you get from your trade route passing this shithole and tax revenue." Ended saying the baron with a confident expression on his face while looking at Aldenis's old face and some of his guards.

Hearing Baron Tyrrel asks, that launched Aldenis in a long laugh. This entire conversation was displayed right in front of the simple citizens, who also had their expression change when they heard the percent of money Aldenis would have to give the noble right from their pockets. They all looked at the baron with furious faces, but he just scoffed at them as he looked at the crowd.

"What are you looking at you, dirty peasants? Do you want me to summon the entire noble army to squash you?"

As he said that, he continued to look at the citizens gathered at the platform and, with a satisfied expression looked at them. He looked at their sulking faces until his eyes arrived at a tall young man staring at him as if he was a dead person.

Shocked a bit, he shook his head a bit and looked again in the direction of the young man, but as he did, he couldn't find him.

As he did that, he heard Aldenis say with a calm yet certain tone towards the citizens.

"Don't fear them, brother and sisters. What you have in front of your eyes is the exact definition of degeneracy the nobles of our kingdom are. A gathering of greedy bastards who would work the people of his kingdom to death. You have nothing to worry my friends, the time of the suppression is over. They will no longer have any power over you. As for their treats, treat them as a bunch of pigs screeching for their food."

"That's right. That's right. We don't have to fear those nobles again. We have sir Aldenis and the masked Blood to help us. We're safe now. GET OUT YOU DIRTY NOBLE." yelled with all his breath a middle-aged citizen towards Baron Tyrrel.

And so, as if it was an echo chamber, the chants sounded by the random citizens began to spread.

"GET OUT, YOU DIRTY NOBLE." this chant continued until it made the barons head red from anger, he looked at the large crowd and then Aldenis.

"You bunch of dirty scum actually dare say that to this noble me?" his anger began getting even bigger, turning to look at his guards with some fury and later at the chanting crowd. Then a guard from the first lines came to the baron and whispered to his ears.

"Esteemed sir, we better get out from here if we want to live to sent this message to the noble council."

Some of his clarity got back after hearing this message. "I understand this. I'm not blind. I know what such a large gathering can do to nobles."

Turning to look at Aldenis, he said arrogantly to him, while his face still seemed slightly red from his anger.

"Hmph, don't think I'm done with you just because you got so many people on your side. You'll see and feel on your skin the anger of the nobles. Let's go guys, I can't stay for more seconds in this dirty land."

Aldenis just gave him a smile saying to the baron. "Take your time Baron Tyrrel. You better send the message right to those high nobles. This district is no longer under the nobles' administration, but instead under us simple people."

"Hmph, it remains to be seen, old fuck." ended Baron Tyrrel walking off the tall wooden platform with his guards.

Then as he began stepping down the platform, he heard the sound of something flying in his direction. Turning his head, he stopped an egg going straight to his face.

It splashed on his face dirtying his silk shirt and expensive coat. Soon the citizens, seeing the noble's face getting almost purple from fury, began throwing some of the food they had at hand, such as tomatoes.

"Argh, I want to kill them so badly."

"We can't afford that sir, we will get killed for sure if we try to fight back." replied a guard next to the baron.

Then he made his way out of this angry crowd and quickly moved towards the bridge gates that were the access to the Royal District and the Royal Palace.

When he arrived at the gates and noticed the guards stationed on the other side of the gates, he roared at them, ordering them to open the gates.

"YOU GUYS OPEN THE GATES RIGHT NOW. THIS BARON COMMANDS YOU."

"Right away, Baron Tyrrel."

Then they opened the gates of the bridge for Tyrrel and his guards to pass. Quickly, as if not wanting to be seen by his brethren, Tyrrel dropped some of the dirtied clothes down the bridge in the sea, protecting the castle region.

"What happened in that shithole, guys?" asked a bridge guard, some of Tyrrel passing guards.

"They have thrown a small rebellion against the nobles rule." replied back one of the guards.

"A rebellion, are those peasants crazy? Sigh, I hope I don't get summoned to fight them."

