Chapter 38

From the start, Hollie had never been amicable to their relationship, and now such a thing had happened, along with all the other incidents from before. Ella did not want her mother and brother to know that she was at the hospital, and she hoped that she could leave the hospital before they got here.

Feeling depressed, Ella said, "Nathan, I don't want my mother and brother to see me like this when they get here. Please get me discharged."

Knowing that Hollie was coming, Nathan had a similar idea. Recuperating at home was better too, since the atmosphere at the hospital was not the best. It would be better to care for Ella at home. If Hollie arrived at the hospital and found out that they had a child and subsequently miscarried, she would certainly demand that Ella leave Nathan. Now that Ella had suffered such grievous harm, Nathan had decided not to leave her alone after deeply reflecting upon himself, as he did not want her to suffer any further.
