I don't want to 'fly'

"He's doing it, honey! Just a little more, Avel! Yes!"

"Be careful, my love. Slow and steady, so you don't slip and fall again, okay?"

"Don't worry, honey! This time he will succeed!"

'That's right, old man. This is the one!'

Elizabeth couldn't help but be worried yet proud of her son slowly inching towards her husband. It's been six months since Avel has been brought into this world and, today both her husband and herself thought that it's time that the baby learns to crawl.

"YEEAAAAAAH!! I'm so proud of you, champ!" Gareth lifted his baby with both hands on his side as if he was lifting a trophy for the World Cup. Then slowly set him back down before moving back, away from the child.

"Alright, champ. This time, crawl towards who you love more! Me or your mom, haha!"

"Honey, there's no way he could unders-"

As soon as Avel heard that he began to crawl towards his mother. Prompting both his parents a face of surprise. They were confused as to why their son was able to understand what one of them had said.

"Ah! Maybe it's because he initially crawled towards you earlier! This time he decided to do so to me, as well."

"Oh, you're right!"

'Well.. I guess that's half-right? But I've learnt that women, especially mothers are never wrong, so...'

As Avel finally reaches his mother. Elizabeth couldn't help but hug her son, feeling full of joy and pride. She loves her son so much that she would be proud of every achievement he's ever made.

"Alright! Since he's crawled towards you. This time he'll decide which one of us he loves more!"

Funnily enough, Elizabeth didn't argue or question this time as she couldn't help but be curious to the answer as well. Both of them decided to move a few distance away from their child and stood on two paths for their son to choose.

"Cmon, son! You know you love me more!"

"Hey, that's cheating! You can't encourage him to crawl towards you!"

"Ah! You're right!"

After a moment of hesitation, Avel decides to make a play that'll stun their hearts, as he slowly crawl towards his father.

"That's right, champ! I knew you always loved me more!"

As Elizabeth was just about to put on a sad face showing her true emotions, it was instead placed with a surprised one again.

This was because, halfway towards his father's path, he began to turn and crawl towards his mother instead.

"Nooo! What about all the good times we played 'fly'!"

'It's because we played 'fly', dammit! Well, not only that but that's one of them!'

As he finally reached his mother again, she couldn't help but hug him tighter with tears of joy this time and, even sticking her tongue out a little to mock her husband.

"Huu, I guess that's the end of us playing, 'fly' together, champ."

'What! I couldn't be more happier! I'm so glad I've done this.'

"Instead we'll play 'fly' version 2.0! I'll make sure you'll love me more next time!"

Avel couldn't help but make an expression that seemed as if the end of the world was coming, prompting both his parents to laugh at the sight.

Not long after, Avel was placed in his baby crib for his afternoon nap.

'It's been a few months since I've come into this world. Sometimes, I ponder whether I was reborn as a baby, or that I've somehow took over this baby's body. If that's the case then I hope that he could take back his body, since this isn't rightfully mine. However, over the past months, there hasn't been any signs of such, instead I've adapted more into this body, getting my motor functions of about 50-60%.'

'I've even been able to crawl just now.'

'In terms of mana control progression, I would say I'm at the 80-90% mark. I feel like it could be a 100% but I think I would need a few more days of practice to be confident that to say that.'

'I've been messing around with the flow of mana in my mana veins, rotating the direction of clockwise and anti-clockwise. I've even made it so that I'm able to allocate any amount of mana, wherever I want.'

'For example, I can move the mana from the upper region of my body, all the way down to the lower region on a concentrated level. Making the leverage from 50-50 to 0-100.'

'However, doing this makes it so that I'm unable to move any parts of my upper limbs or head. I guess mana is required for basic motor functions.'

'Hence, I've adjusted the leverage to about 10-90, and I'm practicing such that I would try to make it so that, if the leverage is 1-99, I'm still able to move the upper region of my body as usual.'

'That concludes my mana progression. In terms of the language that I'm learning, I'm often taught by my mum on it. Although I've not spoken any words besides to poop or pee, I could more or less understand the basic flow of a conversation.'

'I'm often taught with a children's book and sometimes even, on the magic research that my mother has been working on.'

'I assume it won't be long for my mana progression to reach a 100% control, before I fully understand the language that is spoken.'
