L-let me tell you something!

"Hey, could you tell me how'd you do it? Pretty please?"

'Time dilation.'

'Although what I did earlier only affects myself and not my surroundings, that was the issue with the spell. What if someone is able to view me at a rate faster than the current version of my spell?'

'Would I be able to react faster than the opponent's perception?'

'No, if the enemy can perceive faster than the effects of my spell, that would mean that they're physically faster than me.'

'What then? Then, came the reason why I've been experimenting and, as a result, came up with one logical conclusion. I'd just make it so that my enemy perceives time at a slower rate.'

'Using the rock's fall method, I am able to not only dilute the time affecting an object however I will, but a considerable amount of space as well.'

'However, a larger area of space, would require much more mana. Not only that, I could only affect what's within my 'room' of mana sense. As a result, I've only considered using time dilation on myself. Otherwise, I'd get caught in being able to cast such magic.'

"..Hey! Are you listening?"

"..hm? What'd you say?"

"If you don't wanna tell me, it's fine! Hmpf."

"I told you earlier, it's sk-"

"I already said it's fine!", she walked off in a stomping manner. Proving to be upset as she head back towards home.

'Haah. Maybe I should stop here for today as well.' looking down on himself, he was bleeding all over, with numerous burn marks. He then headed towards the home of the village's healer, Tessa.

'Fucking hell. Maybe it was due to adrenaline, but it hurts all over. I don't even want to walk anymore, let alone stand.'

"Yo, anyone home?", Avel knocked on the door as he stated.

"Coming!", a soft feminine voice replied. The door was then flung opened by Jenny, who currently wore a simple white dress and headwear covering her head, but as light is shone against it, glimpses of golden hair could be seen.

"Mother Fulirwe, what happened? Are the Winters' under attack?"

"No-no. Nothing of the sort. Just had a light spar with my sister. Can I come in and request for a heal?"

"Yes, of course.", she made way, allowing him to enter.

"Light spar..? Why didn't she hold back? That seems more than just a 'light spar'."

"Ah, that's because I made fun of her weight."

"Then, that's well deserved.", she replied without a single hint of hesitation.

"I agree.", this time the voice came from a more matured and feminine lady, as she entered the room, looking at Avel with a slight frown. She also wore a white dress and headdress, although hers seems to be a little more sophisticated.

"I agree as well, I took it too far.", Avel surrendered, just wanting to get a quick fix on his body.

"Sit down on the bed over there.", Tess pointed as she began channeling her mana, readying up a healing spell.

"The wounds of the fallen, let light rewind its time and make thee anew. Restore."

A bright layer of a whiteish warm glow enveloped Avel's body almost instantaneously. As his burns and cuts began to heal at a visible rate. After a good minute, the warm glow faded, at the same rate of which it appeared.

'Hm, although it seemed similar to the spell casted as I was a baby. The spell didn't dissipate and flew out into visible particles like Cleanse did.', Avel didn't attempt to 'zoom' in while being under the effects of the spell, fearing the possible colour of his eyes would be known.

'Not only that, it feels as if I'm slightly worn out of stamina. I guess that's how the spell works. I'll try to chant the spell upon myself and see if it works later.'

"Thank you ver-"

"It's 2 silvers."

'Why am I never able to finish a sentence?'

"Ah, I didn't bring any money with me. Could I come back to pay?"

"What? Boy, you have some nerve. That won't do. Since you've bothered me at this hour, I'll have you run some errands."

"Wha- isn't this place always open?"

"You wish. I may be the village's healer, but I only work in the afternoon and on weekdays. It's early morning on a weekend. That's the exact opposite of my working shifts. Jen, be a dear and hand him the note that I gave you yesterday for him to work on instead."

"Yes, High Mage Tessa."

'...guess I'm doing chores? I should've known better that the village's healer isn't up all the time. I guess it's partly my fault for not knowing. Still, she could've cut me some slack.'

In the next few hours or so, Avel is seen around the village, knocking on some of the villagers' doors and requesting what's required in the note.

"Hm, aren't you Winters' kid? Oh, running errands for the Healer Tess, ay? Just a sec'."

'Apparently, this note serves as a proof of identification or some sort. The villagers' are aware that as I hold this note, I'm assisting Tess.'

[As much as I examined the note, there doesn't seem to be any signs of Magic being used on the note itself. There isn't a form of symbol signifying that it's from the High Mage, Tessa either.]

'This should be the last one.', as Avel cross-examined the items he received and what's written on the note, he headed back to the house of the healer.

"Ayy, Christmas' came early.", he announced himself by the door even though it was wide open for him to casually walk in, he stood there awaiting someone to allow him in.

"You're done? Come in and put the items over there by the table. What's this Christmas, you speak of?"

"It's nothing. There's one last thing written on the list that says, 'revamping Wilsyn Yrenoir magic circuits' what's that all about?"

"Oh, that. Well, I guess you could accompany me on visiting the kid. Since you'll experience it yourself when you're ready to awaken your magic. Follow me once you're done setting the things down."
