One thing Thea knew about herself was that she needed tons of water to drink during her tests. And she always made sure to bring a big bottle of water with herself. But today her body seemed to need more water than usual. In front of her sat her friend Harper, she asked her if she had water with her. Harper showed her, her empty water bottle and shook her head no. She asked the girl ahead of Harper but she didn't have it either, nor did the guy ahead her did. Then her gaze moved to her left, where Ryder was sitting.
Ryder was the guy by whom she got annoyed the most. Since the very first day of their class, Ryder always wanted to know about her business. He would be more interested in her marks than she would be for her own marks. He would argue with her during classes and try to pull her leg,key word being "try'' he never succeeded tho. She always would give him her own sassy replies. Which would shut him up, but he never stopped. Although he was tolerable because he wasn't dumb contrary to that he was actually very smart, he was really good at studies, and he looked okay-ish. He wasn't bad looking, but he wasn't super blessed in the appearance department either. And also she was good friends with his best friend Hunter. He was funny, and smart and much more tolerable than Ryder.
She debated whether she wanted to ask him for water, but then thought against it, because most of the times during the lectures he would drink water from her bottle, because he doesn't bring his own water bottle, so today won't be an exceptional case either. He looked pretty concentrated in his paper, not wanting to disturb him for something he won't have she decided to not ask him.
She just let out a big sign and continued with her test. With her eyes on the paper she tried to concentrate on the test and forget about her thirst. A few minutes later she felt something was being kept at her desk, looking up from her paper she saw Ryder keeping her bottle on the desk.
Her once empty bottle was now filled with water. On Ryder's desk she saw his own bottle was now empty. So he had bought his water bottle today, and he gave almost all the water to her.
He took the time to fill my water bottle, when he could have easily just given me his own bottle, she thought. She remembered once telling her friend that she loves to drink from her own bottle, because it's easier to drink from it. She doesn't need to rotate the cap for several minutes to quench her thirst. Just with one strike the bottle's cap opens and saves her time. Did he hear that? she wondered.
Looking at the now filled water bottle of hers she felt her heart flutter. Smiling a sweet smile to him she whispered a thank you to him.The invigilator seeing this gave out a chuckle and disguised it as cough. She could feel her cheeks getting warm at that. Smiling to herself she drank the water and went back to her paper. Even though she had water now, she still couldn't seem to fully concentrate on her test. She couldn't keep her eyes from going to the desk beside her on her left, and she would find him being fully emerged in his paper.
Shaking her head she decided to ignore the incident and concentrate on the exam she had prepared hard for.
She thought maybe he is not as annoying as I thought he was. He is kinda kinda nice.