"You better hope so. From what those peasants chanted, there seems to have their own protector, someone called Blood. You better don't step on that shithole, or maybe you'll get killed by those crazy peasants."

"I understand, sir."

By the time the guards finished saying the news to the Forsaken District rebellion, Baron Tyrrel already was only wearing his trousers and shirt while mumbling something for himself.

"Damn it, I have to report this to Duke Lacilet. I hope he doesn't go mad at me for the situation in that shithole. Also, there's that old fuck and this Blood guy. Hmph, don't think you're the rulers of that district yet. Duke Lacilet will know what to do with this situation."

Meanwhile, on the Forsaken District, the cheering sounds exploded out as if the coming of Christ was on full display for Vlad. The citizens chanted all kinds of things from his persona name to Aldenis name, praising them to the skies down to earth.

Some followed quickly and took out the welcoming sign placed by the syndicates and tore it apart. While they were celebrating, the effects of their disturbance were also heard by the Common District, which was relatively closer to Forsaken District than Noble District.

Inside the Common District, inside some large buildings, certain individuals got to hear the news of what happened in the Forsaken District.

A lady drinking coffee whose face emanated the allure of a mature woman. Where her brown eyes, together with her styled black hair, could make any guy dream about her at a certain point. She was reading the letter one of her servants delivered.

*** Lady Felicia, I bring surprising news to you. The Forsaken District began a revolt against the nobles after sir Aldenis managed to crush the rest of the syndicates supported by the nobles. However, from what I've heard from the citizens here, Aldenis got helped by a mysterious masked person who calls himself Blood.

The situation seems stable in the district. The people are willing to follow under sir Aldenis's command. Yet the situation is slightly split here. Some of the people here wish that this mysterious person who helped them would show himself and take control, while others are fine with Aldenis.

Besides this, I have to report that I've encountered a noble gentleman I've never seen while I've spent my time in the Noble District or Common District.

I'm waiting for further orders, my lady. (Signed Jenniffer) ***

The gorgeous lady placed down the letter she received while continuing to drink her coffee. She chuckled a bit before saying to herself.

"Well, well. Things seem to get even more interesting from now on. The pressure on the nobles is starting to get bigger and bigger with each passing day. Aldenis and that mysterious person did well to hit now the nobles. With His Majesty Opheltius on the run, the pressure of the nobles siding with the royal family, the guilds, and now the Forsaken District. Hah, I would love to see Lacilet's stupid face as he hears the news."

She took some empty papers from her desk and began writing something quickly on them. She then ringed a bell to summon a servant. Quickly a young maid arrived inside her office and waited for Felicia to say something.

"Iris, see that those letters arrive safely to Lucil, Blass, and Willhem."

"Right away, my lady." replied the young maid as she took the letters from Felicia's hands before quickly exiting the room.

On the other side of the capital city, inside a large castle, a blonde middle-aged man with blue eyes, with a height of 1,79 meters, was standing in front of Baron Tyrrel while surrounded by a group of nobles. His body structure is that of an average guy. He didn't seem to be muscular but, at the same time, didn't seem to be slim.

"WHAT? Those two stupid bastards actually failed to end that old man? Hmph, I knew the old man planned to betray me after he took a step back from the trade agreement we built. Now he took control of the district and can stop my illegal deals with the underworld. FUCK, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS? Damn it, Joker will not like this news."

"What should we do, Lacilet, have the assassins take out Aldenis?"

"I can't. They are busy searching for that scheming old man in whatever hellhole he hid. We will place pressure on Aldenis and those dirty peasants until all this united mentality gets shattered. When they are at their weakest, we will summon our armies and storm them."

"Then what about the nobles siding with the royal family? Wouldn't they interfere from their fiefdoms?"

"They don't have much power. They can only help them a bit. Well, Baron Tyrrel, breathe well. It's not your fault that those dirty peasants began revolting against our rule. I'll see them handled in the future." ended the blonde Duke while staring at the rest of the nobles gathering around him in the main hall of the palace.
